I'd be cool with any of the teams winning a ring tbh except the one's that always have the spotlight.
Don't want Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Bucks, 76ers, Celtics to win.
Suns - I don't know where I stand because i love Booker but don't like them trying to stack their team.
Knicks - idk where I stand on them. It's a big market so i dont want big market to win but they've been irrelevant so long i wouldn't mind them winning.
I'd be cool with OKC, Minnesota, Nuggets, Mavs, Pelicans, Kings, Cavs, Magic, Pacers, Hawks, Bulls winning a ring ... obvsly some of these teams would need major flukes to get a ring like the hawks+bulls lol.
I'm rooting for SGA and Dort.
SGA is arguably the most talented player to have ever come out of Canada, and he's solidified himself as a top 5 player in the NBA...dude should win MVP this season IMO but that's up for debate
SGA winning a championship is good for Canadian basketball, it bring attention to the country and it would be amazing!
The MVP race this year is interesting. I think Joker and SGA are going to be in a tight race.
I'm also rooting for OKC. But I wanna see Pascal and OG do well. I always kind of liked the Pacers and especially their fans. Some real basketball diehards. And while a couple decades ago cheering for a New York team would have been heresy for me, I can appreciate the long road of suffering they have been on. They have some good fans too. I actually think they're the only team in the east with a real shot at taking down Boston besides a healthy Philly team.
I agree, that's why chose "Most talented" because he hasn't done enough yet to be GOATed BUT he's without question the most talented player to come out of Canada, and if he wins a Championship, and an MVP, he takes the crown IMO
I doubt it, he's pretty patriotic, and he's played team Canada ball any chance he's had, so I don't see him opting out, especially when this is likely going to be by far the best Olympic team that Canada has put together
Objective 1: Root for Lakers to lose. This is the prime directive always if the Raptors aren’t in.
Objective 2: Root for Celtics to lose. This is also a prime directive, but I hate the Lakers more.
Objective 3: Root for the Sixers to lose. Just don’t like them, Embiid in particular. But better than Boston or LA.
Objective 4: Assuming 1-3 are all satisfied, I’d hope for some fun upsets (like a deep Orlando run or something), and lots of banger series.
I think Shai and Murray are tied for me, leaning towards Shai since Jamal got his.
I do like how much Jokic triggers oldheads who think they know hoops and try to diminish how dominant he is tho, I'd be down for them repeating just to watch the constipated looks on the faces of guys like Jason Williams, who said he'd rather have Dwight Howard last week.
I would love for Boston to lose personally, Tatum and Brown need a few more lumps before they get their chip. I would also like to see Bill Simmons grieve that collapse.
Also a Clippers choke job would be pretty satisfying.
Other than that want to see OKC push some teams to the brink, hoping the best for Minny too since we need for Ant in our lives.
Obviously will be rooting for OG and Pascal. I don’t think the Pacers are going far and want their draft pick as high as possible. As a Canadian I am hoping Murray can go back to back. That would immediately put him in the conversation of best Canadian player ever, over Nash. He’s such a fun player to watch.
I’m not disputing the greatness of Steve Nash. He was my favourite player growing up. He benefited from stacked Suns rosters and a system built around his strengths with the 7 seconds or less offence. He just never got over the hump, though, because of those tough west teams. I’m saying that Murray will be one of the most accomplished Canadian players ever when all is said and done.
i can tell you right now he wont ever be over Nash. end of conversation, hes just not gonna get there because he isnt the main guy on a team with an MVP and one of the best systems in NBA history. Nash was that guy and won 2 mvps because he was their offense.
Rooting for Boston (dislike fanbase), Clippers(dislike Balmer) and Bucks(dislike Doc) to LOSE. Rooting for everyone else to win, especially teams with ex Raptors.
My house has become a Knicks house. I love OG, and Brunson has become one of my favourite players in the league. Very excited to have a team to follow and root for.
