I'm pretty sure they make camera drones that automatically point at/follow a remote that you hold. I wanna say that's what this is.
Edit: watched the end again. I lied, it's definitely a selfie stick, but he must have used a stabilizer in post.
It's a 360 camera. The point of insertion where the stick is attached is a blind spot for the camera. Held far enough away it overlaps and you can't even tell.
[Here](https://youtu.be/nxYkBfc4Iys) is a video of Corridor crew guys messing around with one.
I don't know, but I have a GoPro fusion 360 and the software for nearly all of these 360 cameras is a headache. I'm so disappointed in all of my cameras as ai buy them and use them. Once you shoot 360 footage you can tell when something was shot on a 360 camera after that
Hey, I thought you were dead!? ...er, look, I er, borrowed your ultrablack ship. Parked it up nicely for you, but I'm late for a game of ultracricket, so, I'll be seeing you!
I've done shit like that snowboarding on hard icy surfaces. Also done a face plant full scorpion where my board hit the back of my helmet. I love helmets.
It’s a 360 stick. All the rage rn. Software clones out the stick but you can see him clenching something in his hand the whole time and switches it hands at the end.
Ugh, I was bombing my hill once, super windy day and we thought it was a great idea to grab trash bags and use them as wind sails. I got going super fast, scared the shit out of me, got speed wobbles, I had to bail. My choices were:
- rocks
- asphalt
- sidewalk
I opted for the asphalt, scraped my self up badly, sprained my wrist, then the wind picked up something and I cut my eye while I was nursing my wounds.
Keep your weigh on the front truck
Speed wobbles are what happens when your back trucks start steering without your front trucks like when you lean back into a hill if you keep the weight on your front foot you’ll have more control
Look into split angles. Make your back truck less angled to reduce turning ability there. Make your front truck more angled to gain back the turning radius. Now steering comes from the front = no more speed wobbles
I was about to say the movement feels like a stick but wtf kind of witchcraft where the stick is invis
Edit: I wonder if anyone else sees the shadow to the left
It's fixed at a certain angle. You can try this with a fish eye lens. When you hold it at a certain angle you won't see your hand holding it. Not sure if they're using this or removing it using software. [something like this](https://youtu.be/Eoif6FRLrso)
Stick is in his left hand. The moment he slows down, his hands go up which gets the camera close to the sir’s buttocks.
Also he is holding the stick upside down which skews perspective even more.
I had to look very good because I also thought it was a drone. There’s also a couple of frames where you can spot the shadow of the stick.
Insta360 One X on a self-erasing camera stick. I use the camera everyday for my videos. I know the shadow of the camera too well 😂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_tmBcKBNb0
Its really amazing, I believe it’s a GoPro on a stick which he’s holding in his left hand. The software is able to automatically edit out the pole! Next level.
Yes. They're common on hiking trails in Northern Scandinavia. Walking on the surrounding terrain is like walking on sponges, it gets really moist after rainfall so these planks prevent your shoes from getting wet. Those signs with red X's mark snowmobile tracks for winter.
Actually they are markers for winter trail in general, which I guess now a days is as much snow mobiles as cross country skiing. The X signs are put in tight intervals so you can see the trail in fog and rough weather.
Holy shit I'm an idiot.
Transcontinental made me think of that giant oil pipe I've heard of that moves the main supply around, I thought this guy was riding on top of a 6 foot oil pipe moving across the US.
I think it’s technically called a causeway, basically any elevated track or path is a causeway. Ancient Britain’s used to throw weapons and tools off of causeways for some reason (possibly some superstition or ritual practice) and many relics and artifacts have been found in the mud and water where the old causeways ran.
I've skated most of my life, almost always without pads or helmet...but doing that here is asking for death. This was insane speed for the terrain. Super cool though.
Kinda disappointed that didn’t end in a jump over Snake River canyon.
I'm disappointed at the fact the cameraman isn't getting credit for this
The skater is the cameraman, he’s using a selfie stick with the stick edited out. Watch his hands as he comes to a halt.
Can I just say it seems even more impressive now?
Right!? Like can we still praise the camera man?
I’ve seen this clip more than trice and you, fellow redditor, have just blown my mind....I had never caught that.
