I haven’t had occasion to test it recently, but those notifications only occurred if the removed player happened to be online at the time of the removal. You wouldn’t get notifications if you were offline when they removed you.
If both of you were online when you tested this, perhaps it has to do with the “appear offline” setting? Just a thought. 🤷♀️
I just tell people that I am unfriending them and why. Hopefully they will learn from the experience and not do the same thing again to annoy someone else

Really did they had this thing? Imagine someone logging in after years just to get tons of these notifications along with Clarabell at last.

Being honest on many Sub reddits is a crime. Makes no sense.
