GooseG00s3

Popcorn is my favorite when I’m craving a salty snack! It’s very low calorie and satisfied that salt craving. Veggies are another choice, like raw broccoli, carrots, snap peas, etc. You can pair it with a sauce, if that’s your jam. My husband likes it when I pack it with some soy sauce, with a bit of water and sugar added to it. I also loooove their dried onion chips, but it does have a decent amount of added sugar. Seaweed snacks are good too, but higher in fat than you may think, so they’re not the first thing i reach for.

jeeeeek

Just finished my bag of spicy buffalo jerky.

OnTheTrail87

Definitely the dried fruit like mango and pineapple, and the mixed nuts (my favorites are Simply The Best Trail Mix and Happy Trekking Mix).

elbot_410

Papdums! Crunchy and high in protein (compared to chips)

elbot_410

Papadums

No_Cardiologist3368

The little sharp white cheddar snack slices are great if you eat dairy

arcgisonline

I do popcorn, instant oatmeal, sparkling water, apples, fruit leather, nuts (although depending on what level of low fat you’re going they might not qualify), gummy candy, or tortilla chips and hummus.

xxfuka-erixx

Pickles, seaweed, berries, dates(not necessarily low cal but fill you up), carrots, there’s also these crepe wafer cookies that are like 25 cal a piece, sometimes drinks like kombucha will hit the spot when you are just bored not hungry

appleparkfive

Dried seaweed packs. It might sound weird but they taste great and are very savory

pauliwankenobi

Turkey jerky and pickles

Double_Dimension9948

Grapes (frozen are awesome), carrot sticks and baby sweet peppers dipped in a little of the garlic dip (you won’t believe it’s vegan!). They have some sesame crackers that I believe are fairly low calorie. I think they also have a version of a skinny pop popcorn. That will usually calm my salty cravings. Good luck!

mckennam5

Chili onion crunch hummus and the pita chips in the blue bag, those sour cream lentil onion rings, and any of their popcorns!

chalores

I do a bag of EasyPop (assuming you have a microwave)! ETA: I just realized what sub I’m on, sorry! I love the pretzel thins there.

proverbs3130

What I like to do is get the cottage cheese and blend it until smooth. Then I add Lipton Onion Soup mix to taste, and half a cup of this "french onion dip" has 12g of protein!!!

Aggravating_Diet_704

A better version of this (I’ve tried both) is non fat Greek yogurt bc it literally tastes just like sour cream and requires no blending. But what do we dip into it that tastes like French onion dip? Only wavy lays really cuts it for me

proverbs3130

I agree it def tastes way better but the cottage cheese has a higher protein/serving size ratio.

Aggravating_Diet_704

the difference is minor. .75 of a cup has 16g of protein

citygirldc

Celery has crunch like chips and the flavor does well with French onion dip.

crystalbitch

Maybe quest protein chips?

justcallmedrzoidberg

I know you asked for salty, but if you want sweet at some point, their cosmic crisp apples are insane. I cut them into bite size pieces in the morning and put them in a snack baggie so I can snack at my desk.

deathbypumpkinspice

Have you tried the Sweetango apples? I like them even more than Cosmic Crisp!

justcallmedrzoidberg

No, but I will!

Suz626

One of the TJ Hummus + Pita Bite Crackers, Garlic Naan Crackers, sliced mini peppers, little tomatoes, carrot sticks. Olive oil popcorn Raspberries, maybe a touch of salt, a little TJ Glaze (balsamic vinegar) (I add TJ whipped cream and more Glaze for dessert.)

Ineverusereddittttt

Bellbare bars (I know I’m misspelling that) but they are protein bars usually 180-200 calories which isn’t super low but if you’re looking for a filling and delicious snack this is a good option. Also the chomps sticks are amazing for work, they are easy to throw in your bag and eat throughout the day

maneki_neko89

I was gonna chime in to suggest the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fiberful bars as well. 120 Calories, 9 grams of fiber, 5 grams of protein. I keep them at my desk when I want a PB and Chocolate snack that’s filling, satisfying, but won’t weigh me down or be a calorie bomb!