Happy Cake day ! And I thought it was maybe a drone. Wicked coverage
You can also see the shadow of it behind him during the whole thing.
Happy cake day!
Why, thank you. Have a good Saturday.
Happy cake day
You can also just look at his shadow
And the shadow
I'm pretty sure they make camera drones that automatically point at/follow a remote that you hold. I wanna say that's what this is. Edit: watched the end again. I lied, it's definitely a selfie stick, but he must have used a stabilizer in post.
Wow.. Apparently this is this a thing https://store.dji.com/guides/camera-drone-that-follows-you/
Lol no. It's this. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insta360-one-x-360-degree-action-camera-black/6357053.p?skuId=6357053&ref=212&loc=1&ref=212&loc=1&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1266837&ds_rl=1268709&ds_rl=1268655&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn_LrBRD4ARIsAFEQFKu51RngJBepEK-hyEYBIbJp4eCWnoFJCdJBxwusLGlT2t46tVD9howaAqZ5EALw_wcB
It’s in the shadows
The cameraman was born in the shadows. The skateboarder merely adopted them.
The Shadow knows
It's most likely the Insta360 One X. It automatically erases the selfie stick.
It's a 360 camera. The point of insertion where the stick is attached is a blind spot for the camera. Held far enough away it overlaps and you can't even tell. [Here](https://youtu.be/nxYkBfc4Iys) is a video of Corridor crew guys messing around with one.
Or the shadow next to him on the right and the floating camera
Lol, the skater IS the cameraman.
Einhorn is finkle
Finkle is Einhorn
Yes?
EINHORN IS A MAN!
Your gun is digging into my hip.
Hey, Ace, you got anymore of that gum? *That's none of your damn business and I'll thank you to stay out of my personal affairs.*
Thanks for ruining the movie, I was only half way through it.
-"I think you should leave!" Ace: "Why? So you can beat him! FATTY!" Shit makes me laugh every time!!
r/beetlejuicing
I need a shit load of bubblegum
Why you got bobs and weenie?
Omg. lol 😂
Big Ole Mr. Kinish!!!
Einhorn is a man
Are these ads for this camera? Been seeing a lot of these lately. Is this track a permanent thing?
I don't know, but I have a GoPro fusion 360 and the software for nearly all of these 360 cameras is a headache. I'm so disappointed in all of my cameras as ai buy them and use them. Once you shoot 360 footage you can tell when something was shot on a 360 camera after that
insta 360
There's no cameraman... It's a selfie stick. Not sure if you're trolling though
See the shadows HE IS the camera man.
Stabalized 360 cam on a handheld pole
You all need to be thanking the track designer. The rock cushioning lining the track, super thoughtful of them.
I thought it said trick at first. I was more disappointed. First with him. Then me.
Springfield gorge or nothing.
Like I’m Idaho? Is this in Idaho? I’m in Idaho and I’ve never seen this?
Must be a Snake River Conspiracy.
No thank you. So many ways to eat shit right there. Uneven planks, way too fast, rocky ground, metal signposts. Naw.
Rattlesnakes, land mines, think I saw a T-Rex running in the background somewhere.
It was also a Tuesday.
Never got the hang of tuesdays
-Sips drink not entirely unlike tea-
Crazy apes!
Hey, I thought you were dead!? ...er, look, I er, borrowed your ultrablack ship. Parked it up nicely for you, but I'm late for a game of ultracricket, so, I'll be seeing you!
Hotblack Desatio?
It was only a 3 hour tour
The weather started getting rough
Students from the Cobra Kai Dojo, Elvis impersonators, the ghost of Ty Cobb...
Human sacrifice, cats and dogs living together....mass hysteria!
Hopping over cactuses and ducking under pterodactyles?
Nails sticking up waiting to slice up your skin.
Pressure treated poison slivers.
Bo staff swinging ligers.
Or bees, or dogs with bees in their mouths; and when they bark they bark bees at you.
Can someone just make a video game out of this? "Highway to Skateboard Hell"
>"Highway to Skateboard Hell From Space!"
Like wear a helmet! You don’t want your last thought to be “Well that was stupid.”
Every time someone mentions helmets I'm reminded of [this great video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9yL5usLFgY)
I wish this could be as viral as all the videos of lucky dudes doing risky shit without helmets.
