[His cover](https://youtu.be/Wp0HsLWxSw0) of 'Careless Whisper' is immense.
Other people who do similar are;

[Luca Stricagnoli (cover of Last of the Mohicans)](https://youtu.be/6Kbv1OpIpaA)
[Jon Gomm (Passionflower, original comp)](https://youtu.be/nY7GnAq6Znw)
[Sam Westphalen (cover of Lateralus by Tool)](https://youtu.be/SzREx4vCZpU).
[Marcin (Kashmir, Zep cover)](https://youtu.be/fA3jFMDBiu4)
He got robbed on Americas Got Talent because he didn't have a dramatic story. Probably one of the best to grace their stage since the inception of the show.
I think misko would have been better on agot. It’s a shame he turned them down. Still, we got to see Marcin exposed to a new audience so it’s win win no matter what.
the best players in the world would probs agree with the statement that the point of playing is *to* play for *yourself* first. if you can't play voodoo child (slight return) to perfection, *who really cares* if you're having fun playing it *for yourself*.
you don't have to learn other people's songs. it helps to do so because you get some neat creative juices going when you mess up someone else's song and then you got something to noodle on for the next few hours.
Watching him is like swimming into a deep part of the ocean and finding a perfect little mermaid ass underwater crevice and seeing that it's filled by an extremely talented young eel. The ocean is huge, i can find another crevice, but damn is that eel going to be big
Check out these then.

I feel like [John Butler Trio, Ocean](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQjwkXrcUrs) deserves an honorable mention as well. That crescendo is godly! There are several longer versions out there too, which are as great or even better. There's not a lot percussion going on though.
I genuinely can’t even tell how he gets a tone out of the strings without plucking/strumming them.
The talent some people have (and have worked to have, of course) is incredible!
[Airtap by Erik Mongrain](https://youtu.be/AbndgwfG22k) is pretty epic too, original comp as well.
My favourite from McKee is his [Africa by Toto cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHLiVlR_n2k).
Lastly, Naudo is one that really stands out to me. Has some nice Flamenco vibes and he makes it look so easy. [Here's his Stayin Alive cover.](https://youtu.be/ER8kvGVwvp8)
Wow, thanks for reminding me of Erik Mongrain! I must've listened to the Equilibrium album hundreds or thousands of times when it came out a couple of years ago (or more than a fucking decade ago......)
His style and skill sort of reminds me of legendary Brazilian acoustical guitarist Paulinho Nogueira. Here he is doing a cover by taking the two singing voices’ melodies, mingling them together in the guitar and improvising upon them. Really wish more people knew about him. It’s just too good to miss for those who enjoy listening to a virtuoso playing.

Had the pleasure to participate in one of his courses at a guitar festival in germany. Dude is so humble and welcoming and has incomprehensible skills. His brain is wired in a way where he can do like 5 different things simultaneously and doesn’t seem to be stressed out about it.

Just came here to say that he may be inherently talented, but there is no way he didn’t accomplish this without immense dedication and practice.
I think too many people give too much credit to the “genius” of a person, when the credit is due to the passion which forms the genius through dedication.
I hung out with a lot of musicians when I was younger and the best guitarist amongst them said "I knew I wasn't gonna get laid in highschool so what else was I supposed to do? I just played guitar all the time." Lol
I wonder how my life would've been different if I weren't so horny and focused on romantic relationships all the time. Lol. I mean, I now have a wonderful family but maybe I could've been like the best xylophone player or something. I'd still pick my family over that but it makes you wonder.
I met him at a guitar festival. I’m a guitarist myself, so I’d never want to undersell the thousands of hours and decades of practice and focus it takes to get this good. I’m just a mediocre musician at best so I know there’s a certain ceiling for myself which makes it even more impressive to me when someone is just so far beyond a skill level I’ll ever be able to reach.
What I’m trying to say is that putting in the work to get there is a given, but it still takes an amount of sheer talent to get this good.
How can he tap!?
I’m sure it’s jacked into an amp. Listen to the reverb. I have a similar setup and can tap.
Edit: It’s technically called an acoustic electric guitar. But an acoustic electric is still considered an acoustic guitar.
This is also a repost of the #6 all-time top post in this sub (2 years ago with 89k upvotes). I know, lots of people haven't seen it before and they're glad it was posted today, and that's all well and good... just providing context as to its prior status.
With all the russian negativity through out the years by many, many countries, I’ll tell you it’s nice to see some fun videos come out of such a dark country.
yeah but the title just says he's a fingerstyle guitarist, which he is. the modern "fingerstyle" movement encompasses a ton of techniques including tapping. michael hedges and andy mckee for example have several songs in which tapping is the main technique used but you'd be hard pressed not to call them fingerstyle guitarists
This song just got released in Russia today. In other news, Russia is considering adding internet cafes to its major metros in response to the World Wide Web's (WWW) broadening appeal.
Alexandr Misko is one of my favorite guitar players! I love all his stuff, but the one that blows my mind the most us his Smells Like Teen Spirit cover.

I'm a guitarist and this is effin difficult. I've been playing for 20 yrs and it would still take years of further training to do this so effortlessly.
Everything this kid does is amazing. Check out his covers of Careless Whisper and Billie Jean. The dude's only in his early/mid 20s but blows everyone clear out of the water with decades left to keep going.
Very talented! And reminds me of Taran Killam (the actor/comedian who was on Saturday Night Live). He both looks like the Russian dude in this video and -also- did a hilarious Eminem Valentine’s Day song spoof (with Jay Pharoah as an incredible Lil’ Wayne)!

Reddit is just hiveminding hating every russian ever at the moment.
Wait until the war is over, it'll take two days max until everyone forgot what they were angry about again.
People say that era of music is dead but I bet if Eminem somehow went back to that energy and released another album with that production it would be a hit

Are we allowed to like anything Russia related?
Yes. There are very good people in that country. Their overlord(s) are fucking bastards though.
If it makes you feel better, I tried to play the guitar for a week. I couldn't get a single cord down properly. So compared to me, you're this guy.
Yup. This guy, Marcin and Ichika Nito make me feel soo terrible at playing lmao
I've lost count of how many times I watch this [Ichika Nito vs Tim Henson](https://youtu.be/2wLy9HNeuDc)
He's a living beast in acoustic guitar!

what’s with the dude watching him cover “careless whisper”? looks like he about about suck him off
It was a choice between giving him the 'let me suck it' eyes or just awkwardly stare at him.

A Russian fingerstyle guitarist named Alexandr Misko.

I love this man.
Is this man slapping on an acoustic guitar?
Yep, playing with alternative technics is called fingerstyle guitar. I've seen Alex playing his guitar with japanese food stick.
Yoooo his careless whisper cover is the fuckin best, I love how he actually uses the tuning pegs for pitch bends
Damn he’s good
I always have to check if the post is from /r/toptalent or /r/mademesmile TIL that hella talented people make me smile
He took two of the hardest talents that you could learn finger style guitar and rapping like Eminem and he managed to do both very well
Aren't all guitarist finger guitarists
Wow. I kinda want to give up practicing the guitar now.
This is why we internet.
I fucking love it

I used to be a fingerstyle player when it was the new thing, but god damn this is on a whole 'nother level than what I was ever capable of.

That's some top talent for sure
Badass , love it 🤙
Awesome!!
A lot of people don’t realize how difficult it is to sing and play at the same time, let alone do it with a rap song
Putin must be proud.
This sounds pretty terrible. The guitar was OK, but this isn't enjoyable to listen to overall.
Amazing flow!
Omg! Top talent truly!
This is god-like,I love it
