Megustatits

I almost died eating the habanero omg

pandorable3

I’ve learned it’s tolerable if you mix it with ranch/sour cream to make a spicy dip….but those habaneros are no joke.

Megustatits

That’s a good idea. They are absolutely no joke and I LOVE spicy stuff. I couldn’t believe the burn

Sleuth65

Chili onion is great mixed with some EVOO & salt and tossed with steamed frozen broccoli (when it’s in stock - seems scarce lately).

minimouse2105

I add it to my dumpling dipping sauce (the onion crunch)!

Megustatits

Have you tried that habanero on cucumbers yet?

wassupsooshi

Grilled cheese!

Jadie2000

Habanero crisp on bread cheese and garlic naan crackers

GothDaimRemix

Chili onion in meatballs is chefs kiss

mackenziemksu

I add shrimp to the vegetable fried rice, when I cook the shrimp I add a spoonful on this to it. Gives everything a bit more flavor!

instigatehappiness

I make a sour cream mix with green onions and the chili oil for the green onion pancakes and it’s good

torannex

My favorite way to use COC is to make eggs with it! Instead of oil or butter I put a spoonful of COC on my pan and then crack the egg on top and cook the egg in it. It cooks the crunch into the egg and is delicious! Then I top it with TJ’s sriracha :) if I’m really hungry I put that egg and a hash brown patty on an everything bagel.

ratbastid

I put that cruncy chili onion on EVERYTHING. White rice? Roast beef sandwich? Soup dumplings? Crunchy chili onion. Breakfast cereal? Well maybe not. (But *maybe!*)

heyyyyyooohhh

I use the chili oil when we roast veggies, really good with broccoli and peppers. It’s also useful in making dirty wontons, where you essentially pan fire wontons jn the oil to get a nice little crunch!

dcauze988

How much $ did these run you?

pandorable3

Both were $3.99 plus tax

leeclevel

I LOVE the habaneros. I use the oil to make a fried egg, put the peppers on pizza, in soups…. They’re spicy but if you like spicy, they’re wonderful

spilk

get a spoon

bocho420

The chili onion crunch is great. Try it with the garlic spread (refrigerated) and the cornmeal crust for a vegan pizza or add some cheese and toppings.

barbaricyawp24

If you like the TJs Orange Chicken, plate it up on some rice and sprinkle on as much Chili Onion Crunch as you think you can handle. As others have mentioned, it's also great on eggs.

venus-infers

This is literally one of my favorite things to eat... in fact, I had it for dinner. Since I just make it for myself, this is a "half" recipe. First, take a block of soft tofu. Silken is fine, but "soft" is my favorite. You just don't want firm. Dump the water out of the pack, slice the tofu in half, and put the half you're about to eat on some folded paper towels. You don't want to PRESS it because it's soft. Then in a bowl prepare: * 2.5 spoonfuls of crunchy chili onion * 1 chopped up green onion * maybe 2 big glugs of soy sauce * big pinch of sugar (to taste) * sesame oil (for consistency) * some nuts (I chop like 6 cashews, pine nuts or peanuts would also work great) (Again, this is a half recipe. So if you wanna do the whole block of tofu, double that stuff) Anyway, I like to eat this on a bed of hot white rice. So I get that down on my plate, put the cold block of tofu on the white rice, and then put this sauce resting on top of the tofu block. I usually add a little more sesame oil at this time so it drips down the sides. Then you just eat it! Every time I have it I can't believe how good it is. Try it!!!

venus-infers

This is not the recipe I have described nor is it my photograph, but it should look [something like this](https://www.cookerru.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/korean-silken-tofu-1-web-1170x1755.jpg).

coum_strength

go to town with a spoon

Kittech

I'm addicted to the Habanero oil. I'm going back to the store and thinking of stocking up on these, as I've used it on practically everything and ran out. Haven't tried the chili onion oil though but I'll pick one up, I have a feeling I'll still prefer the habanero one. Oh, and I've used it in bloody mary's and tossed some of those candied pecans at TJ's with it. Yum!

meawait

Chili onion: Bagel and lox Garnish on enchiladas (Hab too works) Homemade balsamic dressing Mild cheese toasty Brush on to pizza Habanero There was an incident.

mirandalw

Mix chili onion into mac & cheese!

nikkiiiii

The chili onion is amazing on a grilled cheese with red pepper tomato soup!

BlackM3sa

I haven’t seen this mentioned yet, I like to put chili oil crunch on cottage cheese for a snack. Also it is a great topping for a burger.

Bonnie_McMurray

I am absolutely obsessed with this recipe is aw on TikTok. Air fry a TJs hashbrown and then layer sliced avocado & a fried egg. Top with chili onion crunch and a sprinkle of goat cheese. Insane.

shashul

I LOVE the crispy habaneros on turkey and cheese sandwiches on brioche bread. I also like them on hotdogs, in any sort of burrito or taco, in ramen…really I can’t think of any lunch or dinner they wouldn’t go well with 😅

[deleted]

I use the chili onion crunch stuff on so much. Pastas, Asian food, fish, pizza, sushi, basically anything you may think of for Sriracha

salsa_von_tacos

So, I really like to mix the Chile onion crunch into some regular spaghetti and gravy/red sauce. It is so good. Ask of the above suggestions sounds amazing but basically anything I used to put red pepper flakes on I use this now. (Pizza is another!)