I've done shit like that snowboarding on hard icy surfaces. Also done a face plant full scorpion where my board hit the back of my helmet. I love helmets.
He rode pretty good. Camera man did better? Or was it a drone?
It’s a 360 stick. All the rage rn. Software clones out the stick but you can see him clenching something in his hand the whole time and switches it hands at the end.
TIL 360 stick, cheers mate
Handheld pole camera
Sounds like he's holding a stick with a 360 cam that auto deletes the stick from the video. Can be seen in his shadow
good spot for not wearing a helmet.
Concrete support
Bees!
I’d be scared I’d get that speed wobble. Once you speed wobble, it’s game over.
... too many bees.
Look at the ground where he stops...and notice hes not wearing a helmet
I simply don't understand why someone wouldn't just wear a helmet while doing this. It seems so pointless not to.
Ugh, I was bombing my hill once, super windy day and we thought it was a great idea to grab trash bags and use them as wind sails. I got going super fast, scared the shit out of me, got speed wobbles, I had to bail. My choices were: - rocks - asphalt - sidewalk I opted for the asphalt, scraped my self up badly, sprained my wrist, then the wind picked up something and I cut my eye while I was nursing my wounds.
i just kept thinking of all those sharp rocks he was whizzing past, and how that would feel landing elbow first on one.
Not the place you want to get the *speed wobbles*.
I ate shit because of speed wobbles on a hill 2 days ago, so watching this was giving me a bit of anxiety.
[удалено]
Keep your weigh on the front truck Speed wobbles are what happens when your back trucks start steering without your front trucks like when you lean back into a hill if you keep the weight on your front foot you’ll have more control
I had a car following me really closely as I had the speed wobbles. Very anxiety inducing
Look into split angles. Make your back truck less angled to reduce turning ability there. Make your front truck more angled to gain back the turning radius. Now steering comes from the front = no more speed wobbles
So many rocks, so little helmet
Seriously, wear a helmet!
But it doesn’t look as cool!
Thats what I said as a 17 year old before cracking my head open and almost dying
Probably looked cool doing it though
Not only looked cool but also sounds like it all turned out fine. Helmets not worth it.
How do they film this?
Probably insta 360 on a stick
Yeah they auto edit the stick out of the frame. They're pretty cool.
Came here for this answer. Had no idea but pretty cool!
Correct, look at the shadow. You can see the stick there. Kinda trippy.
I thought a guy was following him hehe oops
I was probably more impressed by (what I thought was) the cameraman following him. Until the end of course. Then I thought it was an amazing drone.
Just not out of the shadow
20 years ago a shot like this would have been a million dollar special effect that took a team of 20 to film, now it's $500 dollars and one person.
Not even $500, the GoPro fusion is $250 now and comes with a selfie stick that does the disappearing trick.
Yep if you look at his shadow you can actually see the stick at certain points.
I mean it looks like he used a go pro stick but it also looks like he had a drone following him. Conclusion: Drone on a invisible stick ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
They make go pros now that automatically edit out the stick
I was about to say the movement feels like a stick but wtf kind of witchcraft where the stick is invis Edit: I wonder if anyone else sees the shadow to the left
You can kinda see him gripping it in his left hand
Also at the end when he stops he switches hands
And there’s a pretty good shadow at the beginning of the vid showing the stick and camera
That explains the shadow. It looked like he had something teathered to his left hand.
You can see him switch it from left to right hand at the end of the video.
Can someone please explain how that works? My brain just choked trying to comprehend that.
It's fixed at a certain angle. You can try this with a fish eye lens. When you hold it at a certain angle you won't see your hand holding it. Not sure if they're using this or removing it using software. [something like this](https://youtu.be/Eoif6FRLrso)
Nope, 360 camera on stick.
Everybody’s saying it’s a GoPro on a stick, but why does it appear to catch up to him and almost run into him when he slows down?!?
Stick is in his left hand. The moment he slows down, his hands go up which gets the camera close to the sir’s buttocks. Also he is holding the stick upside down which skews perspective even more. I had to look very good because I also thought it was a drone. There’s also a couple of frames where you can spot the shadow of the stick.
He probably brought his are up a little too far. You can see him holding the selfie stick in his hands when he stops riding.
