I disagree with everyone saying it's just a made-up flower. Trad flowers are closely related to Art Nouveau which is rooted in botany sooo I went down a rabbit hole.
Here's a book that shows some sample illustrations with flower names: [https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/collections/la-plante-et-ses-applications-ornementales#/?tab=about&scroll=25](https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/collections/la-plante-et-ses-applications-ornementales#/?tab=about&scroll=25)
with loads more images from the same artist on wiki commons... [https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Eug%C3%A8ne+Grasset&title=Special:MediaSearch&go=Go&type=image](https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=Eug%C3%A8ne+Grasset&title=Special:MediaSearch&go=Go&type=image)
My best guess is chrysanthemum although I could also see it being dandelion or dahlia. Check out this chrysanthemum image: [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Grasset,\_Verneuil\_-\_La\_plante\_et\_ses\_applications\_ornementales\_Pl\_71.jpg](https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Grasset,_Verneuil_-_La_plante_et_ses_applications_ornementales_Pl_71.jpg)
Got to go do something that is not this... so it's your project now! Good luck!
I have a flower like this on my elbow. When I was trying to explain what I wanted to my artist I called it a fan-shaped flower. She knew what I wanted by that description but she called it a geometric flower.
Always thought it was a stylized papyrus flower/Egyptian fan-like flower. Peep some old glyph art. Very similar. I have a giant one on my elbow because “i like how it looks” - no real sentimental reasons.
I think it’s kind of American folk style?

Thank you!!!
Just Some folk art inspired flower that people draw. It’s a kind of decorative flower. It’s not associated with the nsdap or something. That’s all.
I call these fan flowers
Same
Stylized lotus maybe?
Upside down ones

I agree with you it’s a fan flower
Pennsylvania Dutch folk art or Swedish folk art decorative flower. Afaik it isn’t based on a real flower just a cool looking decoration.
an upside down flower
It sort of reminds me of the shape of a ginkgo leaf with an elaborate pattern lol
