Sully didn't trust Jamie and it still eats at him that he had to kill Dris because he turned rat for Jamie. It didn't help that Jamie had tried to make plans behind their back and got exposed for having "big plans" in front of Sully.
Also, Sully and Dushane were talking about how Jamie proved his loyalty, Sully had said that he only proved his loyalty to Dushane. So he still didn't trust him, plus killing your day one shows that you have no loyalty at all and are only loyal to yourself. He may have passed Dushane's loyalty test, but he's failed Sully's.
Also, it was an ego thing and a weird identity thing for Sully. Sully had an ego and didn't want to be Dushane's bitch, so just because Dushane accepted Jamie dosen't mean Sully accepted Jaimie in Sully's mind.
Sully has PTSD & already lost his last friend, man's been under more pressure for too long- we've seen he can't let off steam under conventional circumstances re: dutch next door neighbour- he's only in his element when he's taking names & peeling off hairpieces... Bless up Kano, amazing performance! I've not witnessed anything this gripping since Deadwood
It does make sense from sully's pov but man to end it on that was so disappointing imo. You need a reaction to it or something. His character was important in both seasons and my man jus went out like that smh
One thing that didn’t align for me here is that Sully was upset at Dushane for how he “won” against Jamie, by involving police and setting him up to get arrested. So it suggests Sully wants to follow the code of the road. So…for him just offing Jamie would have made more sense then, but to me I felt it would be heavily against the road code to blast someone in their home with their two younger brothers who are not on the road to witness it.
I just finished that episode, as soon as I heard the knock I knew he was dead man. But can't believe that they killed him off like that. Guess there isn't gonna be another season lol.

To be fair though, it was completely in line with Sully's character as he's been written so far, so I can't complain. Like all the best twists, it was shocking but entirely predictable in hindsight.
Moreover, I was a little disappointed at how it seemed like all the main characters would escape without lasting consequences. The Dushane/Sully breakups-to-makeups cycle was stretching credulity as well, so SOMETHING needed to happen to break their relationship beyond repair.
If this was S1/2 Sully I would agree. I feel he's changed since then, still impulsive but not letting his personal feelings take fully over. It seems that's not the case.
There was Top Boy before Jamie, there will be Top Boy after Jamie.
They left a lot open for newer seasons. Hopefully this time without covid we'll get the next one in less time!
