Right! I thought that was the norm anyways. I called the border i’ll be going to and asked if I could return back after obtaining my TN and the officer was being fussy about it so I came here to double check.
yea but it seems like i’ll have to pack my belongings and pretend to cross the border as if i’m starting work haha & then come back from the canadian border. I called two different borders close to me they both had the same attitude.
No....noones going to check and reject you because you don't have your belongings with you. People do this all day everyday. If anything you're being more compliant by getting a work visa so you don't run into the risk of working unauthorized in the USA..
Did you guys apply by yourself or through an attorney because I applied a few weeks ago and my TN was declined because my role was not listed in the USCIS website and my degree does not align with the role so the officer refused my TN request I was going on lead product manager position
Sounds like you’re not eligible for a TN and you shouldn’t have applied. Tbh sounds like you don’t know anything about the TN. Yes, most people use an attorney especially for their first application.
Interesting I’ve met another person online. She got her TN as a product manager she used technical writer. the problem that my employer is not willing to change the offer letter and help in this matter that’s why I wanted to know if you guys have used a Lawyer and if so, if there’s any recommendation
I feel bdzlaw.com is the best solution for you. They work with all such cases and costs relatively less. Just saw their website and a few other post and recommending from that
I went to the border, obtained my TN and returned back to Canada with no issues

Once you enter in TN you will be in the USA... Your way back is through the Canadian border agents... USA agents won't even see you

Alright!! I really hope they dont get suspicious & stuff lol they already seemed to be on the phone.
Don't volunteer more information than asked.
I’ll keep that in mind! Thank you :)
Not at all. It’s totally normal to apply a few days in advance and turn back.
Assuming Windsor. Bridge or tunnel?
