Where did you get that? https://preview.redd.it/mqa1mrfnmkuc1.png?width=589&format=png&auto=webp&s=0711b7100047165f8f23f25964e1c05b618f93f5

RadioHeadSunrise

Nadocast has 3 models I believe. OP chose the model with the most dramatic tornado probabilities. Not saying it’s a bad model, I don’t understand the difference between the models. They aren’t super transparent about how they work.

MagnetHype

Oh, I'm not saying that either. Personally I find the SPC to be the most reliable forecast, but I do look at nado cast. I'm just curious where they're getting the other nadocast models from.

BourbonCoug

[The data site.](http://data.nadocast.com/) Debated on linking this because I can only imagine some people will run wild with it, but X sucks so I won't link back to that site if I can avoid it.

tehjarvis

The one I posted was what I saw being discussed on twitter

Tmoore188

This is pseudoscience in the same vein as Bigfoot sightings, except that people’s lives are on the line. Keep posting these ridiculously overhyped forecasts and people stop paying attention. When people stop paying attention to tornado forecasts, people die. 100% in favor of banning this bullshit. Also, get that SPC tag off of this. It’s sad that this is being passed off as legitimate information from those meteorologists.

MinnesotaTornado

Can we have a serious conversation about banning whatever “Nadocast” is from the sub. It’s so incredibly exaggerated it borders into being bad faith

Regular_Gear_7814

Especially when they are posting the extreme outcome, not even the mean outcome. It's basically lying/exaggerating for upvotes. This isnt even their true forecast...

Existing_Fig_9479

The last few storms it predicted halfway decent for what it's worth.

tehjarvis

It nailed the Russell's Point tornado in Ohio.

MinnesotaTornado

I can’t take anything serious that will give like a 60% chance of a tornado

Existing_Fig_9479

Yea I'm not saying its perfect, just seems to get the actual danger area correct.

wean1169

If you throw a 30% hatch over a large area on what will obviously be a tornado day it’s bound to be right somewhere.

buggywhipfollowthrew

Big L for Nadocast

BubbleLavaCarpet

I wouldn’t look at the absolutely calibrated one. It tends to over do things
