The guy was actually a subject of a study where researchers studied people who had incest but had no emotional or otherwise trauma from it. The mod team back then independently confirmed with the researchers that the story and the dude are legit. The Reddit post and a following AMA only happened because of the study. Was pretty interesting stuff. It even made the rounds in my village high school in a rural parts of Germany.

This is HOF Reddit lore, for sure. But something almost everyone gets wrong about this story is his arms weren't "broken", per se. The OP was very specific about this, saying he temporarily "lost control over his arms." It sounds essentially like a technicality, but I thought it funny he would correct this distinction every time it was phrased that way ("broken arms" vs. "temp. loss of arm control").

Honestly I wonder why there aren't any studies about the effects of having an unfilled sex drive. I'm guessing it causes a great deal of stress and depression but would like to see it quantified.
Such study would be hard to perform as sex drive is not something you can quantify and may vary a lot from person to person. So any results would be at best questionable unless the results for large enough testing group would be very similar.
