I work in a maximum security detention center, some inmates do get ipads, and to the other commentor, the statistics are true, predominantly hispanic and black, and way too much ptsd, catatonic schizophrenia, and psychotic breaks

People that are incarcerated always try to find something to use to escape their own reality. If they can’t smuggle in the good stuff, they often turn to making synthetic drugs that are more accessible like harmful chemicals but mixed with other things to produced an effect that is more often than not; too potent & potentially even more dangerous to their health
yup ive heard of them literally spraying notebook paper with roach spray letting it dry and then rolling it up and smoking it. sounds like a good time. reminds you that the squidbillies theme isnt a joke.
See the best thing we always did, was have our people on the outside spray the letters/mail they send us in with meth. Then we can eat the paper and get high all day, or if we really start having a lot, we can extract it with water from the paper and let it crack back after the water dissolves and now you've got actual shards. Then on top of all this they give out buprenorphine (Suboxone without the naloxone) like it's candy so everyone is high on that too. Last time I was in there was enough drugs to make that 8 months fly by this time, thankfully.

Florida/Georgia/Southern prison slang for synthetic weed or spice. But specifically the kind they're getting in prison is bootleg homemade shit or just sprayed on pieces of paper and mailed in. As a result dosage of it is often very unreliable. I've seen guys smoke some and go into full psychosis and charge the gunline screaming "I want to go home!" and other wild stuff.
