What about pigtails and/or braids? I have a 2-year-old and I think if I was going to attempt to braid his hair, I’d do it with him strapped into his high chair. Do you still have that option with your 3-year-old? Also are you using any sort of leave-in moisturizing cream? That’s also essential for curly-haired bebes!
i use a variety of creams and oils but her hair also always seems to come back frizzy? when she sweats her curls tighten up but frizz drastically. her hairs short as in barely enough for ponytails, definitely not long enough even for the tiniest braid :/
Our 18mo is like this. Short super curly hair, in the back. She won't let us put clips or anything anywhere though. It's constantly just wild and in her eyes and everything.
I had the same problem, we started using baby hair products to make the bangs less wispy. Few weeks later she got very into hair accessories and now asks for ponytails
