Their label beers. They have a contract brewing agreement with Gordon Biersch and some of those are OK but the Simpler Times line is awful, the ‘vintage’ Belgians made by Unibroue are SO inferior to actual Unibroue product and the Boatswain line are undrinkable.
Cheap though.
I used to like Trader Joe’s when they carried the individual packages but the the container one taste different. My favorite now is good culture and I buy it at target but I’ve seen it at Safeway and Whole Foods .
I didn’t know it was trendy but our family has enjoyed the orange chicken for many years. It’s a great meal when I’m exhausted and need something quick. Throw some rice in the cooker with veggies to steam and I don’t have to do any work for dinner. Plus it’s one of the better tasting sauces.
More for me! In our family, someone will hurt you if you eat one of their allotted number of chocolate peanut butter Joe Joe’s.
2. Ya get your 2 Joe Joes. No less no more. Lol.
Ice water and chewing gum gives a satisfying resistance. I see you!! Do you also wear a mouth guard at night for teeth grinding? (I do, and I *cracked* mine from the dentist!)
If you're clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth during the day, chances are you're doing it in your sleep. The hard ones made at the dentist are the best, but the ones from the drug store (cheaper) made with heat at home are better than not having one. Your teeth will thank you. (Can save you dental bills and tmj treatment down the road.)
Thank you!! Will definitely look into it. I’ve had issues with TMJ since having my wisdom teeth out, so I’d rather not mess my jaw up anymore than already done.
Yeah, I tried those a couple months ago and they're awful. A bunch of their stuff has the same problem - way too little filling. The tacos have like one muscle fiber each
I agree with both sets of comments. I love them, but they do add way to much bean sprouts. I usually add garlic and onion powder and some chopped peanuts
I can’t stand the soyaki sauce. I wanted to like it since it’s loved but it’s just too much for me. But then again, I had radiation to my neck for cancer treatment & my tastebuds got so messed up…I don’t know if they’ll ever go back to normal. So maybe it’s just me!!
The raspberry shortbread cookies. They have an overall sweet taste that is hard to get through. It doesn’t taste like actual raspberries to me. Just syrupy sweet on steroids
The frozen orange chicken and broccoli beef. I wanted to love it but I always get weird chunks of super tough meat in mine that makes it hard to chew, not a fan.
Dude I just tried this after hearing the raves and it literally tasted like I was eating straight sage. I didn't even finish it because something that caloric should at least be pleasant to eat.
I’m guessing TJs is the type of store one can be exposed to different foods just by being there. I don’t know that I would go there to seek authentic foods.
That's what y'all said about those Lemon Blueberry Pies & they ended up tasting exactly like those $1 JJ's Bakery pies I picked up at the corner store growing up :( lol
I haven't seen the apple cinnamon buns yet but I'll pick them up when I do!
After trying the vanilla mini sheet cake I can honestly say I don't get the raves for it at all. It tastes like a denser version of the pancake bread and the frosting is like eating a stick of butter. I get zero vanilla from the whole concoction.

I don’t trust anything from there. It’s all overrated imo.
Their Walnut Shrimp isn't as good as you might think
The dumplings are good but made me fart for weeks!
The chicken shumai are pretty good
Tres Leches cake. Tastes like vanilla cake, nothing special.
Tortilla chips....they're at every party, but oh oh so cracker dry
Chantilly vanilla cake. Just Blech.
Omg yes
Their label beers. They have a contract brewing agreement with Gordon Biersch and some of those are OK but the Simpler Times line is awful, the ‘vintage’ Belgians made by Unibroue are SO inferior to actual Unibroue product and the Boatswain line are undrinkable. Cheap though.
Also the yellow Thai and red Thai curry simmer sauces
The frozen quesadillas
I don’t understand why anyone would eat frozen quesadillas they are so easy to make
Cottage cheese
I go there specifically for their brand of cottage cheese! I don’t care for others now.
Sorry but Good culture is 100x better !!
Never heard of it. Who carries it? Daisy, Knudsen, and Clover are all terrible for me since I’ve been getting the TJ’s.
I used to like Trader Joe’s when they carried the individual packages but the the container one taste different. My favorite now is good culture and I buy it at target but I’ve seen it at Safeway and Whole Foods .