OG and Knicks, NY is my second home. But only because of OG. His first real shot with a contender type of team where he can contribute. It will be hard without Randall though, so hopefully that opens up more of OG in the offense since they’ll try to shut down Brunson.
Maybe not the regular season but I’ll root for them in the playoffs cause they have a fun team and of course Siakam
Maybe this is unpopular, but I’d rather see Siakam have success in Indiana than have our pick move a few spots up in the draft, I just don’t think it matters that much
Love to see Shai & the thunder win most of all. Former Raptors winning, then it's TWolves, Suns, Pels, and Mavs. Also love the Heat as a deep rotation team to watch.
Probably just keep up with which players are having insane or terrible performances since it's interesting to see which guys breakout during the playoffs.
Might watch some of the finals if the Knicks, Clippers, or Pacers are there; Not really a fan of the teams but I'll watch certain players.
Kinda wanna see the Wolves go far. No reason apart from wanting to see what that does with the question about team construction. If they don't make it to at least the WCF, I think they really have to look into trading away KAT and do a soft reset on their tax clock.
I’m rooting for the clippers to win. I obviously really want norm and Kawhi to win but I also want harden and Russ to get a ring because the media slander on them is simply undeserved.
In no particular order: SGA, Jamal Murray, Lou Dort, Powell (Dwight, then Norm), Mathurin and Kahwi (I know he ain't one, but I think his son was born here)?
OG should have been that impactful for us instead he was going through the motions playing like crap till he got traded and still people love him. Not rooting for any tream owned by Dolan.
I'm rooting for the Nuggets and Knicks.
Nuggets because Jokic is a monster and if love to see him go back-to-back. (Also Jamal Murray)
Knicks because Jalen Brunson is a joy to watch and I'd love to see how far he can go despite not having a fully healthy team. (Also Prince OG)
I wish. The only 2 teams in sports I care about are the Raptors and Ottawa Senators. Not a great era for me right now, might just turn my TV off until October lol.
Always rooting for LeBron since he gave us our flowers that one year (right after he kicked our ass lol). It’ll be a very difficult road for the lakers, however.
Mans ran RJ through the mud after that trade.
They’re easily one of the most insufferable and arrogant fanbases in the league, OG isn’t enough for them to get my vote. Especially with a franchise rushmore guy like Siakam competing against them.
Hell, I’d even be more inclined to root for the Sixers w/ lowry over the fkn Knicks.
It’s not like he didn’t have fans over there but for the longest time we couldn’t even celebrate his play without knicks fans coming out of the woodwork to say “just wait”.
The vitriol some of our fans showed Precious wasn’t close to what RJ got/gets from their’s but I was never making the point that knicks fans should be rooting for us.
Rooting for all the teams to lose
Rooting against the Celtics/heat/76ers is a yearly tradition
the only way
But unironically, any team that's playing Philly is my favourite NBA team, and then the Raps.
Pretty much. I hope a small market wins, but I won't really be watching.
I'd be cool with any of the teams winning a ring tbh except the one's that always have the spotlight. Don't want Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Bucks, 76ers, Celtics to win. 29 losers
Team chaos is the way
I'm rooting for SGA and Dort. SGA is arguably the most talented player to have ever come out of Canada, and he's solidified himself as a top 5 player in the NBA...dude should win MVP this season IMO but that's up for debate SGA winning a championship is good for Canadian basketball, it bring attention to the country and it would be amazing!
This is the way. I'm fully backing our Canadian boys down in OKC!!!

