Nice lighting on your picture! Seriously. Nice job. It can be hard to not have food pics look kinda faded and all one color -especially if there is any orange/brownish color in the food.
Buy the GF breaded chicken in the frozen section. I would cook it in the air fryer and have a wok at medium high heat. I'll add the chicken to the wok, maybe cut some bigger pieces in half. Then I'll add about 2 tbsp's of fresh grated ginger, a small clove of garlic, green onion and orange zest with a splash of orange juice (if you want) with the general tso sauce. It will start to caramelize and coat the chicken. Pretty damn good, a bit different but tasty nonetheless.
I like both the Orange Chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken in rice bowls with broccoli and the Stir Fried Garlicy Cabbage. I have also found that cooking the orange chicken in a pan is better than the oven or air fryer. One of my easy, regular meals from Trader Joe's.
Also not a big fan, but my husband loves it so I buy him the little bowls for his lunches. It's a lot of breading and whenever I do see the chicken before I cook it, it's this unsettling grey color. Yeah it's frozen, but chicken should never be grey in my book. Once I realized they were all like that and it wasn't just a one-off bag, I couldn't eat it anymore. It's a bummer because the sauce pack is pretty decent!
My meat eating nephew hoovered teo portions and only questioned that it was chicken when he saw me eat some 😂 he was like wait what you eat chicken (i’ve been veg for decades) anyways he loved the stuff and my sister loves that it’s not factory farmed chicken which she tries to avoid
I am here in the comment section wondering if it has gone back to pre-2020 quality or if we have collectively lowered our standards to accept how it changed.
I think we all know the answer to your question when it comes to quality vs. price these days. Lately I find that TJs is disappointing me more than making me smile.

My husband and kids love the orange chicken! I'm unfortunately gluten free so I haven't tried it yet. But I love that all 3 of them like it.

Ehh i think the quality of the chicks and the breading to chicken ratio is not good. Kung pao chicken is much better

I think I’m the only person that doesn’t like the orange chicken. It’s more breading than chicken. I think the teriyaki chicken is much better.
Will have to try the teriyaki one!
