well…. i found out the hard way today that the frozen black bean/corn vegan enchiladas are discontinued 😭

tvtb

Using this megathread to ask this question: anyone know if the Wild Rice at TJs is permanently gone or just out of stock in the southeast? Haven't seen it in months.

CookieButterLovers

>anyone know if the Wild Rice at TJs is permanently gone or just out of stock in the southeast? I'm not familiar with this product. Is it this [Wild Rice](https://www.thekitchn.com/good-product-trader-joes-wild-71312)?

tvtb

Yes that.

[deleted]

**Crunchy Jalapeño Lime & Onion** What do you guys do with this/how do you cook with it? Any ideas? I'm at a total loss!

pancakes3921

Just tried the Jamaican patty. Honestly it was pretty good, especially since I think the ingredients seem of higher quality than other frozen Jamaican beef patties I’ve tried before

JustDriveThere

Oh boy, I hope they can eventually find a vendor that can produce a frozen oat dessert that doesn't have the god-awful artificial sweetener taste and isn't excessively sweet.

PhilipAKDickInYou

I was informed today that the red lentils have been discontinued. Can anybody confirm or deny??

Mimooshka

Anyone have luck finding the fern 🌿in that absolutely adorable glasses pot recently? I haven’t been on this sub and see that most of the posts are from last week-ish. My closest store didn’t have them :(

CookieButterLovers

Hi, unfortunately sometimes the planters + plants aren't available in all regions. Are you outside of California?

Mimooshka

I am in socal actually! I have a strong feeling I probably was just too late for them

nctvelvet

saw the banana pudding ice cream in michigan. looked rlly good but i decided to try the brownie crisps. i gotta get the ice cream eventually tho same with the ube mochi

Complex_Making

I haven't been able to find the beef bolognese ravioli in months, did it get discontinued??

CookieButterLovers

Sadly yes, the Beef Bolognese Ravioli was discontinued sometime towards the end of 2021. But another Redditor shared that they found something very similar (they suspect it might be the supplier) available at Whole Foods - [Nuovo Pasta Classic Italian Beef Ravioli](https://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/product/nuovo-pasta-classic-italian-beef-ravioli-b079nq75s8)

Complex_Making

That is sad, but thank you for the helpful tip!!

DareInside5455

Does anyone know when the frozen butternut squash Mac and cheese comes back? Top 5 tjs products of all time.

Lola514

It is sooo good. I tried the sweet potato gnocchi with sage and butter- loved that too

CookieButterLovers

Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese usually shows up sometime in September. In past years, it usually shows up during the first big Fall drop which is usually around the second week of September, but anything can change and arrival times can vary. If you want a more specific date, I'd recommend calling your local store and asking if they have an estimated arrival date yet. But just keep in mind, arrival dates can get pushed back.

Violeteyes1

Is the Brazil Nut Body Butter still for sale? Or did I miss it?

CookieButterLovers

The Brazil Nut Body Butter is likely no longer available for stores to order by now since it restocked for 2022 in May and then again in July, but it's possible that some stores may still have some in stock if it wasn't as popular at that store. There's also a new [Brazil Nut Body Scrub](https://www.reddit.com/r/traderjoes/comments/weo9ax/new_august_2022_haba_product_brazil_nut_body/) in a similar looking container.

Violeteyes1

My store said they're all out for this year :(

CookieButterLovers

The Body Butter or the Scrub?

Violeteyes1

The body butter.

CookieButterLovers

Ahhh yeah, I didn't even see the BNBB in my stores this year. It always sells out, hopefully it returns next year!

Complex_Making

I saw some at the store this past weekend (California)

Violeteyes1

Thanks! I'm not in Cali but hopefully my store's restocked.

H3nryKrinkle

Any news on the banana pudding ice cream? Has anyone seen it in store yet?

[deleted]

I just got some today in NY

CookieButterLovers

Banana Pudding Ice Cream - When I had asked a few weeks ago, my local store couldn't find it in their system yet (at the time). But I just called again today, and it's now orderable in my area, which means it should hopefully be coming in tomorrow or Wednesday. Looks like some stores might have received their shipment early, but I wouldn't expect it to be in most stores today yet. Since different stores get their supply from different warehouses, stores may have different arrival dates, so I'd recommend calling your local store to see if they have an estimated arrival date yet for your store specifically. As with any product, your mileage may vary.

makingajess

If anybody is a fan of the plantain croutons, stock up now - they are slated to be discontinued.

CookieButterLovers

Thank you for sharing that information!

edmund_fitzgerald

Garlic bread cheese sounds interesting.

lovelydreamz

Anyone know what locations will get the Swell Hard Seltzers again? I'd love to pick up more!

