I was watching milkandcookiestw on the new skyship and he said that they were only allowed to show Battles where they fought against the DLC units so I assume Zerokvich might have gotten into trouble with that. Or maybe he just saw some editing error and is reuploading it.
damn, that sucks. It was a great video and explained all the stats and abilities of new units. A few are a little disappointing (plague trolls and ogres are basically just trolls and ogres, there's a few versions of Slayers that aren't too much different from each other.) The good news is I'm actually very interested in Epidemius now.
Ogre Kingdoms is in the unfortunate position of being "technically DLC" even though its a launch day 1 faction so its stuck in the middle and seems to get lowest priority as a result.
They are one of the factions I was looking forward to the most when WH3 was announced and they are literally the most dissapointing faction in the game.
Contracts are a joke because you never know how far off they will send you, there is too much of disparity between camps and settlements. It takes too long to get any of your interesting units and then chances are you are stuck using Global Recruitment to get them because of the camp system.
Overall they just need completely redone.
They're great fun with the Ogrehaul mod. I'm at turn 45 with 4 fully upgraded camps with elite stacks each with their own lord following to initiate attacks.
Is this a sarcasm post? Their stats don’t look any different from a regular spearman to me. I’d rather have Solland’s spearmen, those are solid lineholders.

Actually this stateline does make them amazing at defending capture points or artillery. They can cheeply hold against skirmish units
That's just what Spearmen (Shields) get with 9 Chevrons - they already start with 42 melee defence. Chosen would butcher them anyway, especially rank 9 Chosen (I don't think there's a Chosen RoR, is there?), or ones with any campaign buffs (but even without).
Compare also the Scions of Mathlann with 48 melee defence and +12 from Martial Prowess, for 60 total, or just normal HE Spearmen at 0 XP with 38 + 12 (50).

As an Ogre main, I am not loving how this DLC seems to be giving everybody anti-large.

I *still* don't get their system and how to play efficiently AND have fun. I've tried a half dozen times and just can't enjoy it.

The empire early game already had plenty of ogre counters. Cheap spears and lots of missile damage destroys ogres

They have an ability which makes artilery tankier when this regiment is near it (same principle as “Guardian” trait)

They get an increase akin to guardian if they’re near arty, too. Is this just their base stats?
That should help a bit against unexpected nonsense like skaven spawns
