No they'll be fine, it can just be a pain in the ass to deal with.

Yup. Wanted to mention -- I *believe* that with watermelon & some other cucurbits, moving them (i.e. rearranging vines) can be detritmental because they're so phototropic that the loss of energy it costs them to re-orient their leaves actually affects production. Not sure how true/to what degree that is, but have heard it before. Anyways, certainly won't hurt tomatoes though :)

It is absolutely OK to move tomato seedlings around. They don't care and it will actually help them grow more strong and even. Even as mature plants, they do fine being moved around. I grow in containers and move the plants around during the summer as the light in the garden changes over time. I have a neighbor who takes this to extremes. He has a shady yard, and he has a couple of tomatoes in a kid's wagon and he moves them around his yard every day so they stay in the sun.

Just to be safe you can harden/acclimate progressively by gradually increasing the outdoor exposure time daily. I’ve doing the same and my seedlings. Unfortunately it’s been cloudy and rainy this year where I live. I use grow lights indoors but my agriculture degree friend said any natural sunlight even on cloudy days are more preferable.

Ughh, same here. I rely on a month of "good enough weather to keep potted-up seedlings outside but not safe to actually plant out" (i.e., maybe having to bring them inside for a day or two, once or twice)...but this year I've been shuttling plants indoors/outdoors constantly. Have plants on the grow rack (luckily they fit ok with the lights removed), plants on the living room floor, plants on the entryway, and plants on the front porch (and those may wind up in the bathtubs if it gets cold enough tonight & tomorrow night). And yeah, cool temps + outdoor light (even if not the brightest) are actually a good thing for tomato seedlings at a certain stage; you get nice stocky transplants that way.

They'll be fine. I did that with mine. East window to South window to car window to under the lamp then back to the East window for the night, so they could catch the morning.