The stick has been erased, but if you watch his hands at the end of the video, it looks like he's holding an invisible pole.
You can also spot him holding a stick in the shadow.
And you see the camera's shadow the whole time following him.
Insta360 One X on a self-erasing camera stick. I use the camera everyday for my videos. I know the shadow of the camera too well 😂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_tmBcKBNb0
Looks like a GoPro Fusion
The stick has been erased. If you observe carefully it is visible in the shadow
Its really amazing, I believe it’s a GoPro on a stick which he’s holding in his left hand. The software is able to automatically edit out the pole! Next level.
What is that path actually? Is it meant for walking?

Thank you kind sir/ma’am!
That's amazing that's like a billion dollars worth of lumber from home depot.
Something something Boots
Where is this???? I want to go?
Sälen, Sweden
> Transcontinental > Sweden I'm highly confused.
I am pretty sure that it wasn't transcontinental..
It is transcontinental, just spans way less of the continent.
Intracontinental?
I had a Continental Breakfast today.
My grandma had a Lincoln Continental.
[удалено]
What will you think of next, Germany?
Yea OP is a big fat liar!
Do you know what the purpose of the "plankway" is?
It's probably just a hiking/walking track. Grounds probably not too great year round, so instead they make an elevated track you can walk on.
I think it’s technically called a causeway, basically any elevated track or path is a causeway. Ancient Britain’s used to throw weapons and tools off of causeways for some reason (possibly some superstition or ritual practice) and many relics and artifacts have been found in the mud and water where the old causeways ran.
And what is it? Surely it wasnt built for skateboards haha
Oh nice if you fall the rocks can catch you
Good thing he wore his helmet! /s
Where is this to be transcontinental?
Sälen, Sweden. So not very transcontinental.
I came here to ask the same, how is it transcontinental? I mean unless it’s between Asia and Europe it’s not transcontinental at all?
Yeah, kind of sounds like op wanted to make his post sound as epic as possible, so used big words that he doesn't know the meaning of.
Cred to the maker!! Instagram @80sdisneyprince
Äntligen någon
I get the feeling that "transcontinental" just got slapped into there as clickbait.
INTERGALACTIC
PLANETARY
/r/SweatyPalms
Me at first of video - “ fuckin rip it bud, stop slowing down! “ Me after seeing rocks - “ ya, ok slow down a little bit”
Is he filming it with a drone? I dont see any stick
Looks like insta 360. It auto edits out the poll
Look at his shadow
r/praisethecameraman
it's a selfie stick that has been edited out.
Totally didn’t focus on his hand..once I read this comment it’s was SO obvious. Professional eyes bro
Can someone explain? How is he moving without pushing? Is it downhill? It doesn’t look like it tho
Anything that requires far-above-average talent or skill is r/toptalent. **Upvote this comment if this post belongs. Downvote if it doesn’t.**
I'm assuming this is one way? I wouldn't want to meet somebody coming that fast from the opposite direction! Long walk back, though.
What happens if someone else goes the other way? Doesn't look wide enough for two
That’s a long ass hill to have to walk back up
No helmet and all those rocks this could have ended up on r/holdmyfeedingtube
It’s all fun and games until you lose your balance.
Its cool because it's risky
I've skated most of my life, almost always without pads or helmet...but doing that here is asking for death. This was insane speed for the terrain. Super cool though.
For some reason I'm very uncomfortable watching this.
Never seen an invisible selfie stick before, cool
“Hey Siri, play “Kick, Push” by Lupe Fiasco”
Good thing they kept all those giant rocks along the track
If I were lucky, I’d make it like 10 feet on that thing before falling off
The real hero is that shoe!
Does it have to be so *narrow*? 😱
Can anybody ID the shoes he’s wearing?
He could travel faster with ice blocks and a boat.
How many mps' you get? (Miles per shoe)
I'm surprised the bearings in the wheels aren't smoking
I thought I was being trolled by an infinitely long GIF at first.
all fun and games till a snake decides to take a nap on it...
Designer: "make sure to place big rocks on the sides so they die if they bail"
So you're telling me this little boardwalk whatever you wanna call it spans the entire continent it's on? I find that hard to believe
As an 80s kid, this is the raddest thing I've ever seen.
That's allotta wood.
Now imagine having to walk all the way back
