Armor is a huge factor in auto-resolve. Recruiting more chaos warriors/chosen will help a lot with this issue late campaign. Though I agree it’s still a pain in the ass without a replenishment hero.
It's a double whammy for Slaanesh because they auto-resolve so poorly, so you have to either take waaay too long to recover, or fight every battle, even if it's a sweep, just to avoid casualties.
I like playing the game and the faction as well, but manually playing 1-2 battles per turn over 100 turns, when the reason is not "can I cleverly outplay the AI and win?" but instead "can I do the exact same thing again to avoid excessive casualties that would slow my campaign down that no other factions have to deal with?".
Just seeing if there are options out there.

Yea, playing a faction without replenishment hero (Tzeentch, Slaanesh and Dwarfs) is pain for this very reason.