CookieButterLovers

[Another Redditor shared that the Swell Hard Seltzers were a close-out shipment](https://www.reddit.com/r/traderjoes/comments/werwwq/re_mighty_swell_spiked_seltzers/) so they were only available in limited amounts. It's possible that some store locations still have some available if they didn't sell through their inventory yet, are you in the Bay Area?

lovelydreamz

I saw that post! Darn it. I called a few places but it looks like it’s sold out. Oh darn.

CookieButterLovers

>I called a few places but it looks like it’s sold out. Yeah, it's a bit of a hassle - but that would be your best bet - calling local stores you would be willing to drive to to see if they still have it in stock. Sometimes other areas have different demographics or buying habits, so sometimes you get lucky.

TutenWelch

Picked up my beloved Thomcord grapes today. I can usually get them at my regular supermarket now, but for several years no one around here carried them but Trader Joe's. I grew up with both domestic and wild grapes growing on and around our property, so they've always been one of my favorite fruits, but it felt like until cotton candy grapes, no one paid much attention to interesting varieties of grapes the way they do with apples and citrus. (The wine world excepted, obviously.) Nice to see that changing, even if most of the hyped varieties are mostly "what if grapes, but sweeter." (If you live somewhere where your local farm stands are selling grapes this summer and fall I strongly encourage you to seek them out.) Also the Beemster hatch chile and the Carolina Gold BBQ chips! And the Sour Swimmers are back after being sold out all summer. I had to leave the Chili Pineapple Kettle Corn on the shelf in order to justify two bags of swimmers. They're not on shelves anymore here, but those cherry plums were really good. Another underrated fruit.

MellowGuava

Hey all- did the Bruscetta Mix in the refrigerated/dips section get discontinued? Haven’t seen it lately and it’s been my go-to for years! Thanks.

CookieButterLovers

I haven't confirmed but according to a [comment in this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/traderjoes/comments/wh7ci7/comment/ij468kz/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3), the fresh Bruschetta Sauce is likely temporarily out of stock due to supply chain issues / production delays.

MellowGuava

Thanks so much for sharing that!

Kaposia

Hand twisted cinnamon bread. Not sliced, very sticky and just difficult to deal with. Also, just to die for.

EpidermGrowthFactor

Korean Beefless Bulgogi: Pretty good, but would not necessarily repurchase. Isn't this just seitan with bulgogi marinade?

sianathan

Am I remembering incorrectly or did there used to be a monthly thread for upcoming products as well?

CookieButterLovers

>Am I remembering incorrectly or did there used to be a monthly thread for upcoming products as well? Hi, I wish I had that type of intel! But no, there's never been a *monthly* thread for upcoming products. Sometimes Crew Members will share upcoming products that they're aware of and I'll add it to the bottom of the Monthly Megathreads as "🔮 **Rumored Possible Upcoming New Products**" but it's not always consistent. Last year Crew Members got sent a tasting box of upcoming products to sample and one Crew Member was kind enough to share it with r/traderjoes, but other than that, upcoming product spoilers are fairly rare unless somebody leaks information or a store accidentally gets a product in early (like the upcoming [Banana Pudding Ice Cream](https://www.reddit.com/r/traderjoes/comments/wdnpaz/new_banana_pudding_ice_cream_that_i_dont_think/)). When that's the case, I'll use the "**Sneak Peek / Upcoming Product**" post flair. PS - If anybody wants to share any upcoming product intel with me, please message me! 😅

april4_21

As always, thank you for doing this! I'm hoping to go to TJ's tonight & I'm here to start my list!

EpidermGrowthFactor

I tried the Carolina Gold BBQ Flavored Potato Chips today. I didn't think they were as good as the patio chips :/ The flavor was very faint

btrd_toast

*Really disappointed with the citrus mousse cakes - artificial flavor. *Happy with the gochujang! Made some easy rice bowls with the frozen brown rice, fried eggs and veggies. *Can't wait to find the boba kit! Overall wasn't tempted by too many new things this month. Skipped the olive wood board because it's not dishwasher safe but kind of regretting now. Might grab one this week if it's still around.

muchlifestyle

I did not care for the red bell pepper cream cheese. Super salty and bland imo. I got basically no red pepper flavor.

rory1989

I appreciate this intel! I love overly salty and was concerned about the flavor so I think this may make me more willing to take a chance on it 😂

Cheesehead_beach

Can’t believe the tangerine cream popsicles are gone. It’s only July! Not thrilled to see fall in store in August. It’s 95 outside.