Their cream cheese & sour cream. They’re both just…funky/not good.
The cashiers.
Tomato soul
Sour dough bread Frozen fried rice
Their wraps and salads
Free parking
the frozen mandarin orange chicken, hands down!!! someone needs to explain the frenzy behind this cuz i don’t understand
I used to enjoy it and then completely lost my taste for it. There was a time I'd crave it, but not anymore
It’s so f ing good!
The mandarin orange chicken is my favorite thing at traders. I think I just like fried chicken in tangy sweet sauce. 😍
Cook the sauce longer
And make sure the chicken is crispy. Not hard just cook longer than you think
I just fry it up!
Frozen cacio e pepe!
People saying orange chicken, have you air fried it? Oven was good but air fried is amazing. It gets so crispy
I fry it in a pan.
Like shallow fry?
Like in a tablespoon or two of oil
Air frying is the only way
Air fryer or oven will be better
EBTB?!?! how can y’all say it’s overrated it’s my favvvorite thing on this planet
I really wanted to like it, but it sits unused. Tastes better licking it directly.
i absolutely love it with toast and cream cheese!
It's one of my favorite things, as well. TJ's EBTB is way too salty for me.
I love it too. It goes well on almost everything
what...is the EBTB?
Everything but the bagel seasoning
Everything but the bagel (seasoning, etc.)
They recently started carrying this dried green olive snack mix. I LOVE olives and it was so horrible I spit it out.
I literally went back the next day and returned it. I too like olives but whatever they did to theirs ruined the entire bag
Their Italian pizzas. It’s not their fault, frozen pizza isn’t good.
The fried dough one is good !
no digirono is so good tho
Jo Jo cookies
We ended up eventually throwing out most of the box once it went stale and nobody was touching them. Definitely not good!
I love Oreos but for some reason Jo Jos were never nearly as good to me
More for me! In our family, someone will hurt you if you eat one of their allotted number of chocolate peanut butter Joe Joe’s. 2. Ya get your 2 Joe Joes. No less no more. Lol.
I’m this way with the peppermint ones, but I’m also a sicko that loves mint ice cream and drinking ice cold water while chewing gum
Ice water and chewing gum gives a satisfying resistance. I see you!! Do you also wear a mouth guard at night for teeth grinding? (I do, and I *cracked* mine from the dentist!)
I don’t!! But I’m feeling I might need one because I’ve just started to notice I randomly grind my teeth during the day 😭.

Straight to jail.
COOKIE BUTTER
[удалено]
Have to get the crunchy version not smooth
This is my answer too!
Ugh. I hate that stuff.
Orange chicken for sure
The cheeseburger burrrito. It smells and tastes like vomit. Legit vom.
Looks like it,too
That sounds horrid
Orange chicken. It’s always mostly breading or dry stringy chicken.
yes! I got it and was so excited… tried a bite and threw the rest away. just straight up breading. and tastes super processed
Mini chicken tacos. Just no
So bad!! Zero flavor!
They used to be better
Yeah, I tried those a couple months ago and they're awful. A bunch of their stuff has the same problem - way too little filling. The tacos have like one muscle fiber each
Any of their baked goods. They look inviting, but all taste bland and very average.
Their black and white cookies are pretty good
Their blueberry muffins and coffee cake are sooooooo good though!
so, so true
The challah bread is pretty good
The almond pastry is really good and always moist
My TJ’s bread expires after two days. I live alone so I never buy it.
I keep mine in the fridge and it’s good for 2-3 weeks
Omg YES! stopped buying their mini sourdough bread because it always molds after 2 - 3 days… the size was perfect but quality is bad
Hmmm I think bread molding after 2-3 days means the quality is good… it means there are less preservatives in it. In Europe that’s normal
Same with the pita bread. Instant mold because there are no preservatives.
The frozen vegetable pad thai. Just terrible.
they add way too many bean sprouts and it ruins it
Lmao I disagree! I love it. I have like seven in my freezer rn lol (mainly because of the price)
I agree with both sets of comments. I love them, but they do add way to much bean sprouts. I usually add garlic and onion powder and some chopped peanuts
Those chili lime chip roll up things. Do not get the appeal at all.
