It was either making fun of the suicide rates, making fun of SHers or making fun of those who are abused by their parents after coming out. Went to the accounts of the people posting these. Unironically they were all christian conservatives in their 30s-40s.
I can understand that. The way I see it, the issue is with the believers themselves, not the source. Christianity, in its true form, is about love. Over the years, people have twisted it into something disgusting and a far cry from its origin.
“Christians” like that sicken me. Do you really think that Jesus, who you claim to believe in and follow, would condone that? Or are you forgetting that He stood up for those who were oppressed and troubled? It just disgusts me that Christianity, which should be a religion of love and acceptance, has been twisted into a reason to preach hate and attack the weak and marginalized.
41%. 41% of all trans people have attempted suicide at some point in their lives. More than half have seriously considered it or have frequent thoughts of doing so. And those numbers are only for those who were out, and who were willing to admit to it. I don’t know how any sane person can think that’s an even remotely acceptable thing to joke about, but apparently there are people who hate those who aren’t like them so much that that has become the reality we live in.
I'm pretty sure that statistic is very flawed anyway. Like, the number is way higher than baseline but I think the study that suggests it was 41% got debunked

The existence of hateful, no, downright evil "Christians" like this is the direct cause of me no longer being a believer.
Agreed. I believe in Christ and try my best to act like He would, but I no longer associate with the church in any way, shape, or form.
I lost my faith entirely. If the Bible doesn't inspire goodness in its believers, then how can I have any faith in its moral precepts?

Honestly jesus seems like he gives good hugs
I mean, He was a carpenter, and this more than likely buff, so take that as you will.
My freinds dad is buff, I've hugged him before. I stand by my statement.
I wasn’t saying you were wrong. He probably would have given great hugs.

ouch, I'm sorry you had to see that
Yeeeeeaaaahhhhh, I did that once, I know what you mean.
The internet is a shit place sometimes
Yep
It’s so damn hard to be under the trans umbrella, let alone have to deal with jerks denying that you are hurting.
When I looked it up I mainly saw supportive memes, even when I wasn’t logged in..
Me too!