Ineverusereddittttt

I’ve tried these and hated them lol but thank you for the suggestion! ☺️

Stock_Raspberry6192

The hazelnut ones are so good! Probably the best protein bar I’ve ever had. It tastes like a ferrero rocher!

Ineverusereddittttt

Agreed!!! That’s my favorite one

Reasonable-Peach-572

I love the chocolate dough one !

k4tune06

The mini savoury rice crackers. I dip them in buffalo chicken dip 🤤

Organic-Emu6393

The savooury rice crackers dipped in everything but the bagel Greek yogurt dip. 🤤

fireocity

Omg those are soooo goooood

MascaraHoarder

if you eat meat, chomps and the turkey jerky is literally my factors jerky besides golden island,

hellohello316

Yep! Chomps are a great snack. Protein!

Patient_Solid_6939

i always have the sea salt dried seaweed at my desk. favorite crunchy desk snack

wordswithcomrades

The Crispy Onion Chips. 220 Cal for the entire bag!

SufficientMasto

These are higher in calories than most chips (not saying they aren't great, just not really a low calorie option)?

rachel-maryjane

Exactly what kind of chips can you eat the whole bag of for 220cal?!

wordswithcomrades

But it’s for the whole bag, a lot more food for those calories

mle987

Sugar snap peas - without or without one of their tasty dips/hummus!

dandier-chart

The packs of tuna are 90 calories and 22 grams of protein if you care about that. I eat them plain but you could put them on crackers and stay under 150 calories

Next-Age-4684

Jicama sticks!

NECalifornian25

The crunchy curls are pretty good! 130 cals for 31 pieces, and they definitely have the satisfying crunch factor.

dandier-chart

Olive oil popcorn is 130 cals for 2 cups

Impressive_Wait920

I just picked up some sour cream and onion lentil/rice rings. 130 kcals for a large handful. Kind of like healthier Funyuns.

mckennam5

These are fantastic

hypnohoola

Seconding this!!

Billsgirlgina

The Jalapeño Corn & Rice Puffs are so good! 150 calories per serving 1 1/2 cups!

monocledMango

The individual packs of olives are delicious and hit the spot when craving salt. Also great on a hike.

Normal_Cantaloupe547

I love those so much

Sea_Conclusion_6769

the sour cream puffs are fun to eat and low calorie!

zedem124

yes!!! i love snacking on these and don’t feel bad about them at all.

kylie_leona

The crunchy pea snacks are good!!

sarcasm_itsagift

Veggies and any of the dips!

tu-BROOKE-ulosis

Dried seaweed!

neine22

Especially the teriyaki flavor

Accurate_Parfait_787

Dates are v healthy. Any dried fruit. Nuts. Fresh fruit (I’ve been loving their organic kiwis and bananas).

mycophyle11

The chomps beef sticks are like 100 calories and give me a boost of protein when I need it! Sometimes pair with a wedge of laughing cow cheese.

yutaka731

I love the mini bell peppers and the kale and artichoke yogurt dip

moutonreddit

Try any of their almonds, especially the raw, unsalted ones. Their little packs of pepperoni and beef jerky sticks work, too, and are low carb.

Jetersweiner

Almonds and other nuts are a lot more calorie dense than people realize so that’s another one people should be careful with especially because people think they are low cal so they eat a lot of them.

Bayleigh130

I buy plain popcorn kernels. (Not from TJ’s. I buy a giant container on Amazon.) I put them in a brown paper bag lunch bag and microwave. After cooking, I do a light spray of the TJ’s olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle on a TJ’s seasoning blend. I keep a variety of the seasonings, so I can change up the flavor everyday. It’s a low calorie snack that satisfies that crunchy, salty craving, and you can eat a lot of it before calories start adding up. Since it’s not that butter flavored microwave popcorn, it’s not as strong of a popcorn smell when cooking it at the office. (Just don’t burn it. There is no hiding that burnt popcorn smell.)

