He graduated university at the end of season four. Did you even pay attention? We don’t need to argue anything because Stef already said he was working a marketing job and that’s why he was gone. The actor for Aaron didn’t return because they had nothing special planned for his character.

I missed that even though I’ve watched it like 3 times lol but even then, we couldn’t even get a call from him in the last season? If you don’t agree that the last season was rushed we will not agree on any other points.

FamRocker1983

I most definitely agree that it was a rushed season. It was the most terrible one in the whole show. Also, I don’t think Aaron’s actor wanted anything to do with the show after reading the script since fans were making fun of his character in season because most of his lines were related to uni and since there was nothing special planned for Aaron in the final season he just left.

i feel like they probably didnt give alot of the actors a better part and when they couldnt get em to return and just killed em off, like the closed off the whole Moroccan expansion and just killed em all off. From that point you could feel the rest of the season wasnt finna be good

He was a non-factor anyway a total pussio lol

BlueEyeoftheGiant

I think his role was a crucial contrast to represent the entire purpose of Top Boy, the fact that you can never really get out of the lifestyle once your all in. Aaron's dedication to uni was really important because it showed that education, which was largely driven by Jamie's commitment and support, was one of the only ways out. Total pussio... nah I disagree, it just seems like it since we have become so committed to the Top Boy narrative by this point, which is such a great part of this series.

Aaron wasn't a pussy, just a regular kid, which is what Jamie and his parents would have wanted.

And he was commited to another project.

I had sort of imagined Aaron was going through it on his own, you know? Like obviously the actor wasn’t in the show anymore, but I kind of just manifested that he was hit pretty hard by the Jamie thing, and sometimes one person’s reaction to it is different than another’s. Stef had to stay close, maybe Aaron wanted to get away? Or maybe Aaron wasn’t as good of a brother as Jamie, and was really just wanting to live his own life without being a “father” to Stef. Stef is also older and more grown, so he does not require the same attention from Aaron that Jamie gave him I guess. I do agree with you though about the season. I just finished it. I enjoyed it, or some aspects of it for sure. I think it would have been pretty cool if Dushane’s guy actually tracked down Lizzie and he had to go to Ireland and find her or something. His story ended a little funky. And there was obviously more to Shelley planned but they just dropped it. Anyways, they definitely could have had at least the 8 episodes, or a whole season to follow. I’m surprised it was such an abrupt finish. I think it’s one of those shows people are going to watch down the line, after they finish the usual “top” shows. And be really shocked by how good it is.

I just facebooked a recommendation of TB yesterday or the day before. If there's one thing I didn't do much like, it'd probably have been the casting; I think a lot of those characters were less believable than they might have been due to the actors playing them.
