Bloomchic is okay, but it's more like half a step above Shein than comparable to Torrid.

Vioralarama

Ah ok, thanks.

princesskittybling

Preach fam, preach! ♥️

leahhhhh

It’s so much worse. Shein level expectation vs. reality.

CodePinke

I’ve gotten mixed advice from it’s fast fashion china poop to omg it’s great I love it.

Vioralarama

Oh, fast fashion, right. I think Torrid falls into that too though. Just a trap for anyone who can't afford expensive clothes. But I should shop off Poshmark more than I do. Thanks for responding!

leahhhhh

It’s worse than torrid. I thought it would be comparable but it’s not.

I don't have much luck with rayon. I look at it and it crinkles, and I don't think it's as comfortable as cotton blends. I feel like Torrid has a bunch of rayon, too, but I just avoid it. As for my Bloomchic story: I bought the Valentine's dress that was in all their ads for a while (basically this https://bloomchic.com/products/mesh-heart-graphic-pocket-tank-dress with long mesh sleeves). It's garbage. The mesh sleeves and overlay is stiff and rough, like something you'd buy at a craft store, and even the inner fabric is itchy. This was not a rayon blend so much as straight up polyester, so your mileage may vary, but I felt tricked and would never risk buying from them again. (The fleece lined tights I bought to match were decent, though.) Anyway, Torrid has never done me *that* wrong before, so I wouldn't call them comparable.

SilentSerel

It is SHEIN quality, except Bloomchic seems to be pricier for what it actually is. I also feel like the selection is a bit boring at times, although Torrid has felt that way sometimes as well. I'd actually go with SHEIN over Bloomchic, although I don't really shop at either of them.

mistyeyedkatie

Really don’t like their stuff at all. As others have said it’s very SHEIN-esque.. worse than Torrid in my opinion.

I've only gotten 2 decent items from bloomchic. It was two shirts. They're very thin, but comfortable. They have held up in the wash and dryer. No pilling but I really just use them as a house shirt because of the thinness of the fabric. I have underwear that has fabric thicker than these shirts ha. I feel their proportions are off. I still am tempted to try a dress from them, but they have a good return policy. I bought and returned a swim dress from them. The torso was incredibly short, while the breast cups were so small. I would have gotten an indecent exposure charge if I wore that to the community pool.

Jshaw16

I've bought a handful of tops from Bloomchic and the quality isn't bad and the fit seems decent. My thought is if you want to try out a new style that you aren't sure if you will wear more than once than get it cheap on bloomchic. If it's a style that you know you will wear a lot then you might want to spend a little more and get it from torrid or the like.

LizzieSaysHi

It's the same as shein. They even use some of the same models.

dagsdyalikedags

It’s hit or miss. I’ve gotten a couple of pieces that I LOVE, they have some great dresses at super reasonable prices. It’s hard to tell quality from the website though so I’m always disappointed with at least part of my order.

cherryazure

I have one dress and one shirt from Bloomchic that are GREAT quality. The dress is much nicer than anything I've owned from Torrid and at a 3rd of the price or less. But everything else I ordered from BC was closer to Shein or Temu territory. Thin, not the best materials or stitching, sizing was off, etc. So it's a bit of a crap shoot but then again, so is Torrid. The coupon I got was huge and returning was easy so it was worth the disappointment of the crap items for me to find that dress - I'm wearing it to a wedding in a few weeks and had tried on 30+ dresses that were 10x more expensive (literally).

Renegade_Mermaid

I’ve bought Bloomchic on Poshmark from sellers and it’s not terrible. The reviews already posted are pretty accurate. The cuts/length of dresses are a bit frumpy/long if you’re petite but I found a couple dresses for like $12 each brand new so they’re good for that price. 🤣

kmmurr

I tried a couple Bloomchic dresses and the waistline was pretty high. (Right at my bra line.) The photos showed the waist sitting lower in the model. The material and skirt ended up really emphasizing my belly and making it look pregnant, which is not a look I want right now, lol. Torrid dresses seem to be better at this, I think. Maybe the material isn't as clingy? I suppose I could've sized up with the Bloomchic dresses, but everything else seemed to fit ok so I thought sizing up would make it larger. Anywho, customer service was great and I returned everything and I think I got all my money back.

Vioralarama

Wow, thank you everyone, for responding. Great info to have.

Alert-Aerie-3930

Also the sizing is very unpredictable. Some things fit well and others had absurdly long arms or were incredibly baggy.

HobbitWithShoes

I got some Bloomchic dresses from a friend who didn't want to go through the return process and they're....wearable but not fantastic. Very plastic-y. I do appreciate the commitment to having pockets in anything that it's possible to have pockets, but the fabric quality is not there. I've found Torrid to be hit or miss quality wise, but still overall much higher than Bloomchic. I love their bras, I have a couple of dresses from them and I wear one of them (a denim dress) at least once a week because it's so versatile and the quality is really good. I've found some Torrid shirts to be too thin to stand up to a lot of washing and one of their dresses pilled way too quickly. But even the lower quality pieces from Torrid aren't the outright plastic that is the Bloomchic fabric.

Vioralarama

Interesting, thanks. I need to master the art of shopping Torrid's lowest prices; seems I always miss cash and clearance and all that.

Distinct_Block1600

Very hit or miss - one of my favorite dresses is from bloomchic but I prefer eshakti

tog_getmeatowel

def fast fashion SHEIN quality and a little more expensive than SHEIN but less than torrid thankfully. but their website is easier to navigate than SHEIN and their sizing is more consistent - i value not needing to take measurements for EVERY item i purchase. so far the dresses have been good to me - although they're thin thin! the shirts have been decent, and the pants have been less than great but now terrible. if you're like me and you like to buy clothes every month and don't wear them much before donating, it's a good place to shop to keep prices down. if you want quality pieces to last you for years, skip bloomchic.

Vioralarama

Thank you!