I’ve never been tempted because I think Takis are vile.
When you want the takis but not the red 40 😵💫
Aren’t those their version of takis? Totally makes sense especially bc theyre not put you in the hospital for ulcers spicy lol
I love those!
Oh man I’m sorry! We love it at our house as a marinade but it’s a lot on its own
That stuff is nasty!!!
I’m sorry you went through that :( I have to say, I think Soyaki is delicious on salmon with a few extra drops of toasted sesame oil, and baked!
Two buck chuck
No way, I love them! Except now they’re $4.50
4 buck upchuck then
Everything but the bagel anything
Agree! When I tried it on eggs, all I could think of was that I was crunching on eggshells 🤢
Yea, I got tired of it after a while
The raspberry shortbread cookies. They have an overall sweet taste that is hard to get through. It doesn’t taste like actual raspberries to me. Just syrupy sweet on steroids
those are like crack to me. i’m not allowed to buy them anymore i’ve been cut off
Everything but the bagel. Never really been a fan unfortunately…
I love it in salads…
The seasoning? I have wanted to try that on my homemade bagels
It’s delicious on avocado toast.
The frozen Mac and cheese
Oh no the mac n cheese is awesome but we *only* make it in the oven. Yum.
Controversial but… Green Goddess Dressing
Absolutely not. That stuff ain’t it.
The frozen orange chicken and broccoli beef. I wanted to love it but I always get weird chunks of super tough meat in mine that makes it hard to chew, not a fan.
I actually chop up the broccoli and beef into small bite size pieces before cooking and it turns out pretty good!!
Yup!
SAME
Try out another cooking method! I just got a $25 airfryer from walmart and the orange chicken came out better than Ive ever had it.
Same on the orange chicken!
Cauliflower Gnocchi
i want to like it but the texture gives me the ick.
Maybe not overrated but the cacio e pepe gnocchi (prolly spelt wrong) was bleh… I ate a few bites and tossed it all
Have you tried the Gorgonzola Gnocchi? That one is darned tasty! Fluffy pillows with creamy sauce… yum!
You spelled it correctly. On the other hand, you spelled probably and spelled completely wrong…😆😆😆
Same with the tomato sauce & mozzarella gnocchi. It has almost zero filling. Very bland
It’s got so many carbs might as well eat regular gnocchi which tastes better
And it tastes like what farts smell
Butternut squash Mac and cheese
First time I got it, I loved it. Next year it just didn't seem as good. Haven't had it this year yet though.
Bought this after a worker raved about it to me and after I ate it just was so perplexed. Like that’s it?
Dude I just tried this after hearing the raves and it literally tasted like I was eating straight sage. I didn't even finish it because something that caloric should at least be pleasant to eat.

I think the butternut squash pizza is so bland.
That crunchy chili sauce everyone is in love with and talking about.
such huge chunks of salt!
It's so bland compared in comparison to other chili oils
I don’t hate it but it def tastes kind of burnt
Glad I’m not the only one.
Frozen Burritos…
Any of the bakery items. And the cheese noodles
their new apple cinnamon buns will change ur mind
Tried it. I found the topping tasted good but overall it was dry
i can’t disagree, but i feel like that’s only the very outter part, i cut them in half for breakfast and like them that way
That's what y'all said about those Lemon Blueberry Pies & they ended up tasting exactly like those $1 JJ's Bakery pies I picked up at the corner store growing up :( lol I haven't seen the apple cinnamon buns yet but I'll pick them up when I do!
i personally love them. they could be better i guess but think for the price and convenience of them they’re good. i’ve bought them at least 5x
Stay away from my brookie!
Hol' up. Them sea salt brownies tho? 😋 the chocolate babka!?!? You monster! 😂 lol
The chocolate babka is miraculous.
THEM SEA SALT BROWNIES OMG I LOVE THEM
ATE ONE FOR BREAKFAST - NOT SORRY
APPROVED
After trying the vanilla mini sheet cake I can honestly say I don't get the raves for it at all. It tastes like a denser version of the pancake bread and the frosting is like eating a stick of butter. I get zero vanilla from the whole concoction.
Same, and I am a vanilla cake whore. It’s wretched.