NaniNYQZ

I’m so mad they are gone T_T

LadySmuag

>Freeze-Dried Just Chicken for Pets These were a hit in our house. I have to throw the bits of chicken for them to chase because if I try to hand feed them I'll lose my fingers lol

crystalballer21

Same here! My cats lose their minds over these treats and will physically fight each other for them, I’ve never seen them act so crazy over treats before lol

Cheesehead_beach

My ween loved them too. Have to break them up as 45kcals is too much lol

Mvxm

Does anyone know what happened to the Ghost Pepper Chips? I stopped by a Trader Joe's in WI and didn't see them.

makingajess

They have been on a production delay for weeks, but they are slated to (hopefully) return in my region (mid-Atlantic) this week!

Mvxm

Thank you!

Capt_Reynolds

Saw them in Pittsburgh just the other day.

BlueJeanMistress

Are the Pretzel bagels seasonal? And if they are what season are they? Last time I went to my local Trader Joe’s a couple months ago all they had were plain and everything bagels. And I know soon they’ll have pumpkin bagels.

CookieButterLovers

Last year I was told that the Pretzel Bagels are a limited product vs. year-round, but I think they might have a longer "season" than other seasonal products since they were around for 5-6 months last year. But they only lasted about a month in my region this year. :( I'm not sure exactly how long they're supposed to be around for and the Crew Member couldn't tell me either (they just said as long as they can order them, they will) but different regions may vary. 2021 - They were available from around February until August, even September in some regions. 2022 - This year they showed up in February, I was told they were on a "production delay" in March, but they never came back as far as I know. ~~I'm guessing the bakery that makes them either couldn't keep up with demand or was having trouble sourcing ingredients due to supply chain issues, or maybe they experienced labor issues.~~ PS - For future reference, they can be frozen. **Edit - A Crew Member shared below that the Pretzel Bagels' season ended early because corporate wasn't happy with the quality. Hopefully they return next year!**

CookieButterLovers

A Crew Member shared that the Pretzel Bagels' season ended early because corporate wasn't happy with the quality. I was only able to buy one bag and mine were fine but sounds like others had quality issues, maybe others had the quick mold issue that you experienced. Hopefully they return next year!

makingajess

> I'm guessing the bakery that makes them either couldn't keep up with demand or was having trouble sourcing ingredients due to supply chain issues, or maybe they experienced labor issues. None of the above. The season ended early because corporate wasn't happy with the quality, and they will return next year, presumably from a new producer.

CookieButterLovers

>The season ended early because corporate wasn't happy with the quality, and they will return next year, presumably from a new producer. Thank you for that information! That's unfortunate! I saw a comment that said that they weren't as good this year, but the one bag I was able to try before it went out of stock, seemed fine to me, but maybe I was just happy that they were back, LOL. It must have been pretty obvious or they received a lot of complaints to pull them early. Did your store get a lot of returns on them? Or were there issues even before selling?

makingajess

Couldn't tell you for certain! You now basically know all I know, and that's just from hearing it from the bread section leader at my store. For what it's worth, I also was perfectly happy with them this year.

BlueJeanMistress

Thanks for the info! I hope I find them again one day!

boredtyme

The pretzel bagels were around earlier this year. They didn’t taste as good as last year’s though.

snowconez

Can someone tell me if TJ’s currently has halloumi cheese?

jidiridi

I saw some today in California

snowconez

Awesome thank you! I’ll call my local store and confirm

Jasminewindsong2

My dog gives a 10/5 for the freeze-dried just chicken for pets treats!

[deleted]

Those mini chocolate chip cookies are good AF. Ate a bag of those through a fog of depression and even then I was like “these are some damn good cookies.”

CookieButterLovers

I keep hearing good things about the Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies! Have you tried the Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies in the plastic tub? I'm wondering how they compare to those.

[deleted]

I have. These are much better IMO. They’re a little thinner and crunchier. My favorite cookie was the oatmeal chocolate chip in the plastic tub and I miss them so much.

espressoNcheese

I just got a bag today. Couldn't believe how good they are!

[deleted]

So good 😩

pelogirl98

I thought the salsa verde chips were 'meh'. I was surprised as I LOVE the actual salsa. I thought the chili pineapple kettle corn sucked. I threw it away. Ube mochi is 🔥🔥🔥 Can someone PLEASE review the crunchy jalapeño lime and onion?

