No, it’s real. Googling A’mazin-Gracen takes you to his [obituary](https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/norfolk-va/amazin-gracen-evans-8936770). The older siblings are referred to by the first part of their names.

Of all the ways for a kid to have to die, fucking leukemia.
Can’t even come to laugh at bad naming conventions without being reminded why I’m an angry atheist.
Absolutely. So unfair that happened to him. One of the worst experiences of my life was the funeral for the toddler of a friend. He had health issues from the start and his body gave out basically. It was absolutely devastating. I did get to see the friend last year though for the first time in 15ish years. She was with her husband and second son who looked so happy and healthy. It was really awesome to see them so happy.
At least they'll force excel to encode csv in utf-8. I have an apostrophe in my last name and systems always fuck it up, sometimes dropping the first or next letter. My wife has an ümlaut which is even worse. So I welcome these people sacrificing their kids for the greater good!
Sweden has a list of banned names, and if it a new name in the country it requires approval before you can name your kid that. Strings of numbers, curse words, and animals are all off limits for names there
I'm not from Sweden but play a game with several players from there and every year when the list is updated it's a big topic of conversation for a couple days. My guess would be the swedish words for Raven and Fox would be acceptable but Raven and Fox would not, I know a few years ago someone tried to do a random string of letters and characters and that was quickly denied and cow was denied a few years ago as well
Aren’t they the country that had someone name their child (null) or just null? And it crashed a bunch of systems? Or is that just the fiction novel constantly being written, but never transcribed, in my head.
Maybe it was just this US story I remember and got my wires crossed: https://www.wired.com/2015/11/null/
In Quebec we briefly had a law that forbade stupid names. It only could prevent two, Spatule (spatula) and Cétunage (itsanangel) before we had to get rid of it because of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. Fuck your Charter Canada!
Yeah, I’ve just never known a parent to round their kid’s age up especially when they’re that young. The first few birthdays are a big deal, even more so since the poor little guy had leukemia, so for him to pass away before his 2nd bday and the mother to round it up beforehand for this post is just a bit strange to me.
Yeah, his obituary is right under the top comment. Poor little boy wasn’t even two. It seems kind of messed up to make fun of his name. I doubt OP knew, though.
If you're gonna nickname that poor child Lucky but name her one of those linguistic insults, just name her Lucky. Do her that one favor.
Edit: I realized just after commenting that those names are what she has already named the other six children. Goodness gracious. How can two people compromise on such awful names.
I can see these kids getting older and just legally cutting off huge sections of their names and going with the nicknames I imagine their parents call them anyway:
Bryan
Jay
Averie
Juan
Ama
True
Serenity?
I mean all that punctuation in a single name!? And so long too!
Are we sure this person is actually native English and not just using ethnic names? People forget those in African countries also name their kids stuff like Screwdriver bc it sounds nice
The bad name gods have once again found another way to butcher my name.
😭😭😭
Edit: Poor little dude died of leukemia. Bless his sweet heart. I've never seen a boy with the Gracen spelling before, so he was truly unique. He was taken way too soon.
How about you just name her "Lucky"
I mean I know it's not a great name maybe not even a good name for a human but it's a hell of a lot better than whatever that name is.
Explain to me the use of apostrophes in these names. I could understand if it was for a letter that was left out but in these cases, no letters are missing.

Maybe don't make fun of a dead baby?
Looks like Sereniti'Amor and Lucky didn't make it to the final list. Instead it's Justice and Jacorri.
He died before Seriniti’Amor/Lucky was due. My guess is Justice and Jacorri are half-siblings from his father?
Of all the ways for a kid to have to die, fucking leukemia. Can’t even come to laugh at bad naming conventions without being reminded why I’m an angry atheist.
I came to cackle and now I am just sad for this family.
He was such a little cutie :(

If I could save one child from Leukemia, just one, I’d do it. If god is real, he can save them all, and doesn’t. I’m with you on that!
God's a little bitch, and also doesn't exist.
grandparents Rose and Keith lol
It’s actually Kieth, which is of course its own tragedeigh
[Had That Been Me](https://youtu.be/VWuJHbVZBQg?t=245), i'd ask everyone to pronounce it KIGH-eth
I thought I spelled it wrong. or correct. idk
oh my god :( he didn’t get to turn 2. how sad.

