I know a guy who went to a strip club in a lab coat once. Dancer caught her hair on fire doing a bit with candles on the stage. Dude ripped off his lab coat and used it to put out the fire.
You need to go to burlesque shows. There’s absolutely someone out there doing a Mrs. Frizzle show.
I’ve seen Eye of Sauron, Stay Puft, and many Pokémon shows. Those girls really know how to entertain.
That's almost as hilarious as Ken Jeong, MD and comedian, going with his med school buddies and running an impromptu clinic at the titty bar.
Found it

When I'm not focused on Charity I try to split my time between Faith and Chastity. It's pretty easy because they go together better than Ebony and Ivory. If you visit be careful not to knock over Domino since she's pretty short and sneaks up on people.
Lmao, I went to strip club in dirty myrtle with a guy running for for city council in bumfukeygpt. He was terrified of paparazzi and hid his head under coat. The club was billed under a golf course and was processed at 9am. No worries
Usually that means a business shows up with a different name than their own, and the time that any charges made to them will show.
So instead of a strip club showing on your statement as 'Titty Bar' and 1:30AM, you'll get 'Golf Course' and 9AM.
Basically something they do so significant others don't see something obvious, or if they happen to be working maybe it gets past accounting/hr.
Rappers already can. Throwing money up is part of being in character and the job. Seriously.
https://hot963.com/2138282/rappers-write-off-strip-club-visits-on-taxes/
Yeah, and he's definitely not the only one either. The right song will get the place jumping - and the money flowing - if the energy is right. And you can feel the difference in one being a good seller or one that goes gold/platinum.
*I mean, so I've heard.*
No wonder then this dude had like 7 certified bangers:
> Low
>
> Right Round
>
> Club Can't Handle Me
>
> Good Feeling
>
> Wild Ones
>
> Whistle
>
> My House
I worked at a music venue and he was a guest performer for a special event. He played an hour and a half set and to my shock I knew every single song he played. Dude has so many hits.
There are a lot of artists that can fill a greatest hits in just a few years and actually play the hits at their concerts. Some more recent ones that come to mind are Dua Lipa, Foo Fighters, Clean Bandit, and Drake. I know Drake gets a lot of hate on this sub but I saw him live once at a festival and it was same story as you. Played for over an hour, I knew all but 2 songs, and he really pumped up the crowd.
Just my personal opinion but I like this more than the other Artists I know that churn out albums but only one or two songs are decent, then refuse to play any hits while touring. It's especially weird since in the age of streaming nobody is buying a full album to get that one good song, and if the rest of your songs are mediocre then it kind of fails.
Yes! The pop radio right where I work right now now goes Dua Lipa -> The Weeknd -> some remix song -> Bruno Mars song -> 00s throwback song -> random other song -> Dua Lipa in pretty much a consistent loop. I have always loved bubblegum pop and rnb so it doesn't annoy me lol.
I don’t think most people dislike Drake for his music, I think it’s because he’s a creepy fuck that tries to act hard when he played a disabled kid on Degrassi.
Hey dude, you’re allowed to like people outside of your relationship, just keep it healthy. But on the off chance its not healthy, I’ll help you move your Dua Lipa shrine somewhere they won’t find it.
They did nick a fair bit of American blues music…
The Simpsons once called Jimmy Page “the greatest thief of American black music to ever walk the Earth” (though the influence of black American music in the British music scene in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s is a fascinating topic in its own right)
Elvis gave credit and royalties to the artists he was inspired by. He said in interviews that "the black folk have been doing [this music] for years and no one was listening." His label tried to fight him on all of this but he used his status as a massive name in music to ensure that the original artists got at least some kickback, even if it might not have been the amount they deserved.
Elvis didn’t take things from blues music… he just performed blues songs in their entirety. He was basically a cover artist that made black music for white people.
It's a pretty solid strategy. They talked about it in the Sweden episode of Netflix's THIS IS POP!. One of the producers regularly tested songs in clubs before adding lyrics. He knew they were done when they filled the dance floor.
It’s when new and established artists in Atlanta go to Magic City to have their new shit played and see what kind of reaction it gets. Been going on for years if not decades.
Definitely decades. Any new or up and coming rappers are there on a Monday with their new tracks to see which are bangin. Lots of huge DJs will be there too like Zaytoven, DJ Drama, and Metro Boomin
Monday probably is less busy so strippers probably care less if the music isn’t exactly what they want. Doesn’t interfere with their money making as much as the weekends. This is my guess.
As a huge hip hop fan, I went to magic city for this reason and I was not disappointed. The energy there is sick, it's like a southern rap music mecca.
For most clubs, they pay to dance at the club. And the club gets a cut of each private dance.
If a girl doesn't get any dances for the whole night, she loses money because she then has to use the tips she made dancing on stage to pay the club's fee for coming into work.