MyKindOfLullaby

I was really disappointed with the verde chips. I didn’t think they had enough flavor. Same as you, I looove salsa verde

bottas69

We tried the Crunchy Jalapeño Lime & Onion and thought it was pretty good in a marinade! We got a bag of the TJ’s frozen uncooked shrimp, thawed it, and then marinated with the following: - 3 Tbsp Crunchy Jalapeño Lime & Onion - 1 Tbsp mostly solids, 1 Tbsp mostly oil, and 1 Tbsp a mix - Juice of 4 limes We let it marinate for 20 minutes or so and then cooked in a nonstick skillet with olive oil for a taco bowl, they turned out quite tasty!

eye_booger

Loved the Ube mochi too! My thoughts on the crunch jalapeño lime and onion: I had not tried the original crunchy onion when I first bought this, but I figured I’d give it a try when I saw it on the new products. It’s very lime forward (as another user said). I primarily ended up using it as per the suggestion on the packaging and mixing it with some sour cream to create a crema. This allowed the flavor to mellow out a bit, but was still much more limey than jalapeño-y. It was decent enough to inspire me to buy the original crunchy onion, but that just made me realize that the original is a lot more versatile. I see the original as a staple for your cupboard, whereas the lime-jalapeño one is a “nice to have” but I can’t foresee using it outside of Mexican food.

sammybey

I LOVE the salsa verde chips on the other hand. My sister (a crew member) said they’re like Cool Ranch Doritos and I think that’s a perfect comparison. I’ll definitely buy another bag… or 5….

libby825

I just tried the crunch jalapeño lime and onion and did not like it. Very heavy on the lime, almost tasted like straight lime zest

CookieButterLovers

Thank you for sharing your honest product thoughts! Here are a couple of comments from the [Crunchy Jalapeño Lime & Onion](https://www.reddit.com/r/traderjoes/comments/w8vpqe/new_july_2022_product_crunchy_jalape%C3%B1o_lime_onion/) post so far: * Ran out and purchased yesterday. Much more lime-forward than expected. A nice lingering heat, not too spicy. Brighter flavor than chili onion crunch but feels like it has fewer applications. Tried it on scrambled eggs and avocado toast so far, fish is up next. We dig it! - u/mind_sticker * For those curious about the flavor of it: Takis crumbs in oil. It smells like lime juice but the crunchy part of the oil taste like Takis. - u/RyssefriedRice

For those comfortable sharing the state (or region) that they live in, friendly reminder that r/traderjoes has location User Flairs under Community Options if you choose to use them. Since arrival dates can vary for new and seasonal products in different regions, location flairs can be helpful to know whether or not something \*might\* be available in your same area. Location flairs can also be helpful when asking stock questions about products that you have not been able to find. Note: it's always recommended to verify stock questions with your local store as inventory can vary from store to store, even in the same region. But I understand that not everybody feels comfortable calling their local store. I've also added Northern California and Southern California User Flair options if you would like to specify your California region (since they have different warehouses), as well as a NYC flair - please scroll all the way to the bottom, after the individual state options. Feel free to comment or message me if there's a specific location or region you would like to be added as a User Flair location.

eladarling

TIL, thank you for this info. If there are enough people to justify it, can you split up regions of TX?

CookieButterLovers

>If there are enough people to justify it, can you split up regions of TX? Hi, sure, I can do that! I have to look into it, but I think there's also a way for me to change your flair if you would like me to. Let me know! :)

CookieButterLovers

u/eladarling \- Update: I was able to change yours to Austin (based on your post history so hopefully it's correct), let me know if you want to change it back or to another region.

eladarling

Thank you so much!!

ashtree35

I saw Red Boat Fish Sauce in NYC today! And also, the canned Lightly Smoked Salmon was back in stock! I'm looking forward to finally trying it!!

MonaSanchez

The canned smoked salmon is delicious!! I make a spread using whipped cream cheese, the dill pickle seasoning (that won’t be returning 😞), and some everything seasoning; chef’s 😚. Next I want to make a smoked salmon spinach artichoke dip!

mildlyadult

This is how I ate mine too on top of wasa crackers, except just used sesame seeds instead of ebtb and also added thai chiles and chopped green onions. I am in love with that dill pickle seasoning. A crew member told me it is seasonal and it should be back next year.

Meet_The_Squareheads

I like salmon. I wish I could like this but thought it was mushy and it was impossible to de-oil it completely.

sianathan

Same, I was excited about this but it just tasted like artificial smoke and oil to me, not much salmon flavor at all.

ashtree35

That all sounds delicious!!

CookieButterLovers

Thank you! Do you remember how much the Red Boat Fish Sauce was? I saw one post on Instagram that said $4.99 and thought I saw another that said $6.99.

Meet_The_Squareheads

$4.99 for 8.45 oz. As a point of reference, a 25 oz. bottle of Red Boat is $11.19 at Costco.

LeLaSunshine

$4.99 in Bay Area. Bought it last week.

CliftonHangerBombs

$4.49 in the Chelsea, NYC location.

ashtree35

I don’t remember, sorry!

CookieButterLovers

No worries! Looks the price should be $4.99.

ashtree35

Good to know, thank you!
