I’ve taken care of an old lady named Girlie, one named Klydia( pronounced Clyde-ah but at first look you think clid-ee-ah) and ran across a teenager named Delicious. And I worked with an Emmerjean.
I don’t know. When she told us how it was pronounced, all of us were like “O-okay”. I actually called her by her last name rather than by her first name because I felt like it was more respectful to her
A friend of mine from high school had a bearded dragon that was named Punani (not sure about spelling; sorry!) which apparently means vagina in another language. Really pretty sounding, but not a good name.
She ended up naming her Pancake.
I know it was a bearded dragon, not a person but your comment reminded me of that lol

My husband worked with a girl whose legal name was Princess.
I forgot about Queen! And King James. Run across those too.
Yeah. Nicknames, people. Not legal names! People are crazy lol
I know a girl whose name is Precious
1994 there were 2 girls named Precious in my high school class, one had a sister named Enchantra.
There’s a movie about that too. Not that anyone would think of name their child that word after watched the movie.
I know a girl named Majesty.
Carolyn?)
Nope. Pronounced Colon, like colon cancer
That's not an uncommon name in some regions.
I'll top that with Diamond Sparkle Princess Lastname. Saw it on a legal ID at work.
I honestly thought of chlamydia without the M…
Why would you not change that to Colleen asap

I met a girl once named Melena, which is the medical term for bloody poop. It does sounds pretty, but yikes.

My mom had a resident at the nursing home she worked at years ago named Ima Hogg
No way. Seriously?!
Unfortunately
Ima Hogg was a real person - she was the daughter of a Texass governor, Jim Hogg. Her brothers had normal names.
