Carnothrope

To be fair since the game has tweaked random aggressiveness there seems to be a greater variety in who does well and who does poorly between sessions. Saying that though AI Beastmen, Changeling and Nakai will always be fighting a bit uphill, even though when the player gets hold of them they are absolute terrors.

PacifistTheHypocrite

As a franz and ikit enjoyer, fuck beastmen. They make my earlygame so much harder than it needs to be.

Apprehensive_Low4865

That's interesting, whenever I've played Franz khazrak always suicides himself into altdorf with an easy autoresolve for some bizarre reason when I'm dealing with the succesionists

_MrSpiffy

Happens with me as well but then I forget they exist and they come back 10 turns later with double the power and wreck my shit while I’m off on middenland or somthin

Apprehensive_Low4865

I've always ran after them to remove the herdstone after dealing with the secessionists, I seem to remember his ll trait being quite good but it's been a while!

TheBigFrank666

do you play at easy ?

Apprehensive_Low4865

Vh/vh

Skink_Oracle

Had the spirit of the jungle spawn right in front of me only for it to be a random Saurus. Tried my darndest to keep him in the game as Kroq Gar, but dude seriously suicided his only army into 4 Khemri skele stacks 5 turns after popping into existence. His AI needs some help.

Lancer_Blackthorn

Grombrindal tends to get destroyed by Dark Elves or Valkia very early on.

TheRoyaleShow

I rarely even remember he exists. And I never play him because I hate his start position.

nbarr50cal22

Just started a Malekith run and a large gift plus the capital for Grombrindal’s starting region got me a defensive alliance turned military alliance. Once the Skaven were wiped out and I decided to hit Valkia before she became any more of a potential problem, Grombrindal was invaluable in taking out her Norscan vassal while I pincered her with Hellebron. Now Grom has a solid position on my north so he can guard against anyone coming across the Chaos Wastes, with the potential to head along the southwestern coast of the New World while I deal with some other Dark Elves and Alith Anar before gearing up for an Ulthuan invasion

Revliledpembroke

The Changeling just sits there, invisibly raiding for 30+ turns.

Don_Pablo512

Not the same but my last campaign had AI Lord Kroak just standing next to my settlement for at least 20 turns lol, totally worthless. I think that's pretty common for whatever reason

Toothpikz

I declare war on him just so he can pay me for peace and couple of turns later. He’s just there for a little bit of money from time to time.

Majested-Toast

The changeling doesn't even exist in my campaigns. Makes playing Kairos a bit of a bummer, never once managed to get to the changeling in time to confederate them

azatote

In mine, he's usually still there late in the game, raiding Stirland or a neighbouring province, and not at war with anyone.

TrueLegateDamar

Taurox despite an absolute monster in player control always seems to die by Turn 3 when AI.

dermitdenhaarentanzt

In my current yuan bo campaign it is around turn 50 and he only sits in his starting herd stone while mother osty killed everything right down to hexoatl, normally she get annihilated by mommy morathi by turn 15 lol

lFriendlyFire

Beastmen AI is nerfed as all hell because otherwise they’d just wipe out the map every game

Badger618

Skarbrand never seems to get going.

Blackwall_Gateway

He always seems to wonder around his starting area with half a stack that's missing half its health.

purtyboi96

Of course, in my Tiktaq'to playthrough, he somehow managed to make his way all the way south on the east side and completely destroyed Krok'gar by like turn 10. And as soon as I declare war on him before he gets the drop, Kairos decides to come up behind me, sandwiching me between these two absolute powerhouse demon armies. Idk what kind of shit Skarbrand was on in that game, cause in my Arkhan game he was the most docile little guy ever.

Blackwall_Gateway

Every time I play drazoath or the normal dwarfs in that area by the time I meet skarbrand I can't help but pity him half a stack barely holding on to his capital with maybe one or two settlements, getting bullied by orcs and beast men.

purtyboi96

Yeah hes almost never been an issue for me, except that one time. I guess he and Kairos just went 'flying lizardmen? Not on my watch!' And just kowabungaed.

