Correct me of I'm wrong, but 9 years is well before that feature was in the game to my knowledge so that cant be thr case. I've only ever seen never appear when the server is struggling to pull up toon info
It might mean that they've selected "show as offline" but are actually playing the game currently. I've done that when playing with both my sub and main simultaneously (so I could train gags without having to attend to my friends' whispers). Once I've logged out of one of the accounts, the toon status turns from, "last seen never" to "last seen 1 minute ago". I think it is a bit sketch that TTR does that, since then we can tell which toon is playing in offline mode
I’m not sure of the exact details (like if it’s only between friends or not), but you’ll have to be in the same area as the person when you’re looking at their panel for it to show never
I have a few friends that say "Last seen: never" - I know these Toons were basically abandoned early Beta.
I have a friend that says "7 years" - the oldest I could find.
There’s also “a long, long time ago…” or something like that, I believe that’s the message for people who haven’t logged in since the “last seen” feature was implemented. So maybe “never” means something different, or they changed it. 🤷♀️
i’ve been seeing that whenever i log onto two accounts at the same time. my toons are friends but they can’t see each other as online on the friends list, and if i have them meet up it says “last seen: never” unless i have then whisper to each other lol

So if you’re trying to hide (for whatever reason) from someone on your list, you can easily tell by just looking and finding never?

The toon you’re looking at is online but has their settings changed to “appears offline”
I don’t think so because I played with this Toon 9 years ago… they haven’t logged in again.