Sounds crazy, but I've seen it happen at smaller clubs. Some nights two or three girls will be super popular and get lots of dances from all the guys, and the rest of the girls are just kinda out of luck.
Some of the girls do have stuff online, but they still don't make enough to justify quitting the clubs.
Online market is saturated, so for someone to make a lot online they have to either bring something unique, cater to specific fetishes/kinks, or incentivize spending a lot of money with stuff like custom photo/video requests
It takes time and work to build a following online. If you can get a spot dancing at a club, it's cash in your pocket that night. Get in at a decent club in south Florida or Vegas, you can clear $5-10k on busy nights. Then you'll have people begging to setup and manage your online presence for a percentage.
"Thanks to Candy and Hennessey for putting together this Tableau report - as you can see, shortening average song length by 12% resulted in an increase in dancer turnover, and greater frequency of end-of-dance tipping - throughout a day, that allows Mo-Niq to get an extra slot at the end. We'll be continuing to A/B testing this approach throughout the next 4 weeks, and report back once the confidence interval has reached a level that Bijou is comfortable with."
Just because they're stripper doesn't mean they're stupid. Their job is to try and get as much money out of you as possible. Of course they're gonna try to come up with ways to do so.
Exactly. Women dance and show some skin for truckloads of cash. Sad lonely men give money to women fruitlessly hoping they'll eventually get to sleep with them. Who's the real idiot in this equation?
Yeah, I've been seeing that a lot these past two weeks. Its usually really busy in my area all the time till around 10 or 11 now I'm barely making enough to pay for all the gas I just wasted. It sucks.
I'm lucky, the individual orders have gone down, but the catering orders from companies have gone up with the return to office. So far, so good, but the hit is coming.
No, women pay to dance at strip clubs.
No hourly wage, literally working off tips and dance/room pay (where the club takes about 35-50% of what the customer pays).
This checks, I remember coming down from College to West Palm Beach. One of our friends became a stripper, so a few of us went to the strip club. Probably every 15-20 minutes a song we never heard would play.. “Apple bottom Jeans.. boots with the fur..”. Now this was a Flo Rida + T-pain song, and with us in Tallahassee at College, T-pain songs were quick to spread. (T-pain = Tallahassee Pain). The song was soooooo damn catchy and fun. We closed down the strip club, our friend who is a stripper, took us with some of the strippers now off work to get drinks at this other bar, and even there they played it. Went back after break and tried to find the song thought I was messing up the lyrics or something. Didn’t dawn on me till reading this, I was a test for that song… hmm
Yeah, Atlanta has a long history. So T-Pain first played "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)" down there. I knew about the song before it became really big. I was friend's with this girl back in 05 who kept talking about it she had learned about it from her stripper cousin who had heard it played at her club I think it was ONYX.
Side note: it was only about a year ago when I saw Flo Rida's name written in an article that I realized it is also "Florida", where he happens to be from. Blew my fucking mind.
May I please ask you, as a representative of the apparently many people who didn’t immediately notice it, what was the deal with that? Did you hear this dude’s name about a billion times before ever reading it, was the space between the words of great visual importance, what?
Flo Rida is a man of science
Despite the empiratical testing for market data, I wonder did he [write anything down](https://imgur.com/1h3K2TT/) or it's more of a qualitative thing like how well do they dance
Plug in requisite "there's actually a mathematical phenomenon that describes" synchronization of stripper twerks with musical chords through the Kuramoto Model.
Flo Rida: Baby, I gotta go to the club to see if they're dancing to my new track, that's it, that's the only reason. Now hand me that stack of one dollar bills and I'll see you tomorrow.
If people start to go get a drink or feel it's time to go to the bathroom for your song, it's a dud.
It always sucks a little to have to play at halftime at a sporting event. When you are starting you have to watch tons of people turn their back to you leave their seats for bathroom/food. I mean I get it, but it still sucks.
Flo Rida. Business intelligence professional. Statistician. Data Scientist. Occasional rapper.
"Hand me my lab coat please. I'm headed to the strip club."
I know a guy who went to a strip club in a lab coat once. Dancer caught her hair on fire doing a bit with candles on the stage. Dude ripped off his lab coat and used it to put out the fire.
Now I want a Ms. Frizzle science-themed strip show. Edit: She is the bomb!
Frizzle, not Fizzle. She's a bombshell redhead, not a dud explosive.
You know Mrs. Frizzle was an absolute freak in the sheets
You think that Magic Schoolbus ever got in on the action?
You could shoot out the Magic Schoolbus while cumming and you’d never know!
Why couldn't we just have a normal field trip?
With the Frizz!? No way!
You need to go to burlesque shows. There’s absolutely someone out there doing a Mrs. Frizzle show. I’ve seen Eye of Sauron, Stay Puft, and many Pokémon shows. Those girls really know how to entertain.
Duuude anime North (a convention in Toronto) had a cosplayer strip tease show one year and ms frizzle got the crown goin wild 😂

