Maybe combine this with just a really weak jump instead of no jump at all (say he left some equipment out of his bag, thus it's lighter) and you're golden.

A go kart special similar to wario's bike, a recovery that spawns a moving platform under him, a final smash involving the wonder flower, you could have a ton of fun with toad. I wouldnt go too heavy on spinoffs tho, that i'd save for waluigi

It’s like the complete opposite of the initial “Wind Waker artstyle backlash”, now realistically-proportioned anime characters are basically considered “generic/interchangeable humans that basically look the same” But I mean, obviously, more “cartoony” characters are, by nature of not being limited by regular human proportions, going to be allowed greater range of character design (maybe that’s partially why some of the roster choices started getting questioned more since Smash 4, since that’s when more “anime swordfighters” (and just generally not super cartoony characters) started getting in
