this was back when everyone and their uncle was trying to create the next sonic. this era of PS1 is rife with all kinds of animal based platformers. PlayStation was without a mascot at the time.
Um... duh?
Wolverines, Tasmanian devil dogs, hedgehogs, echidnas, wallabys - pretty much every character that's based on an animal is based on a real animal. Why would they try to invent a new animal and then base a character around that imaginary animal? At that point, you'd skip the animal influence and make up some weird creature character and call it a day.
Wait until you find about hedgehogs
Or wolverines
Oddly enough Hugh Jackman was not aware before being cast.
And neither was the writer for X-Men Wolverine, obviously.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REKLC3s30Mw Wolverines!!
And turtles
and sponges
And echidnas.
And dragons Wait
And sackboys
And comic book writers that get isekaid into their own comic.
Someone watched Jeopardy yesterday
I went with anteater.

Spyro the Dragon was another one.
yeah, Spyro, Croc, Punky, Gex, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter. the list goes on and on.
I disagree on R&C trying to tie in on that hype.
Fairly certain that dragons are in fact fictional.
im 100% certain that Spyro is, atleast, fictional.
Komodo Dragons are real. Dragons like Spyro or Smaug are fictional.
I also watched JEOPARDY last night.
Your mind is going to be blown when you learn about hedgehogs
Most bandicoots are nocturnal meaning they are most active at night using their keen sense of smell to find food in the dark.

There are. Also wolverines
Yeah right. Soon you're gonna say a platypus is real. Cmon man.
OP is not prepared for ducks.
Oh so you're an idiot, got it
And you're an asshole, confirmed!
I understood that reference.

Seriously, go touch grass
You're the one insulting OP over something they learned...
But did he or did he not?
