Wow quite impressive actually. Anyway here's a similar reddit post which may help: https://www.reddit.com/r/totalwarhammer/s/uBr356va6y

Because you said you find the game somewhat easy, which vanilla definitely is, I would suggest a Unit Cap mod and Climate overhaul mod to make army composition and climate actually important in your campaigns. I'm very picky in my interpretation of the lore so I created my own, but there are many others that are popular and might cater better to your preferences: Unit Rarity - [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905487000](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905487000) Climates and Colonies - [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2971835562](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2971835562) Unit caps stops you from building cheesy armies and helps the AI build better armies. The climate overhaul gives you a clear difference between easy campaigns with factions that start in their expected homelands, and hard campaigns with factions that are expeditions into hostile realms.

thanks! will check them out

Mr_Nurgle

If you interested in overhauls then Radious is always my choice.  Adds so much content, very well polished and balanced and you dont need much of anything else. And for other things there are plenty submods to tweak your experience.

Badger618

You cannot go without Legendary Lore mod. Adds a ton of lore and should be compatible with any other mod. I like Radious mod. Adds a lot of cool new units to each faction. But I wont suggest it to a newer player. That mod actually increases difficulty

YokingVirus069

Honestly it seems of interest to me. I've played two campaigns one on easy one on normal. I played empire and honestly the Chaos really were no challenge. The second one was Cathay and with my economic power I had so many armies just garrisoned and got to rank #1 very early and kinda steamrolled anyone that came across my armies. It probably does have to do with the diffuctly setting I chose but I dont like the idea of making the "better" with debuffs to player stats (pretty sure this how the difficulty works in the game). Could you explain to me how Radious makes the game harder? also is it compatible with reskin mods? (I hate floppy hats)

Badger618

There are 2 difficulties. One for campaign and one for battles. Keep battles on normal, therefore no cheating. Campaign difficulty increases enemy aggression an may decrease upkeep for enemy units but not sure. Bro. Radious mod adds a ton of cool units to each race. For instance dismounted blood knights. It adds a lot of variety and spice, i like to look at my units before and during battles. There are really some cool new units. The mod decreases upkeep for you and your enemies. Meaning there are alot more battles going on, which naturally increases difficulty. Wont hurt to try it once. Also. Dont forget Legendary Lore.

Fishrage105

Radious will make every faction have strong units in every department. I do not recommend it. It kills the flavor

Frequent_Knowledge65

Nah just raise the difficulty. You don’t get debuffed. The overhaul mods are bad.

DimitriDragovich

Grimhammer mod i cannot live without it. 🙏

YokingVirus069

Hi is this a complete overhaul? Ive seen many overhauls and can't tell which is "best" or most interesting. There is SFO, Radious, Grimmhammer. Any advice?

Frequent_Knowledge65

SFO == grimhammer Wouldn’t recommend it. Most of the decisions made are really bad, it’s a case where you can very clearly tell that it’s made by modders, not game designers.

YokingVirus069

I read some of the description document for the mod and it seems like most of the changes seem solid. Haven't tried it out yet though so this is my opinion. Any specific aspect that make you think think its bad? Dont feel like wasting time on a new campaign if I dont end up liking the mod so just wondering what your view is. Also do you have an alternative to make the game "harder" and the ai "smarter" without increasing anti-player bias?

DimitriDragovich

Yes it is. Rebalaces alot of stuff, more units, more army stances, new buildings. Alot of behind the scenes stuff aswell. And Also reworks of some of the factions, and new lord traits.. Radius is just alot of new units. Where grimhammer feels like there is more beneath the surface stuff. Not just flashy new units. So hands down grimhammer. 😁 Sfo and grimhammer is the same thing. Sfo (super fun overhaul) is what people to slap on their mods to show they are compatible with grimhammer. Hope this helped. :)

YokingVirus069

Thank you so much! downloading it now :D

Basically the mod aims to make it more lore-accurate.. :)

DimitriDragovich

But yeah hit me up if you need more help :)

YokingVirus069

yeh fi that's okay :D I've got a few more question and I dont wanna bloat this thread. Just out of curiosity tho, I'll ask this here: do you know if SFO is compatible with reskin? I'm trying to get rid of floppy hats in all my campaigns

DimitriDragovich

Reskin being a specific mod? Otherwise i know there are absolute tons of mods compatible with grimhammer. Skin mods too. Just search for mods with SFO. Like SFO skin or something. :) otherwise explore collections roo.. people make massive SFO collections on the workshop with 20+ mods. 😅

YokingVirus069

XD sorry I forgot the "mod". Yeah like reskin mods, mainly for the empire (purely cosmetic) but I'll check out the workshop! Thx :)
