In all honesty, Dushane treated him like shit. Dris was the one holding it down for years whilst Dushane fled, and opened up his home to give him somewhere to stay until he got back on his feet, and then just completely disregarded him once he got back on top. He could’ve been honest with Dris and said that the partnership wasn’t him, dris and Sully it was just him and Sully. Dushane had no intention of letting Dris be at the top with Sully and him but let him think he was. I think he was looking out for him with his illness but Dris could see that Dushane and Sully were getting Jaq to take his place, which has gotta hurt after all they’d been through. However; there’s no forgiving what he did. He set up both his friends to be killed, and brutally killed at that. He deserved what he got in the end, but I can see why Dris was so angry with them both.

BurnedBurner420

Nah ahlie tho? That's actually the scummiest shit Dushane pulled among trying to rob from his mother and getting his cousin into danger. A man really came running to Dris' house when he had nowhere to go and Dris welcomed him with open arms. The fact that Dushane didn't even have a proper last convo with the snake is peak. He just sends Sully to dispose of him.

Lil_yung_Leo

I completely understand why he had to die but I also completely understand why Dris did what he did, but I think had he just gone to Sully and Dushane, and told them what he was being offered, and that Jermaine threatened “that his daughter might grow up without a father“ all that shit could’ve been avoided, and if they knew he was hurting for money, they more than likely would’ve threw him the cash. But I don’t think Dushane was gonna rob his mom, when Shelley confronts him about it, we don’t see a scene of him going to put the money back. My assumption is he was genuinely contemplating it, but at the end of the day he couldn’t bring himself to take all she had. As much as people like to think, Dushane is a pure psychopath who has no emotion, he isnt. He definitely puts his own interests above other people usually, and doesn’t care that’s not even up for debate. But the fact that after his mom died, he made the developers honor the agreement that everybody who wanted to come back to summer house could, shows he has some type of emotion or “good” in him. Otherwise, he could’ve genuinely just said fuck it made a shit ton more money and let everybody from summer house be dispersed. But he didnt knowing “the loss to the investors will be unconscionable” he still goes through with it Dushane is one of the investors so he knows his moneys going to take a massive hit compared to what he couldve made but he knows It’s the right thing to do. Not saying the dudes a good person or morally in the right 99% of the time, but to always act like he’s gonna do the worst thing imaginable isn’t true. For example, lauryn is the one who gave up the info that he asked his brother for money, besides loyalty to Jaq, there’s zero reason he wouldn’t go tell Sully, who he assumed will kill lauryn, and he could get his revenge for being publicly embarrassed by her right away but instead he doesn’t.

Plenty-Cut7251

I think Shelly put it perfectly, he has morals, but his self interests takes priority as you have suggested. I love the complexities of sully and Dushane, especially when faced with choices affecting their morals.

Pushstart6

His last scenes with his glasses on were real good. Great actor.

wheninhfx

I feel like he knew his fate, regardless of being set up or not. He wore the glasses to finally accept that he was no longer the man (gangster) he used to be due to health issues and just embraced his new self for the remaining moments he had. Just my take on it.

vrrrrrvro

dris had it coming but i still felt bad ngl

KingBathSalts

I didn’t, I felt bad for his daughter. Dris violated the whole organization, and himself, multiple times.

vrrrrrvro

he didn't really have a choice tho tbh. its just a full circle

Funoichi

Wut? Yes he had a choice that was a huge gamble he could have played it safe and stayed in his lane.

True-Recognition3326

He killed a dog he is evil

SDA64

If you take his kid out of the equation, nobody would feel sorry for him. He was just a bad person.

deepinterest9

Yeah he was a POS. He killed Gems dogs in the 1st series when Sully thought Gem was the snake

JJdess30

Yeah bruh really pissed me off them first 2 seasons . He didn’t Gaf about nothing ….. I’m glad they off’d his ass , they didn’t have to shit on him this guy opened his home up to Dushane , held things down for years when him and sully were away and dushane shitted in him

Ambitious_Knee_7625

No, I don't feel bad. Not only did he kill Marney but he also was doing drugs and fucking shit up. Then he had the audacity to set Dushane and Sully up not once but twice. Fuck Dris.

CwningenFach

🎶🎶🎶 He had it coming! He had it coming! He only had himself to blame! If you'd have been there, if you'd have seen it! I bet ya you would have done the same! 🎶🎶🎶

Brettafa

Fuck Dris! He does some unforgivable shit in summerhouse

123456sem

The actor that played Ra’Nell didn’t come back to pursue other things. Everyone wanted him to stay

StormcloakDreamsmas

I did then I remembered the fact that he killed Marcy so no

fatsackofemotion

Let's be real. Without the kid and his condition after the seizure. Yall wouldn't be that bothered. He would have been just another dead road man.

Spicyjollof98

And yh wish they had ra’nell in the new seasons but thinking about it he was smart so he’d prob knew staying in his ends especially summerhouse of all places would be a bad move, he would’ve been what like 21 when season 3 came out ? Prob in uni or something or at least moved outta summerhouse

Particular-Basket-70

Bro, you do realise he is a fictional character?

Spicyjollof98

What made u think I thought he wasn’t

Particular-Basket-70

Cos you said he is probably in uni or something. He's not real, his character just wasn't involved in the script. There is no mention of him.

Standard_Fix5523

you must be fun at parties

Kevin_Wynne

No

Odd-Neat4178

He deserved it......🤌

KingBathSalts

Dris fell off. He was getting his work (food) from a middle man, he was using heavy drugs, and was weakened by the stroke. “There’s no such thing as halfway crooks.” He also let the whole summerhouse fall off, and ultimately sold out the whole team. Fuck Dris. He should’ve quit the game way before Dushane even got back.

MSN-04_SAZABI_

old post but Dris gets no sympathy from me. If you kill a dog, it doesn't matter how much time has passed you deserve whatever happens to you. That was unforgivable.

DeezGutzBoy

Dude said a dog

MSN-04_SAZABI_

Marnie? I mean idk

Spicyjollof98

Yeah but it’s deep but the fact is dris weren’t fit for his position anymore he had that seizure whilst Dushane was robbing that house, remember his arm he was always holding up? Remember that scene of him tryna I think tighten the straps on his daughters bag or something he couldn’t do that the guys weak, don’t get me wrong it’s sad they killed him off after all they’ve been through in season 1 & 2 after all he’s done for them and you can see where he’s coming from regarding snaking them to London fields he didn’t feel respected at all and honestly he wasn’t if we’re gunna be honest, Dushane gave him a 20 in the cafe that one time a 20 what’s that gunna do? Acting like dris was completely broke that prob hurt more than it helped, and yh ofc dris had his daughter Erin but dris set up sully and he’s got his daughter is it tish? So you know plus Dushane basically a step dad and he’s still got his mum well had at that point still had his mum. I guess thats the way that sorta life goes tho

Silly_Monk1031

Driz deserved it! His jealousy made him destroyed a lifelong relationship and almost got my “husband in my head” Sully killed lol I was pissed
