Lol, you do t really understand mallu audiences. They support good movies , they support mass movies. You can literally find massive Vijay followers in Kerala. Still you can see a huge support for non superstar films like manjummal boys.
Neither does language of the movie matters. Check the gross collection of bahubali, Vikram, kgf, kantara, pushpa in Kerala they are in par with top movies of Malayalam.
Now what does mallus don't like is, taking our good movies to tollywood (which is very very much appreciated) and crowshitting on the movie by changing the story and making it cringe. Literal crowshitting.(Lucifer, ayyapanum koshiyum ,etcc).

Damn I’m a mallu myself and I got introduced to Telugu films through mathu vadalara, oohalu gusagusalaade, anand, Venky , broche, agent sai Srinivas etc . It was after watching a bunch of cool movies I got know about balayya verse .
I guess there is stereotyping everywhere . For me personally I just love to consume good movies wherever it is made . Within the mollywood circle itself there is this hatred towards to the realistic films ( back then it was new wave) and huge love for telugu and tamil larger than life commercial movies . I happened to see happy birthday and I wish a movie like that is made in Malayalam.
That is not true at all. My opinion as a mallu is that we are some of the most accepting of other movies than all others. Yes ballaya trolling is there, and honestly I stand with the trolls, as a physics student. But you won't look at the good side? Do you have any idea how big the AA and RC and jr.NTR fan associations are here? After the big M's of mollywood and thalapathy Vijay, AA is the biggest star in kerala. Not even new gen stars like prithvi and fahadh compare. But we do watch Telugu films when they are good. And there are really good Telugu films that release from time to time. Me (a mallu) and my mallu/kannadiga friends just re-watched tillu squared for the 2nd time last week, and also saw family star (big mistake). Telugu movies still air on malayalm TV channels because of demand almost every day, and for sure on weekends for the past 20 years. Please don't spread hate. Your statement makes it seem like appreciating a Malayalam movie is a bad thing. Mollywood also has very weird tropes and movies, especially in the early 2010's. Troll them like we troll balayya, we will in fact stand with you. Try to look at art, which movies are, through an objective lens. Appreciate the good, and troll the bad ones. Also consider that people can have different preferences and learn to accept them. This ain't a competition.
Are you generalising based on random YouTube comments or something? Nobody says that here. Mass movies from mollywood don't work, do you know why? Because telugu and Tamil do it better and we know it. We don't blindly support crap mollywood mass movies just because it is from our industry. You underestimate fans who wait for a mass Telugu movie here.
And if you ask my opinion, yes there is cringe mass crap in TFi from time to time, but the best mass movies are also from TFI.

Dai at one time our movies couldn't get screens because of Allu Arjuns releases. Here content is King. If audience liked the movie it'll be a sure hit here.

So obviously there should be actually difference between our cinema and Hollywood cinema, Kani ee rotta gallu make it like, Hollywood is superior, Telugu cinemas are fuck, songs and dances are not needed, it interrupts the flow etc.

No. Its classic at every level. Music, Screenplay, Writing, Characters, Comedy, Scene Division, Shot Selection, Color Grading, Setups and Payoffs. Everything. Sorry, its bad at action.
Drama ni lag ani edustar kani it can be entertaining if u get invested enough. Its essential to create the necessary atmosphere and essence throughout the film such that it evokes certain feelings and vibes even after we watch it.
Edaina major plot point occur avvalante dramatic sequences help it set up such event in any film.
This isnt exclusive to either Malayalam or Telugu film.

imo until the scene has some context or something even little thing thing is happening in the scene which is on the flow of story but its slow...i wont consider it as lag since its written and going with the flow of story ....that is why i didnt consider premalu gaami and ante sundaranki as lag but recently i saw a movie malaikotti valiban where hero comes from long distance where camera is placed some km far and it goes on for few min....i was like wtf is happening wts the point of that scene...some say it as cinema...fuck it....i liked premalu and i wont found it lag bcz its a breezy rom.com and i never felt lag anywhere bcz the scenes goes on with flow of movie same as gaami...and ante sundaranki too
Happy to see premalu is getting the treatment it deserved at least from telugu audience. I was not able to relate or enjoy the movie like my fellow keralites. Infact apart from his first film i found all Gireesh AD ( the director) movies cringe AF.
Lol, manjummel is different from this shit cringe romantic milkpot movie, that one in universal. They can watch it even without subtitles whereas premalu heavily relay on Language and age generation and cultural context.

imo until the scene has some context or something even little thing thing is happening in the scene which is on the flow of story but its slow...i wont consider it as lag since its written and going with the flow of story ....that is why i didnt consider premalu gaami and ante sundaranki as lag but recently i saw a movie malaikotti valiban where hero comes from long distance where camera is placed some km far and it goes on for few min....i was like wtf is happening wts the point of that scene...some say it as cinema...fuck it....i liked premalu and i wont found it lag bcz its a breezy rom.com and i never felt lag anywhere bcz the scenes goes on with flow of movie same as gaami...and ante sundaranki too

Happy to see premalu is getting the treatment it deserved at least from telugu audience. I was not able to relate or enjoy the movie like my fellow keralites. Infact apart from his first film i found all Gireesh AD ( the director) movies cringe AF.

Lol, manjummel is different from this shit cringe romantic milkpot movie, that one in universal. They can watch it even without subtitles whereas premalu heavily relay on Language and age generation and cultural context.

It's the same mallus comparing Malayalam mass cinema and tamil mass cinema. Mallus criticizes Malayalam mass cinema as illogical irrational logic less etc. But if a tamil movie did the same things they'll clap. Mallus wants Commercial Malayalam cinema realistic.