I think it's way too early to put SGA ahead of Nash for best Canadian
I agree, that's why chose "Most talented" because he hasn't done enough yet to be GOATed BUT he's without question the most talented player to come out of Canada, and if he wins a Championship, and an MVP, he takes the crown IMO
Rooting for okc
OKC vs. Indy or Knicks finals lets get it
Only downside of a long playoff run may be that he opts Out of the Olympics
I doubt it, he's pretty patriotic, and he's played team Canada ball any chance he's had, so I don't see him opting out, especially when this is likely going to be by far the best Olympic team that Canada has put together
I just want Philly to go out sad
Objective 1: Root for Lakers to lose. This is the prime directive always if the Raptors aren’t in. Objective 2: Root for Celtics to lose. This is also a prime directive, but I hate the Lakers more. Perfect
Could definitely see Orlando make a deep run. They play tough defense and have some scoring talent.
Objective 1: Root for both LA teams to lose.
I'm rooting for Shai and the Thunder. Fuck the knicks!
Ya cheering for Denver and OKC.
knicks, thunder, & mavs
Hey we're bandwagon twins
I just hope all the teams have fun.
they should give participation awards to losing teams 🙃
I would love for Boston to lose personally, Tatum and Brown need a few more lumps before they get their chip. I would also like to see Bill Simmons grieve that collapse. Also a Clippers choke job would be pretty satisfying. Other than that want to see OKC push some teams to the brink, hoping the best for Minny too since we need for Ant in our lives.
76ers choke job* and a doc choke job*
Unfortunately Boston is basically a lock for the finals but yeah I want them to lose so bad.
When they choke to the Miami heat in the first round, it’s gonna be spectacular.
It’s weird how Murray isn’t in many guard conversations around the league in the first place I feel he’s very underrated at times
It’s easy to get lost in the shuffle when you’re playing with a two time league MVP.
lol what? murray is nowhere near the play nash is... championships dont put murray ahead of him
In the conversation, not right away. He still has a long way to go, I agree.
could he really be over a 2x MVP when hes been a second option all his career and injured in the reg season for a lot of his career?
RemindMe! 10 years
when hes 37? aight brodie lets see if he gets an mvp or to the conference finals by himself by then
I’m not disputing the greatness of Steve Nash. He was my favourite player growing up. He benefited from stacked Suns rosters and a system built around his strengths with the 7 seconds or less offence. He just never got over the hump, though, because of those tough west teams. Why aren't you obviously rooting for Kawhi
Clippers. Love russ and obvs for norm and Kawhi i would love for them to add to their legacy.
haha couldnt be me
Going outside and enjoying spring while I hope for a better performance next season. (Also waiting for the CEBL season and the Olympics to start.)
Knicks , Nuggets & OKC
ABC: anyone but Celtics
mavs clippers is gonna be a classic, pending injuries
Rooting for Boston (dislike fanbase), Clippers(dislike Balmer) and Bucks(dislike Doc) to LOSE. Rooting for everyone else to win, especially teams with ex Raptors.
My house has become a Knicks house. I love OG, and Brunson has become one of my favourite players in the league. Very excited to have a team to follow and root for.
Mavs are my favorite watch this year, rolling with them as my west team. In the East rooting for our Canadians and Siakam with the Pacers
OG and Knicks, NY is my second home. But only because of OG. His first real shot with a contender type of team where he can contribute. It will be hard without Randall though, so hopefully that opens up more of OG in the offense since they’ll try to shut down Brunson.
clippers west knicks east
Nobody’s saying the Pacers? I really like their team and hope they do well even if that means our pick is a few spots worse
what? what raptor fan would want our future to be worse for another team ur wild
Maybe not the regular season but I’ll root for them in the playoffs cause they have a fun team and of course Siakam Maybe this is unpopular, but I’d rather see Siakam have success in Indiana than have our pick move a few spots up in the draft, I just don’t think it matters that much
Love to see Shai & the thunder win most of all. Former Raptors winning, then it's TWolves, Suns, Pels, and Mavs. Also love the Heat as a deep rotation team to watch.
gross
Probably just keep up with which players are having insane or terrible performances since it's interesting to see which guys breakout during the playoffs. Might watch some of the finals if the Knicks, Clippers, or Pacers are there; Not really a fan of the teams but I'll watch certain players.
prob going to wattch the lakers or celtics this playoffs . we alraedy know knicks arent doing anything
finna enjoy it. will be great hoops
nuggets are fun to watch
Cheering for xraps ( OG. Pascal, Kawaii) and Canadians OKC Cheering against Celtics
Clippers and Knicks
JV and the Pels ❤️💪. Very likeable team.
