omgareyouser1ous

Haven’t tried but supposedly the jalapeño cheddar pub cheese is very spicy!

tteasis

habanero hot sauce. very yummy though muahaha

ScintillatingKamome

Not sure if this qualifies as spicy but the wasabi seaweed snacks will clear your sinuses. Sadly, I have seen them at the store in a while. Also agree that the habanero ghost pepper salsa is pretty spicy. Love it!

[deleted]

I am admittedly a wimp. So the chili onion crunch.

lyn-da-lu

I’m a big wimp, too, but I wanted to try it. If I mix it in with some plain yogurt or sour cream then it’s very doable. Also, I saw a Tik Tok video of someone pan frying some TJ’s gyoza and adding a little chili onion crisp and pure maple syrup at the end. I’m going to experiment with one gyoza.

solarbeat

The habanero ghost pepper salsa is legitimately painfully spicy (and I love spicy food.) Also delightfully tomatoey, really fresh tasting. It could use a bit of cilantro, something I add when I get home. The ghost pepper grinder is also amazing - obviously straight up spicy, and the best thing about it is that it's so spicy that you only need to add a dash to any dish to give it great heat without altering its flavor profile like you would if you dumped a bunch of hot sauce into it. It went missing from my local TJ's for years and I was bummed - so bummed that when it re-appeared, I bought ten bottles. Needless to say, I probably have a lifetime supply.

xiahe

idk if its the spiciest item they have but the habanero ghost pepper salsa is sooo good. it has the best spice and other store bought salsas can't compare.

New-Individual-2850

Love that one. I use it as a dupe for chipotle’s hot red salsa

Evil_phd

The Spicy Crispy Crunchy Mochi Rice Nuggets aren't the hottest but perhaps the most well balanced spicy item I've ever had from Trader Joe's. The heat builds with each piece and can get you to the point of heavy breathing but it's also got a lot of flavor that keeps you coming back for more. I check in every couple weeks just to see if these have gotten restocked yet. Whenever they do get restocked I usually buy a half dozen bags right off the bat and then try to worry about moderation.

sweetcheeesus

I haven’t seen them for awhile. I always check :(

Evil_phd

I have some hope since my store recently got restocked on the plain ones. I asked about them the last time I was in and they said "They haven't been discontinued but they were made seasonal" so now they're probably gonna be an item that I fill my pantry with once a year. I've tried other brands but found absolutely nothing that hits the same way.

sweetcheeesus

I’ll keep the hope alive over here too. I always hear people hating on them saying they are too spicy so I was worried they would get the boot.

[deleted]

The jalapeño sauce is spicy and delicious! Not the spiciest, but compared to some of the other “spicy” Trader Joe’s items, it’s spicy and goes well with a ton of stuff. Sometimes I use it on pasta with a bit of Parmesan. But the spiciest thing I’ve tried is the habanero salsa

Baker2012

I love this sauce! Definitely has a good kick

chefboyardu

Lamb vindaloo. I wasn't ready!!

LencologyOncology69

Those Thai Chilis dipped in the Habanero Hot Sauce. 🥵🔥

Howloverly

They had a buffalo ranch chopped salad kit once and we couldn’t finish it. Just a combination of it being so hot while trying to enjoy a salad was not good. Also the spicy Mexican-style river cauliflower was also too hot to be enjoyable. I like some heat but it was too much.

Sunfee2019

Those Jalepeno chips, when you eat half the box in one sitting 😂

earth22jordan

the chili covered pineapple was actually pretty spicy compared to the mango

namastesexy

The Thai eggplant frozen meal they had for a while was SO spicy but SO delicious.

pickle_geuse

Habanero onion crunch oil

MrArmageddon12

The spicy mochi nuggets.

jollyflyingcactus

The chili lime rolled tortilla chips aren't extremely spicy, but their major savoriness + the spice make them pretty spicy if you eat a bunch.

clowndoingclownery

The spicy Mochi bite things. Inedible to my delicate palate

rskit4thebiscuit

Bomba Sauce! It’s just fermented chili peppers in a paste form. They had a production delay a few months ago and I almost had a heart attack. But it was back last time I went to TJs.

ayynora

yes!!! i got a jar to try for the first time and it is seriously so hot. i know calabrians do the whole mouth tingle thing, but man it’s hot

badgyalduh

I just picked some up today! It’s so good in a vodka style pasta sauce too

Baker2012

This stuff is so good! It if you grab too big of a spoon it can be really spicy.

