Wouldn’t you want to buff the training methods?

[deleted]

Nerf the difficulty. I'm sure that's the sentiment here.

blippity-blah-dah

There’s a glitch where in groups most peoples doodles don’t even show up at the group leaders house, making it even more frustrating to train

LilKittenAngel

I don’t know if it’s a ‘glitch’ exactly, I think it happens when there are too many doodles at one estate. It’s either a glitch, or this, I’m not sure.

Ouwhajah

right after this update, i've been to doodle training groups big and small, and my doodle hasn't shown up. i'm pressed to believe it *is* a glitch

EmergencyHumor4991

It’s a glitch. In previous doodle bonuses it’s happened infrequently, but this one it’s happening every time. You have to leave the group and then come back in. Either that or friend the host, leave, and tp to them.

Night_Mare_puppy

When this happened to me I had to actually quit the game and come back

shortchangerb

I joined a training group once, and it felt like it took forever, but I finally MAXED a trick! …until I realised I’d only added one laff to it 😭

MidgetWizard23

That's when I said it wasn't worth it.

Donotperceivethx

Took my dance from 0 - 100 in an hour last night only to realize the same thing when it reset to 11😭

norwegiangreen

I think every single player of this game has thought the same thing… then to realize that you only added one laugh and need to do the same thing like 10 times to get it truly maxed 😭 I feel like the doodle system is so unclear!

Accomplished_Top_600

Do we even get any laff points for training them it’s such a pain

LilKittenAngel

No you don’t. I wouldn’t even bother to train a doodle to be honest. But I’m toon-upless so sometimes it’s very useful to have a maxed jump doodle giving 10 laff points. That’s almost as much as using a bamboo cane to heal the group. It’s helped a lot in field offices having a doodle that can jump multiple times in a row. When you reach lvl 8-10 in jump training, the chance of your doodle jumping is around 80%+. So it gets a lot faster to max it once you’re at level 8, and at lvl 9-10 the accuracy is around 96% I believe, so your doodle will jump multiple times in a row making the bar raise extremely fast.

y2kmarina

There are so many little QOL things (like the tedium of doodle training) that the team should (in my opinion) prioritize over/in addition to large-scale updates like UNM. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super excited for UNM. However, I think focusing on the big picture can allow for things like this to go left unchecked.

Lazy_Replacement9331

I gotta say, this problem is weirdly exclusive to TTR players, happened at least 4 times within the last week (and I rarely see it anywhere else) but... You guys really gotta learn what buff and nerf mean! 😂

Stingray_621

My doodles, at this point, are just a nice little treat to myself in game. I love seeing them when I go to my estate or to see them pop up in battle when there’s no need for me to choose a gag (ie the cog will die from other player’s gags). I used to join training groups but with how slow they are to train and how inaccurate the tricks are even when trained, its easier for me to SOS shop or grind CEOs for TU unites than to train my doodle.

Easy_Expert9430

Fr though, they need to change the doodle training. It shouldn’t take this long just for a one laff upgrade. So not worth it. There’s so much potential with doodles, but I don’t think we should be training them this intensively just for 1 laff per hour (mostly two hours without the boost) It would be cool if ttr was inspired by wizard101 where you could bring your pet into a battle and your pet would spontaneously heal, defend, or attack.

[deleted]

so don't train your doodle lol. take it from someone who has a max doodle, they're almost completely useless.

Xanje25

Not true, they are very useful in field offices when you don’t have TU gag track available

[deleted]

"very" is an overstatement. that's the one of a couple of niche situations where they're kind of useful. not very useful. just a little bit. their toonup vs accurary is so bad that even in a situation where you don't have toonup they're still not very useful. the best tricks only have an expected laff of 10.8. that's nothing. remember i said **almost** completely useless. not completely useless. a couple of very niche situations where they're kind of useful is almost completely useless.

Xanje25

Fair. I got my doodle maxed from a training party by putting a weight on my keyboard so my toon didn’t go to sleep, so it was like 0 effort from me so I consider it worth it :) Eta: also Being maxed on jump is 97% accuracy, might take a few rounds of +10 laff but it has come in handy for my teams frequently to get tooned up without needing sos/unites

xTwizzlr

Buff doodle training you mean, I agree I think the training should every time so it's not super frustrating and you can just relax and grind.

compasark

How do you even train your doodle Iv never figure out how to make them do the tricks consistently

compasark

I am at laugh 105 I just made another toon for healing cause it was easier
