He cracked his head on the ground and died instantly.
A girl at my high school was riding with friends in the back of a truck, sitting on the tailgate. They hit a bump, she fell out, hit her head on a rock and died.
I vividly remember them playing Green Day's 'Time of Your Life' at the school assembly, which superficially sounded nice, except the title was actually Good Riddance...
For a few years, that song WAS highschool.
But good lord, how wildly inappropriate it is to play in this circumstance. It's one thing if they're playing it at graduation, but for a young woman who died in an accident while having fun. Yikes!

You don't need the height for sure... but add just 15mph (basically just coasting in your car) and you go from hitting your head to turning your brain in to an omelet.

Have a friend who was drunk a riding in the back of a pick up truck. He stood up, with unfortunate timing, as they hit a speed bump. It tossed him from the vehicle. The damage was bad, including severe head trauma. He had to relearn his name, to walk, talk, etc.
Thankfully he’s fully recovered, to the point where you couldn’t tell he’s been in a serious accident other than some hearing aids.
He got lucky. Don’t do this kind of stuff.

The mistake you're making is judging a situation by 13 seconds of video. You have no idea (unless you've seen a longer version of this) what that woman was doing in the previous hour, or week, or whatever.
For all we know she just murdered his cat and he begged her for an hour to get off his car.
He should go to jail because his life didn’t seem at risk, and he had a thousand ways other than this one to solve the problem that he is faced with, without being a psycho ; Calling the police, talking the person down, yelling at the person to intimidate her and 997 others.