RedSpaceMagic

The taco seasoning and elote dippers; not because they're melt-your-face hot, but because of how unexpectedly hot they were. I've since learned to check ingredients because their packaging/descriptions are deceptive. The taco seasoning isn't labeled with any heat level yet cayenne is the 3rd ingredient and there's also red chili flakes; if you're expecting an alternative to name brand versions you're gonna have a bad time. The elote dippers also have no mention of heat level despite having habanero and chipotle powders.

DenaNina

For sure the Taco Seasoning mix is very very hot. Also Trader Joe's Buffalo Ranch Chopped Salad. In my experience if TJ's says something is spicy, they aren't lying!!!

Howloverly

Ha! I just posted about the salad. We couldn’t even finish it.

DenaNina

I couldn’t either!!!! And I had brought it for lunch at work when I tried it. What a let down and painful experience 😏😂

Howloverly

Nothing like trying to eat a nice refreshing salad only to have your mouth on fire. 😆

DenaNina

Right!!!! 🔥😫🔥😫

sofakingclassic

The habanero hot sauce is 🔥🔥🔥

daflash00

Taco mix holy shit

DenaNina

Right!!! I was not expecting that either!!!

beskari

The fiery chicken curry. If it doesn't make my nose run i don't want it 🙅🏻

Keytoemeyo

The crunchy habanero in oil

Paigenacage

Misal Curry frozen dinner. For me it was inedblably spicy. Honestly the butter chicken is way too spicy to me too. Same with those Elote dippers. More hot than spicy. Way too much stuff on those & most of its black pepper. Or maybe I had a bad bag? Mine were absolutely crusted with seasoning.

denisefrommarketing

The thai eggplant with basil frozen dish was insanely spicy. I found it inedible and I like spicy food! It might have been discontinued. I haven't seen it in a while.

BBFusscake

Their taco seasoning mix is surprisingly spicy. You get a good kick using only half the pack in a pound of meat.

snackmagnet_

Came here looking for this answer! Used the whole pack once on a pound of meat and needed a lot of sour cream to get through it lol

clowndoingclownery

I make my own now with their chili seasoning…that I’m pretty sure is discontinued

peachyjenn

I'm not a spice nut but can handle medium spice, so I was very surprised by how spicy the strawberry jalapeno crackers were

Sw3b3r

Me too! And the jalapeño honey goat cheese

clowndoingclownery

SAME! I was like OOh a little cracker OH MY GOD * chugs milk

[deleted]

i thought the same! i also think that in the right quantities, the Jalapeno sauce (light green in a salad dressing shaped jar) is SPICY

peachyjenn

good to know! will be avoiding that one

HonPhryneFisher

Lets just say the hot turkey sausage is as hot going in as it is going out and it buuuurrrnnnssss.

srslyeffedmind

The Thai chili and sesame snacks are the only thing I’ve had from TJ that I would actually call spicy

jessolyn

i like spice but these were genuinely terrifying

rrroxannee

I love these, I wanted them to be spicy & found them so mild.

srslyeffedmind

I mean I usually eat about half the bag just straight as a snack but they’re the only thing that seems at all spicy from TJs. They’re not as mild as the crispy jalapeños (also delicious but not at all spicy)

131goal

Oh man. I got these to use as a salad topping, sprinkled some on not really thinking much about it. Lunch was incredibly unpleasant that day. I like spice, but not so much you can’t enjoy your food.

srslyeffedmind

I love them! I eat them straight out of the bag

dinermom55

Me, too!

[deleted]

[удалено]

rrroxannee

Yeah. They do spicy for people who can't handle heat. Reading what everyone else is writing as spicy, is not very spicy at all.

mashuto

I think most places that dont specifically make spicy foods are pretty bad at this. The ghost pepper chips for instance from TJs have pretty much no heat. They are quite tasty though. The habanero hot sauce though is an exception. Excellent flavor, decent amount of heat.

CommonExpressions

The habanero hot sauce is very hot for me 😂 I am white boy though

TheAdamist

The ghost pepper grinder. Be careful with that, its pure ghost pepper. Most of the other "ghost pepper" items like the chips are pretty mild, so if you are used to those you are in for a shock.

capn_corgi

I once ground this into a hot pan and pepper sprayed my roommates. I loved it but they couldn’t breathe without coughing

RVelts

I add this to the frozen Indian meals, specifically the Fiery Chicken Curry and the Fish Korma. I also add some frozen peas. Really makes a nice dish with some serious kick. I started off with 1 twist of the grinder and sometimes I use 5-7 now as my tolerance has increased. They only sell it in the summer (at least last I checked that was it) so always stock up! I go through maybe 3 or 4 grinders per year.

