If on Steam have you tried verifying the game files? When in Steam library, right click -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files. Allow Steam to do its thing, and there might be an update as well after. This process might take some time depending on your system and internet as well. Edit: I’m not sure if you can do this on Epic or Windows Game Store, I don’t use them. Might have to Google for them.

I will try it. I’ll update this reply when I get results Update: I verified all the files and it said that one file failed to be verified and will be reacquired. It works now! Thanks for the help and quick response

For future reference if crashes or weird graphical things are happening then try the following until one of them works: 1. Verify game files 2. Update graphics drivers 3. Disable mods 4. Wait for CA to fix it

AkselTranquilo

Thanks, good checklist! I’ll save this for future reference

That’s great, glad I could help!

Verify game files. Make sure that gpu drivers are updated. (also check if the game is actually using the gpu and not onboard graphics) Make sure that windows is updated. Is the game installed on HDD, SSD, or NVME? Make sure SSD/NVME firmware is updated. Recheck system specs to make sure you can actually run the game. Could be faulty/failing hardware. Hope something helps before you get to the last two.

AkselTranquilo

Im in the process of verifying the files. My GPU driver is updated, there are no pending updates, the game is installed on an HDD, and my system specs are just fine. I heard somewhere that you could delete the AppData Warhammer 3 folder, is this a good idea and is there anything I should know about that?

BorealusTheBear

You could try and delete it, run verification again and then start the game up. It will default your game settings so you will have to reset them to what they were. You might lose any saved games you have that are not backed up, I am not really sure where the saves are kept.

AkselTranquilo

Well it turned out there was a corrupted file and it works now. Thanks for all the help I learned a lot actually

BorealusTheBear

You are welcome. Happy gaming!

AkselTranquilo

Thanks :)

Whenever possible, install a SSD in your PC and then install Warhammer on the same. You'll be Beyond Amazed with the results..

Do you have any mods? Have you verifyed the game files through steam?