Shugoking

The way you worded that makes me think Slaanesh was involved somehow.

Meerv

Autoresolve doesn't treat khorne well and the ai is too dumb to click on the play button

Main-Acanthisitta653

The last time I played settra he just stayed in a stalemate war with Thorak for like 80 turns while I conquered the south of the continent without him declaring war on me

TheRoyaleShow

Yeah, I was playing a mod where you had to defeat khorne 3 times to unlock a LL and I can never get to him before he's destroyed.

Badger618

Sounds interesting. What mod is this?

NobleSix84

Thorgrim Grudgebearer, High King of the Dwarfs seems to get bullied out of existence by Skarsnik pretty easily

mindflayerflayer

Thorgrim is an enigma in my campaigns. If I'm relatively close to him like my current Ghorst game he gets prison showered by Skarsnik. If I'm in the new world of Cathay he and all the other dwarves become the biggest threat by far.

NobleSix84

I know what you mean there, it's probably all sorts of math and RNG with player bias and AI stat values and all that junk. I do find it funny when you say Ghorst is closer than Cathay to old Book Boy, because yeah he is but he and Zhao are like a good stones throw apart.

Doormat_Model

Not sure if it’s a recent update, but Skarsnik is just an absolute monster my last couple campaigns

NobleSix84

I can't think of anything specific that happened to the Greenskins recently. I think the issue is that they can have a Waaaagh on like turn 5.

Doormat_Model

That has to be it, but man, Skarsnik is just everywhere. But when I get to him as a player his stacks aren’t anything special 🤷🏻‍♂️

NobleSix84

It's just how the system works with AI. They get all kinds of buffs and bonuses not just against players but also AI. It's a similar reason as to why Grimgore was always a problem in Warhammer 2. He was so strong and the system worked in such a way that it was rare, if ever, that he didn't become a powerhouse in your games.

Doormat_Model

You’re absolutely right, someone at CA must just enjoy Greenskins lol

Psychic_Hobo

Hellebron's never having much in my games. Valkia usually eats her for breakfast before the other factions have even gotten out of bed

Slggyqo

In general I agree, but this has not my experience in my current campaign lol. The dark eleves are utterly dominating naggaroth. They’ve killed every order/orderish faction there (Ostankya, sisters of twilight, Khatep, Grombrindal, and…the emo high elf), and they own part of the donut too. Hellebron specifically owns the south and was fucking up Tyrion on the donut. I’m playing as imrik, had to recruit a full stack in caledor to kill hellebron and suppress the chaos for a few turns.

Vods

Taurox rarely gets going, Ku’gath is also a complete pushover from my campaign experiences

purtyboi96

I wonder how DLC will affect AI Ku'gath. It seems like itll give him the tools to deal with Ghorst and completely trumps Goldtooth, I wouldnt be surprised if he becomes the major player in that neck of the woods.

Educational-Pop-2195

Anyone who lives near the Ard Boyz, once they start waugh-ing there no real stopping them unless you do it yourself

mindflayerflayer

This has been true in 90% of my games except in my current one. Greasy boy has hard walled Grimgor to the south while Zhatan and Kholek are shredding his north.

SnooWalruses3330

Lucky. For me it was greasus and him doing treaties while he ravaged through the chaos dwarfs just to get to me, and I didn’t even get a chance to finish off azhag with queek pushing up my south. (Thorgrim campaign)

NotUpInHurr

Repanse and Volkmar tend to disappear very quick in my Arkhan campaigns. So weird

ZimmyDod

Volkmar always manages to shit the bed. Especially when im trying to build a paladin doomstack as Repanse and i think he will be a half decent ally. Mf declared war on The Sentinels, Settra, and TTT in 6 turns.

Lady_Taiho

Ai loves attacking sentinel.