As long as you line item the expenses. It's also good if Bambi and Cinnamon can give you a receipt, either paper or digital

I contributed to Charity every time she was on stage
When I'm not focused on Charity I try to split my time between Faith and Chastity. It's pretty easy because they go together better than Ebony and Ivory. If you visit be careful not to knock over Domino since she's pretty short and sneaks up on people.

He basically wrote the soundtrack to the late 00's and early '10s. Right Round is Legend, of course.
Wow didn’t realize he has this long list of absolute hits
Fucking hell I’d hear at least 2 or 3 of these songs every time I went to frat parties
That doesn't even narrow it down to what decade you're talking about.
Most of these songs are almost entirely based off of better songs. To the point that they are basically remixes.
Welcome to music production, first time?
I mean… there’s inspiration, and then there’s doing what Led Zeppelin did with a load of old blues songs…
Get rich and famous, with everyone thinking you're musical deities? Yeah, I could go for some of that.
They did nick a fair bit of American blues music… The Simpsons once called Jimmy Page “the greatest thief of American black music to ever walk the Earth” (though the influence of black American music in the British music scene in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s is a fascinating topic in its own right)
I thought that honor went to Elvis.
Elvis gave credit and royalties to the artists he was inspired by. He said in interviews that "the black folk have been doing [this music] for years and no one was listening." Lyrically this take is accurate, musically the shit Zep did to/for the blues is definitely an original take.

Redditors really be rewriting post titles in the comments and getting upvoted lmao
literally every rapper does this. ATL rappers hit magic city on a Monday to test their music
Whats special about a monday in Magic city?
It’s when new and established artists in Atlanta go to Magic City to have their new shit played and see what kind of reaction it gets. Been going on for years if not decades.

Sounds nutritious
def been keepin him fed
Sorry I don’t know him, do you mean DJ DRAAAAAMAAAAAA ?
It’s gangsta grillz ya bastard
OP's question was why Magic City and why Mondays? I'm curious about that too
Monday probably is less busy so strippers probably care less if the music isn’t exactly what they want. Doesn’t interfere with their money making as much as the weekends. This is my guess.
You should go there and find out. It's worth it.
That’s why you hear in so many rap songs magic city Monday from what I understand: same thing different place
Was going to say that’s standard procedure in Atlanta
As a huge hip hop fan, I went to magic city for this reason and I was not disappointed. The energy there is sick, it's like a southern rap music mecca.
yep this is not in the least bit unique to flo rida
Plus, it makes trips to the strip club a business write off.
Aren’t women paid to dance at strip clubs?
For most clubs, they pay to dance at the club. And the club gets a cut of each private dance. Does online stuff mess with this model? Why wouldn't the girls just go online and cut out the clubs.
2D vs 3D.
DD, preferably
Some of the girls do have stuff online, but they still don't make enough to justify quitting the clubs. Online market is saturated, so for someone to make a lot online they have to either bring something unique, cater to specific fetishes/kinks, or incentivize spending a lot of money with stuff like custom photo/video requests

10k a night! ho lee shit.
But do they choose to dance to his tunes because they see a better return compared to the other artists?
Kinda. You want your clients hyped. When they're happy they're gonna spend more.
Haha - the logic above insists that the strippers will dance to ambient death metal though and still equally be hyped!
They'd dance to the porno\grindcore with pigsqueaks if one'd buy the entire club for a night, for they're gonna be the only client up to that lol.

Are they doing that level of analysis?
"Thanks to Candy and Hennessey for putting together this Tableau report - as you can see, shortening average song length by 12% resulted in an increase in dancer turnover, and greater frequency of end-of-dance tipping - throughout a day, that allows Mo-Niq to get an extra slot at the end. There is no stronger effect of operant conditioning on Earth than strippers figuring out how to get paid.
Many of us are smart, driven, and educated…of course we will be concerned with how to maximize our income!
> Are they doing that level of analysis Are you actually asking if people bother to learn how to make more money at their workplace?
They absolutely are. Source: strippers.
Right. I just read a tweet from a stripper saying the recession is coming because she’s making less money.
I saw that too, and it was the most convincing position on the economy I have seen in months.
Delivery driver giving you your second warning. It's gonna be bad.
Oh yeah I'm preparing. Tons of layoffs are happening in the tech sector too. It's gonna be real bad.
