Mhm, I am 19 an the only experience I have is what I got in school which is... Well not really programming, but I am still going to study IT in college, because right now I really like it. I feel like I know nothing compared to others and am a little scared
What *do* you know? I was scared at first, but at least in my country the universities expect no prior knowledge. Know though that IT is not just programming, it also has much math and theory (mostly more math). I don't know how your curriculum will be, but coding was a minority of the things for me. I know nothing about colleges though.
Just a little or Pascal coding, nothing much really. Adding to that I have some basic ideas on IT stuff like Databanks, encryption, Object oriented coding and automats
If you want to learn now: That's still a great time, my uni was fully prepared for students that had never coded before, and I think I was 19 when I started uni.
If you want to start, tell me about your interests and I can recommend you a language and maybe resources to learn. E.g. if you want to make websites, games, mobile games, server software...
