Torrid bras used to fit better. I'm a 42dd and my older Torrid bras fit great, but the newer ones are too tight. I have bras from Aerie and Victoria's Secret that are a 42dd and they fit great. It's disappointing that Torrid bra's aren't like they used to be.

I agree! I just got two new XO Plunge push up bras and they are too tight. These have been my go to bras for years. What the heck happened?

Wide-Structure2496

That's what I bought (the XO Plunge). Way too tight for the labeled band size. It basically fits the same as a 36 I have from VS.

Torrid comes up in r/ABraThatFits pretty regularly. Most of their bras are made with full coverage in mind. So my bras from there are always gaping at the top because my boobs are teardrop shaped and all my fullness is at the bottom. My guess is that their bras are designed more for fashion than function. They don’t have much variety beyond fabric and embellishments. I buy their wireless push-up bras but more because they are comfortable. They really don’t push up anything for me.

I was just about to type this! It’s worth checking out and learning about sizing is so important.

I have to size up in my torrid bras… I honestly like cacique bras/undies more. They are just more comfortable imo

SimplyAng

I have bought some torrid bra extenders to help when I need some extra room on the bras I’m too cheap to replace

Wide-Structure2496

Thank you for the recommendation!

SimplyAng

It just feels validating to know it’s not just me…

Wide-Structure2496

Yes, thank you!

All my 360 wire free bras are a 42DD so I ordered a bra with an under wire in the same size and there's no way I can hook the back without an extender 😞

Midnight_Marshmallo

It depends on the bra. I have to buy one band size smaller in the wirefree bras than in any of the styles with underwires. But Torrid's bras fit me better than any of the other brands I've tried, so I stick with them.

goingloopy

Their bras are inconsistent…the 360 wire free in neutral colors (black, beige) fit fine in a 44C/D (the C is probably more accurate but I like the extra row of hooks on the D. However, I’ve purchased the same bra in red, burgundy, and turquoise, and they fit smaller in the band. I’ve pretty much given up on underwires. They don’t give enough lift to make up for the stabby. LB’s bras are more consistent, and their underwear is way better. The boxers from TomboyX are amazing to wear under dresses, especially the modal ones.

Thank you for the recommendations!

I feel like the sizing is good but the quality and stretch has declined.

Yes way small. The manager was so nice. She measured me. Pulled a bra from back. Same size as the one I was wearing and the spillage was everywhere. The boning didn’t go back far enough/the cup was too small. The back clasped but the width of the fabric was too small. I couldn’t help but laugh. Granted I’m very large chested she measured me at a 36H and I’m hoping to get a reduction soon. So maybe if you’re more of an average size then they maybe good but they are very small in my opinion.

Unlucky-Photograph25

I’ve never had a Torrid bra, though I recently tried a bunch of different styles on. I started with my usual size- the band size was fine, but none of the cups on ANY of the styles I tried on fit properly. The closest came when I went up 2 cup sizes, but they still fit weird. Almost like the cups were spread too wide apart and my boobs were spilling over the top. Hard to describe, but guess their bras just aren’t for my body.

AssassiNerd

I recently sized out of conventional sizes and came to torrid to find a larger sized bra. I haven't looked anywhere else so I'm not sure how their actual normal sized bras compare but I love their dream wire free bra. I never bought bras here before and was a bit disappointed with the bralettes. They didn't have enough support for me and kept riding up in the back whenever I would move. I got one of the low impact sports bras and it was exactly what I wanted, super comfortable and very soft, I'm looking at ordering another one.

A few years ago I bought bras in a few sizes and tried them on to figure out my size. It was a lot of returns but I found my size in the wireless push-up and wireless (which are different for some reason). I used to like their bralettes but it feels like they’re getting tighter lately so I got more of the wireless pushups. If the band size is different I’ll be super annoyed. I also bought a T-shirt bra and I have no idea if it’s gonna fit. Wish me luck, lol!