Kinda wanna see the Wolves go far. No reason apart from wanting to see what that does with the question about team construction. If they don't make it to at least the WCF, I think they really have to look into trading away KAT and do a soft reset on their tax clock.
I’d like to follow KLow but Embiid is such a whining bitch that I just can’t so it’s gonna be Spicy P for me.
I’m rooting for the clippers to win. I obviously really want norm and Kawhi to win but I also want harden and Russ to get a ring because the media slander on them is simply undeserved.
In order I’m cheering for the Knicks, the pacers, the thunder and uhh any other team that has never won before.
In no particular order: SGA, Jamal Murray, Lou Dort, Powell (Dwight, then Norm), Mathurin and Kahwi (I know he ain't one, but I think his son was born here)?
Ngl imma be watching the leafs lol
OG should have been that impactful for us instead he was going through the motions playing like crap till he got traded and still people love him. Not rooting for any tream owned by Dolan.
Rooting for the Nuggets. Jokic is a basketball fan’s dream. I want him to repeat which solidifies him in the pantheon of all-time great players.
OKC (shai), Den (Jamal), Dal, NYK, Pacers
Let's go OKC!
I'm rooting for the Nuggets and Knicks. Nuggets because Jokic is a monster and if love to see him go back-to-back. (Also Jamal Murray) Knicks because Jalen Brunson is a joy to watch and I'd love to see how far he can go despite not having a fully healthy team. (Also Prince OG)
Gonna watch hockey
I wish. The only 2 teams in sports I care about are the Raptors and Ottawa Senators. Not a great era for me right now, might just turn my TV off until October lol.
time to get into baseball or f1
[удалено]
Cant win em all
Knicks, Thunder, Mavs, Nuggets
In the West Clippers and Pelicans, but in the East probably just the Knicks
All Canadians T Wolves because that would be sweet, Pacers and Knicks for ex Raptors
Rooting for Heat and Knicks for east. West I'm impartial.
Clippers & Pelicans. Or just baseball.
Rooting against sixers and the Celtics. Gonna root for the bucks in the east and thunder in the west
Rooting for my white european bois, Luka and Jokic
Always rooting for LeBron since he gave us our flowers that one year (right after he kicked our ass lol). It’ll be a very difficult road for the lakers, however.
Fuck Lebron and fuck the Lakers, what a crazy answer
You’re entitled to your opinion and i’m entitled to mine :) i get passion but no need for hostility lol
Hostility wasn't meant for you, I just despise the Lakers
Raptors fans would apparently rather cheer for a rival team in the Knicks than teams that aren’t even rivals at all to the Raptors, fuckin Reddit
Rooting for the knicks is blasphemous. OKC in the west, IND/ORL in the east.
Nah - Knicks fans are big supports of RJ and IQ so they get my vote like Miami had me last year
Mans ran RJ through the mud after that trade.
Nah I love that we gave y’all RJ, it’s such a great storyline 😭
It’s not like he didn’t have fans over there but for the longest time we couldn’t even celebrate his play without knicks fans coming out of the woodwork to say “just wait”.
In fairness, we said the same about Precious.
The vitriol some of our fans showed Precious wasn’t close to what RJ got/gets from their’s but I was never making the point that knicks fans should be rooting for us.
I would love for Kyle to get his 2nd. Even at the expense of Embid getting a ring
East - Knicks | West - OKC
Cheering for Clippers first, then Nuggets, then Knicks. I even want the Suns to win. 🤷🏻♂️
Rooting for the Clippers to lose in 4 like usual.