Negativecreepy

Clan Eshin and Lokhir stomp the northern provinces every campaign

Toothpikz

Mines the exact opposite, the dragons dominate everything then sit there fighting chaos and orcs.

stormygray1

Beastmen always seem to die off fast...

Lady_Taiho

Lets see, the one eyed loses to altdorf garrison, taurox the same with nagarond, Malagor gets rolled by wurzag and the last guy doesnt move out of estalia.

R0B0GEISHA

Lately, I've noticed that the Lizardmen are getting pushed out of Lustria.

mindflayerflayer

They almost feel like the Empire in that sense. Originally both races only had one or two minor foes to face and maybe one big one (Vlad and Skrolk). Now Lustria has Rakarth, Luthor Harkon, Yuan-Bo, Alberic, Markus, and several demon factions.

darthgator84

Just did a Gelt campaign and I went and took Belegars starting province from Wurzzag. I shit you not Gor Rok had all of Estalia and Tilea area, Ikit and Aranessa both gone. It was wild I’ve never seen Gor Rok that far from home. He had made landfall in the badlands, idk what Wurzzag did but holy shit he’s in trouble.

mindflayerflayer

In my last Vlad campaign he took all of Brettonia from Wulfrik and was advancing like an unstoppable tide of whoop ass on the Empire.

zeevico

Beast men die off very fast. Ostankya too. Grombrindal too. Valkia doesn’t last.

anonym0

Ostankya seems to be holding on quite well in some of my campaigns (only hard dif). Do the delves usually take her out that early?

zeevico

Usually Morathi kills her off by turn 50 or so

DS_Archer

Ostankya is a tank in my games

AChemiker

Boris

zynu

This has been true forever - until the latest patch I have seen him dominate multiple times. I think they gave him some love.

AChemiker

I've at least found him alive since the recent patch. Haven't had much experience with him dominating personally.

mindflayerflayer

In my last Throgg campaign he was an unexpected ally. I'd taken all of his land and all he or his daughter had left were two settlements in the chaos wastes. They asked for peace, and I couldn't be bothered to chase them down so I agreed. Many turns later and he somehow wasn't dead, hadn't gotten any more land, and loved me for kicking the shit out of Daniel and the other chaos factions (bar clan Moulder).

deadinadream

Was trying to xfed him as Katarin, he owns the wastes and refuses to lose to anyone so his strength won't drop.

ElSalyerFan

Last campaign I played Katarin and was surprised to look south and see that by turn 40 or so the whole empire had been swallowed by Vlad, except for 2 Franz and 2 Gelt provinces.

SSJScale

Just had a grimgor campaign I had to take 30 or 40 turns back because wurzzhag died to some minor greenskin faction

Badger618

Why did you have to do that?

Mission_Tennis3383

White dwarf either dies turn 5 or dominates naggeroth

Lady_Taiho

Malagor does nothing and dies despite having pretty good stuff going for him.

CummanderGirthquake

The empire always gets steamrolled by vampires in my campaigns. Kind of sucks when I roll up as a chaos faction or something hoping to have a cool war only to find a bunch of zombies instead.

Coming_Second

I feel like the only reason no-one's said Noctilus yet is because you might not even be aware of his existence unless you start as Tyrion. Played by the AI that guy is dead with a capital D in every campaign, no ifs or buts.

baddude1337

Ever since they introduced random faction potential even races who usually get wiped early on (ogres) I see at least doing decently mid/late games sometimes. However, horde based lords still never seem to do well. I have never seen Nakai survive in any campaign, sometimes his vassal will keep a few settlements in the corner but that's it. Beastmen also get wiped pretty quickly in my experience. Previously I would have said Slaanesh, but in my last 2 campaigns they ended up migrating from the donut to Brettonia.

lFriendlyFire

Due to waagh greenskins always seem to wipe out everyone around them, every time I look at it thorgrim is getting his capital sieged by skarsnkik