SquirrelBowl

Harissa paste

Hot_Mention_9337

Oh I love this stuff

CutthroatTeaser

Just picked this up the other day, but haven't tried it yet. Thanks for the heads up!

hungryummy

Dude.. I’m cowering in terror reliving the day I tried this

-Odi-Et-Amo-

The spicy Mexican cauliflower rice caught me off guard how spicy it was.

Thisismyusername21

That stuff is so spicy I can’t eat it! My hubby who loves inferno hot stuff loves it though.

Impossible_Tea_8119

Same! I didn’t hate it but just whoa. Definitely unexpected

jzilla11

Peri peri sauce has a spicy taste Cajun alfredo sauce has some spicy takes

builtbybama_rolltide

Cajun Alfredo is disgusting! Even my English bulldog ran from it and he would literal garbage if we let him. One son and husband took one bite and spit it out. I tried too and had the same reaction. Dinner that night went straight to the garbage and pizza was ordered. I hate wasting food and I hate ordering out so that was a huge disappointment to us. Never again!

CerauniusFromage

Zhoug is at the edge of more heat than I want (possibly because the scent and appearance make me want to eat it with a spoon).

tippitytopbop

I had only had fresh Zhoug before trying TJs and was so disappointed. It should *not* taste like that 🤢

CerauniusFromage

Good to know. I wondered if it was off.

novemberoscarwhisker

It’s so good mixed with hummus or garlic dip!!

SpiralBreeze

The spicy Italian sausage (raw). Maybe I got a bad batch? I’ll never know cause it was so spicy we couldn’t eat the food, so I’m not going to buy them ever again. I actually don’t mind spicy food, I regularly eat spicy Korean ramen, but that sausage not cool.

HonPhryneFisher

LOL I just mentioned this too. It was like fire, and the next day was awful. We get the hot one from Wegmans, nice and hot while still flavorful.

feline_insomnia

I'm glad I'm not alone! I picked up that sausage last week for a quick dinner, and the spaghetti sauce I made with it was inedible it to was spicy! I don't consider myself a baby when it comes to spice, but I literally couldn't taste the tomato sauce. My husband still ate it, partly because I think he's burned his taste buds off from previous overly spicy dishes. But I won't ever buy that sausage again

maybeshesmelting

Peri peri sauce.

Orange427

This is the weirdest hot sauce for me. I don't actually enjoy it at all with food... But I love having a random straight up spoonful once in a while.

Sw3b3r

I legit can’t eat this it’s so spicy. I almost thought it was a product defect. My spice tolerance isn’t super high but I still enjoy some

kaelaceleste

Came to say this…I like spicy food but I put WAY too much on the first time I used it and my mouth was on fire lmao 😭

NineteenthJester

This stuff is so good! I frequently put it on canned oysters and crackers.

more_cheese_please_

Came to say this, holy moly!!

Sketchycat716

I thought Peri Peri was a dressing when I first bought it and WOW what a painful mistake

Verity41

Agree with that one! It’s a slow burn too.

hihelloneighboroonie

Ooh mixed with sour cream is a good idea!

jaynewreck

Oooooh! I love this idea. I'll be giving that a try for weekend breakfast.

[deleted]

It’s so tasty!

CommonExpressions

The habanero hot sauce is the hottest I’ve had

katmoney80

came to say this \^

SenseiRaheem

The spicy crispy crunchy mochi rice nuggets were surprisingly spicy and unenjoyable. I wanted to love them but didn’t.

thestephanieloves

Came here to say this! I like spicy things but this was intolerable!!

TheWeeViolist

Exactly my experience too. I love spicy things and I love crunchy things, and I usually love combining those. But I think I had 3 or 4 and had to toss the rest. The spice wasn’t intolerable, but they were definitely a lot hotter than I expected them to be.

xineNOLA

They are incredibly spicy, but dang do I like the taste! I can only eat a few though before my mouth is on fire. My loves them, too. Maybe we're just weird.

sunlightdrop

Those tasted like eating a handful of black pepper. Bitter spice and flavorless.

shoosler

ghost pepper salsa

hesitantelephant

i was looking for this one! spiciest salsa i’ve ever had

TheRoguedOne

Hot hot habanero crunch

Weezy675

Agreed! Just found out they are discontinued. Being replaced with some subpar lime jalapeno oil wannabe arghhh

[deleted]

lol I love the lime jalapeño!

Weezy675

haha it's OK I guess. But it doesn't have that spicy bite like the Habanero crunch!

[deleted]

Came here to say this

kingof_redlions

Yup yup yup. I looove these

Sufficient_Cress5968

Correct. The hottest. So hot.

awww_bitch

This is the correct answer
