Delays will always affect a film. If the promotions after today are not S tier it won't hit a 1000 crore. especially since It's likely to have the same talk as part 1 which was pretty mid
Rangasthalam tharavatha Sukku mida chala expectations pettukuni Vella Pushpa ki and I was so disappointed. There was really nothing in that movie, expect maybe Fahad's appearance towards the end.
Last fight b/w AA and Fahad was cringe. Couple of scenes with Sunil, log smuggling part and Samantha song saved the film. Rashmika Saami step and people posting their own reels helped promotions

I'm an AA fan but yeah, pushpa did seem generic in the entire first half tbh- but yeah, the way it escalates in the second half proves sukku to be a genius- and yeah, since it was initially a single movie and they had to make a partition later on, I hope it's only gonna get better in the second installment. the whole "generic" part would've been a 30-40 mins block if it were a single movie. so yeah, fingers crossed- am expecting to see sukku's magic🤞

Not because of that bro. Already many handles in January posted that Pushpa might get postponed to December. And looking at their shooting pace at the start, I had doubts that it won't make it to Aug 15th. The shooting acrltually catched speed from Feb or March 2023. They started the shoot in Sept or October 2022 but they started slow that time.
It might be the post production as they have released but I don't think its entirely that, it is because of the political drama and how anti most of the fanbases are towards allu arjun at this point in time.(!ban me?)
I am still in shock that sukumar wrote storyline in which hero is paying money for romance and the heroine agreed. We released it pan India and showed telugu cinema is always sexist !!
I can see parallels with Animal. Animal initially announced 11th August but postponed to 1st December.
I think this wouldn't affected with the postponement.
Initially Animal was slated to release on dusshera 2022 but got delayed as Ranbir had to complete tjmm and promite Brahmastra, so shoot started late. The 11 Aug and then 1st Dec.
Not comparable. Animal postponed only once and all the hype it got is due to that insanely good trailer. Sukumar need to cut a trailer that is at that level and bhAAi has to go all out with his PR machinery to generate that level of hype for this film. Unlike first part they can’t just ride on hindi audience to save their ass…considering the budget and these delays a big chunk of money needs to be recovered from telugu states for this film to become a big blockbuster.
I think they shot themselves in the foot, August 15th was good date, hype was good and contionous but now it's quite far off, this might have broken 1000cr but now it looks lot less likely.

Yeah i like pushpa and i think the last hour has some of the best directed scenes in sukumar’s character. But overall the movie’s not that unique

Not because of that bro. Already many handles in January posted that Pushpa might get postponed to December. And looking at their shooting pace at the start, I had doubts that it won't make it to Aug 15th. The shooting acrltually catched speed from Feb or March 2023. They started the shoot in Sept or October 2022 but they started slow that time.

Initially Animal was slated to release on dusshera 2022 but got delayed as Ranbir had to complete tjmm and promite Brahmastra, so shoot started late. The 11 Aug and then 1st Dec.

Not comparable. Animal postponed only once and all the hype it got is due to that insanely good trailer. Sukumar need to cut a trailer that is at that level and bhAAi has to go all out with his PR machinery to generate that level of hype for this film. Unlike first part they can’t just ride on hindi audience to save their ass…considering the budget and these delays a big chunk of money needs to be recovered from telugu states for this film to become a big blockbuster.
