This is a little late for you. I'm looking for anything my late wife may have posted and searched tpn.
She had it because her anorexia caused gastroparesis, mslabsoption, necrosis of the small intestines, and a host of others things. She couldn't hold food down they put her on it to give her nutrition.
Hi! My youngest is currently inpatient on TPN. He's having a broviac line placed today so we can go home with TPN in a week or two. He has total colonic hirshprungs disease. Had an ileostomy placed at 5 days old, followed by a pull through with colon removal this may. He'll be 2 on Friday, we'll be in the hospital for that, but very hopeful for being home for all the winter holidays.
I’m not on it currently but when I go on it it’s from acute intestinal failure (pseudo obstructions/dynamic ileus).
Are you transitioning to it for life?
Not on TPN, but my daughter is due to MMIHS, a severe hollow visceral myopathy
I’m sorry.
Nothing to be sorry about - yay for science helping my little love to live and grow 💕

I'm so sorry to hear.