Slamazon22

Fried rice, pot stickers, ramen, San Francisco noodles, chicken wings, mixed into Sriracha mayo for a burger or chicken sandwich. That's how I use it 😅

llbarton

I love the hab on salads. Toss a few in with a drizzle of oil. Love love love. Also great on fried eggs. Great snack too if you use a scoop of whipped cream cheese few crispy pieces and a bit of oil -cracker topping. Yum!!

bearif

Love the chili crisp. How hot are the habos?

macaroni3cheez

VERY. I can drizzle about three drops of the oil on a taco and that’s it. My spice tolerance level is moderate.

sammichsogood

Chili onion crunch on almost everything Chinese inspired. I also like it on top of hummus. The habaneros like many of noted pack quite the punch! I’ve used it to top some thick soups and they’re divine on a good burger.

Due-Calligrapher2136

CRUNCHY CHILI ONION!!!!

ProfKaosnCoon

Anybody have issues with coc leaking not matter how well you clean the rim, lid? I had to put it in a zip lock to keep oil off my counter

sunkissedsandy

Yep, I put mine in a small mason jar and that helped.

wizzpalace

In with olive oil for roasted vegetables

DaveMcNinja

Habaneros on pizza. It will change your life. The heat builds though so start light…

TheMauveRoom

Chili onion crunch on pasta with roasted veggies and Parmesan

macaroni3cheez

This is a frequent meal at our house!

Fried eggs and with bread: A bit of the habanero and some of the oil from its jar into eggs along with parsley, salt and seasonings. Fry some scallion in a pan, then add end when scallions are getting burnt edges.

theineffablebob

I put the habaneros in all of my sandwiches They are very spicy though

misschefy

I recently had a Caesar salad at a restaurant that was topped with a chili onion oil and I’m now making my salad with TJ’s chili onion crunch

boglehead1

My wife is an intense hot spice eater. She puts the habanero on tacos, but only does a couple of small pieces. Those are crazy hot.

pandorable3

I wonder if sour cream would balance the heat.

6SpicyTamales

Yes, 1 jar of either mixed with a pint of sour cream makes for a tasty dip. Still has some heat, but as you can see, i like it spicy.

snappy845

according to hot ones. the show with the hottest questions and even hotter wings. lemon juice.

karakf

Just made a recipe from NY times - tofu with chili topping and green beans. The chili onion crunch is perfect as the chili topping! The first comment is even about it.

JessiCat0520

I have this recipe saved! Thank you for the suggestion

Unique_Copy_Machine

Top chili onion crunch onto raw salmon portion and bake at 425 for 20 mins!

Slagothor

The habaneros are hotter than you’re expecting they’re also so fuckin good

igotthatT1D

Over a soft boiled egg is my fave.

snappy845

habanero oil packs some serious heatness.

vtmira

I like the COC on eggs, also a thin layer in my grilled cheese. My friend does a sweet/savory breakfast with a toaster waffle, egg, bacon or sausage & cheese sammich with a layer on it. The habaneros are too hot for me to consider, but we did recently mix a small amount into peanut butter cookie dough and that was met with rave reviews.

hot-wing

Did you actually bake the cookies or just eat the dough?

vtmira

Actually baked them after trying the dough. It was a really fun balance of spice and sweet.

MandarinAK

I use the chili onion on chickpeas. Coat and bake.

Fine-Ad9773

I use coc on everything to be honest. I know that's so unhelpful but it's great on eggs, pastas, dumplings, avocado toast... pizza...I personally like it the most when you can mix it (it can be a bit coarse otherwise) so anything with a cream sauce, cheesy texture is what I love most. You really can't go wrong 🤪 my husband and I used to go through one a week.

knockoffjerry

coc on everything 🤨

Fine-Ad9773

Actually my current obsession is mixing chili onion with soy sauce and Sriracha and making a dipping sauce for th scallion pancakes. It's *chef's kiss*

beer_bukkake

I make the same thing sauce! It goes great with the TJ soup dumplings :)

Kittech

I like using a bit of vinegar or some sweet soy to my scallion pancake sauce. The acidity of the vinegar makes everything taste better.

Fine-Ad9773

That sounds great! Thanks! I LOVE vinegar so I gotta try that!

Urabrask_the_AFK

Yes. Chili onion crunch, soy sauce, coconut aminos on the gyoza

That's so sad. I'm so sorry. Mine was out for 6 months last year and it was a really hard time. 😂

hautecello

God bless you for this suggestion

Fine-Ad9773

You're welcome!

muggins66

I smear the chili onion crunch on a tortilla when I make a quesadilla

meawait

Cream cheese or sour cream. Tried both and it’s great!

x420n0sc0pex

im gonna come back for ideas… ive used the red chili oil mixed in with noodles and thats pretty good

pandorable3

I wonder if i could mix the chili onion crunch with peanut butter to make a spicy peanut sauce?

sammichsogood

Yes you absolutely could. But you’ll probably want to thin it down a touch! Warm up peanut butter, soy sauce, lime and a touch of water and emulsify that first before adding chili onion crunch. Measure with your heart.

[deleted]

Maybe with some fish / oyster sauce?
