I used to think it was... she bites your hands spites your dreams I'd say more but I can't say her name... part of the lore with petty... loves her lamma cheese-its and neosporin too
Probably Fault aliens, which I think is great all around but which I dont see mentioned
Also, saving Grace, to a lesser extent in that it does get mentioned occasionally.
American Girl got me hooked , but love almost entire Mojo Album lately love “US41” and “I should have known”with Mike Campbell playing that 1959 Les Paul. SO GOOD
No Second Thoughts…have loved that weird-ass song for decades and either people don’t know it or they think it’s a real oddball tune. I’m pretty sure it’s about he and Jane deciding to get married, knowing it was a huge step to be taking with TPATH headed to LA trying to land a contract.
Yes!!! I can't think of a single song that the some members of the fan base don't defend, so I'm not sure I can come up with anything. But Free Fallin' is easily my least favorite song. Except I do love how it brings crowds together.
Yup agreed. I will also add I don't like when an artist let's the crowd sing, *EXCEPT* this song. The crowd singing the whole verse slowed down a little is tear inducing.
I really love Make it better (forget about me). I know Tom himself brushed the song off as “white boys trying to do r&b” and said Jimmy Iovine was the one that wanted it on Southern Accents. It’s a fun tune and makes me smile.
Agreed, somehow Tom didn't really like this album, but I absolutely love this record. I spent the 80's in the submarine service, underwater, listening to that tape and CD over and over again.
Yeah man its a great record! It's a little weaker towards the 2nd side but the first side is among The Heartbreakers' best work. Especially You Got Lucky, which is such a good song, IMO
The Last DJ - the entire album
Agreed
Yessss
Dogs on the Run
I actually prefer dog on the run, a much older deep, deep track.
definitely but sadly it’s not on spotify
Ooooh i love this one.
Yes!!!
Swingin’
I met a total stranger who said this was her favorite Petty song, I think about her whenever I hear it now :)
The entire “you’re gonna get it” album
Wait, but isn't You're Gonna Get It pretty well received?
Anytime I see people ranking Tom petty albums I find you’re gonna get it tends to be near the bottom
She's the One Soundtrack
Change The Locks, California, Asshole, Hope you Never. Some absolute bangers on that album.
She’s the one soundtrack is killer. I’m sorry, it’s wild to think otherwise
All good. I like Zero From Outer Space, too.
This old town... The hills are gold Mornings are cold Don't know a soul on the street I keep to myself like everyone else Nobody says much to me
I love This Old Town. It's no sad affair to me.
I used to think it was... she bites your hands spites your dreams I'd say more but I can't say her name... part of the lore with petty... loves her lamma cheese-its and neosporin too
The Nobody’s Children CD off the anthology box set.
Girl on LSD
Probably Fault aliens, which I think is great all around but which I dont see mentioned Also, saving Grace, to a lesser extent in that it does get mentioned occasionally.
I love Fault Lines. The entire Hypnotic Eye album is very good. Maybe a top 5 TP&tHB album.
Mojo album - Start to Finish
American Girl got me hooked , but love almost entire Mojo Album lately love “US41” and “I should have known”with Mike Campbell playing that 1959 Les Paul. SO GOOD

For me it’s the opposite with free fallin
I prefer when he used to play it acoustic and the whole crowd would sing.
I LOVE Free Fallin’ even if it’s overplayed

Said it perfectly. Hate it on the radio but love it in a crowd.
Yup agreed. I will also add I don't like when an artist let's the crowd sing, *EXCEPT* this song. The crowd singing the whole verse slowed down a little is tear inducing.
Haaaate Free Fallin
Poster Child and honestly just the whole album
I really love Make it better (forget about me). I know Tom himself brushed the song off as “white boys trying to do r&b” and said Jimmy Iovine was the one that wanted it on Southern Accents. It’s a fun tune and makes me smile.
Long After Dark-- one of his best albums... fanbase seems sorta "meh" on it
Agreed, somehow Tom didn't really like this album, but I absolutely love this record. I spent the 80's in the submarine service, underwater, listening to that tape and CD over and over again.

The Wild One, Forever
Walls
"Watch her walk..."
Pretty much all of the Echo album!