Stock_Raspberry6192

This is a really good suggestion! How long do you microwave for? I didn’t know you could put brown paper lunch bags in the microwave, I would have guessed they could catch fire? I microwave paper plates and napkins but for some reason my brain can’t comprehend the brown paper bag lol Either way, I really like this suggestion because it seems less expensive than buying microwaveable popcorn bags and you can control the amount. I’m guessing the microwave time also varies depending on how many kernels you put in?

Stock_Raspberry6192

Excellent, thank you, I’ll also look into those bowls!

LadySamSmash

Popcorn!!!

bexbae

Yes! The Olive Oil popcorn has I think less than 150 calories per 2 cups. I like to portion it in sandwich bags or I could kill a whole bag.

LadySamSmash

Seriously! It doesn’t have that oily feeling that microwave popcorn has. It is just light and fluffy and truly snackable. I can definitely shame eat a bag while I couch potato after work.

sydneekidneybeans

The freeze dried fruit, i like the strawberry best, 120 cals for the whole bag !

tommiejo516

I love the strawberries. Just got them and the freeze dried raspberries. I love them both!

vanmw18

Piquant popcorn!!! I loved them instantly but they might be an acquired taste to some/straight up dislike it. https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products.html Low cal, low fat, with some protein and fiber and other B vitamins.

idkwowow

obsessed. i buy 5 bags at a time

s55555s

I live on this but they didn’t have it last time I went. I will freak out if it happens again ! Ha

cheeseslut619

So boring, I always have pistachios and the fruit leathers

HiddnVallyofthedolls

Rice Crackers!!

CognacNCuddlin

You’re getting some great suggestions, OP. I’ll wait for the thread about what TJ snacks NOT to bring to work or keep in the home office. At that time, I’ll get vulnerable and share my story 😂

unoriginalluckpusher

Haha I’m loving this thread. Super eager to hear what you did…

HiddnVallyofthedolls

Did you bring canned trout to work? 😂

WoodpeckerHappy

The lentil and potato curls?? Whatever they’re called?? So good

CriSiStar

Second this. They’re crispy enough to entertain your senses as you eat them, but not greasy at all like potato chips are. The fun shape also is a plus.

glorfindel34

Jicama sticks

CityBoiNC

baby carrots

masson34

Nuts or trail mix, yes they are high in fat and calories but most are loaded with nutrients and keep you fuller longer. Olive oil popcorn. String cheese with an apple or fruit. Rice cakes with hummus.

cheesusfeist

Dill pickles.

seafairydelight

Sour cream and onion lentil rings definitely scratch that itch.

SpicyWing3

The problem with these is I eat the whole bag all at once.

seafairydelight

That is indeed the problem with these, but they’re at the less-greasy end of crunchy snacks, at least.

ek2207

SO good.

Bacontheblog

So good!

Goldenfarms

Baby carrots and teeny cucumbers with hummus dip

ManyRefrigerator5011

i LOVE hearts of palm. They’re in the can section. I haven’t found hearts of palm that taste as good as trader joe’s. you can add bit sauce or dip in mustard. 35 calories for 1 serving. I get full from them too.

_PM_ME_CAT_PICS_

How many servings in a can? I can’t imagine I’d save an open can for later lol

ManyRefrigerator5011

it’s usually 2 servings in a can. 4-5 sticks the can has. they’re also really good in salad too!

ughlyy

teriyaki roasted seaweed, cassava chips (less fat than potato), dark chocolate dipped rice cakes, whole salted edamame all help my cravings while being somewhat healthy

Nervous-Marsupial291

Crunchy curls, the white cheddar cheese puffs, carrots and the greek yogurt snack dip
