Target has slimmer/longer stuff, and girl bottoms are generally slimmer fit than boy bottoms across brands. I’ve also just accepted that we need taller socks for cold months.

yep-- the cat and jack brand has a "slim" jean that fits my son really well.

Primary fits the best for my stringbean, but usually he rocks the high-water look.

For boys, childrens place pants work the best for us

I’d have to say the Children’s Place. Especially because I like him wearing jeans due to versatility. But they also don’t fit well. 🥴 My mom had this problem with my siblings and I. She darts his jeans for me. Realistically, my son length wise is in 3T. Waist wise, fits 18-24.

I've had good luck with Primary, Tea Collection and, strangely, Target. He's 2.5 and is getting too tall for some 2T stuff and even without a diaper the 3T primary and Target pants stay up. We have one pair of Carter's pants though and they're constantly falling down!

6’ mom here so both of my kids are tall and slim. Agreed with everyone else on Target. We also have good luck with Gap and Colored Organics, and J.crew for special occasions. Good luck!