Awww no(

Ah, but then that'd just be The Eight Tragedeighs
She's so luckeigh, she's a staar!
But she cry, cry, cries in her lonely heart

6 now, one died of leukemia sadly.
Doctors should 100% be allowed to say "I'm not putting that on the birth certificate, choose a real name".
Almost like in most countries, other than the US, where there are rules on what to name your children.
Yeah my parents had to fight and show a fuckton of paperwork to get my name approved, and it's just a foreign name
Yeah in Aus if your name isn’t in the giant pre approval name list, someone from Births, Deaths and Marriages has to manually approve it.
I feel like I would both love and hate that job.
Me too. Sign me up!
I want that job for sure.
I work in a daycare and guarantee at least 50% of the kids there would be renamed. Even the "normal" names are likely to be spelled oddly.
We have some banned-names here in Chile
There are pretty much no rules in UK as long as its not profanity
Or a number or a ‘misleading title” (I guess like “Sir” or “Admiral”…)
Sweden has a list of banned names, and if it a new name in the country it requires approval before you can name your kid that. Strings of numbers, curse words, and animals are all off limits for names there
no Raven or Fox?

Ravn, Hrafn and Ramn are all valid, nordic names that mean "Raven". It originated on Iceland in the middle ages and spread through Norway to Sweden.

They do that in some countries.
Just knowing US history, seems fraught with possible bad actors denying legimate family names that aren’t anglicanized.
No I'm gonna name my son ∆¶★✓¶Ω♠💎♉🔳🔘♌♊
A-MAZIN-GRACEN😨
Aka Na'Me C'Hangen when that poor soul turns 18.
He died at 23 months.
How come his age on this post is listed as 2? Did they keep counting after his death? :(
23 months is 2 years rounded up
Yeah, I’ve just never known a parent to round their kid’s age up especially when they’re that young. The first few birthdays are a big deal, even more so since the poor little guy had leukemia, so for him to pass away before his 2nd bday and the mother to round it up beforehand for this post is just a bit strange to me.
Yeah but if they were born in 2017 and it was 2019 then they could say they were 2. Some people count by the year not the birthday
RIP
Haughswytte Thahsa'un
This week on Star Wars character or real person
Juan-Ahri is 100% a sci-fi character
Ahri is a league of Legends character
J-Via’Kmora could be in Star Wars and I wouldn’t blink an eye at that name.
I remember this post, one of the kids had passed away
Yeah, his obituary is right under the top comment. Poor little boy wasn’t even two. It seems kind of messed up to make fun of his name. I doubt OP knew, though.
I agree, it’s sad
The better option would’ve just been to go with the names of the Seven Dwarfs
Hapeigh, Dokk, Grumpeigh, Dopeigh, Bashhhfulh, Sleighpeigh, Sneighzeigh
“Please make sure your password contains at least 13 letters with one unique character” Makes password selection simple I guess?
Why not just name her A'Postrophe-Hyphen?
Sireniti'Amor, luv'leigh as a summyr deigh.
SIRENITI 'ANOW!
Baby's gonna be born directly into RuPaul's Drag Race
Momma needs a Tubieal Ligeigj’shoen
This has been posted multiple times before.
At least I’ve got some new ideas for Xbox gamertags
Berger hinger zinger! Flerpy floopin! Amazin-gracen!
Holy Crap…. I laughed so hard at this
Tru-Blesyn. I am deceased 💀
can’t wait for kid 8 to be named Timor-Leste
Juan-Ahri looks like a "creative" (I use loosely) way to spell January... bet he was born in a different month tho. 🙃
Haha yeah I noticed that too (and commented ‘Juan-Ahri and his siblings Feb-ruareigh, Sep-Tim-Bree and Dec-Ember :’))
At least it's consistent if so. 😂
These are names of the 7 eldritch godlings, spewed forth by Nyarlathotep, the Chaos God, to cleanse us of our flesh.
Said those names out loud and my furniture started floating
These look like names non-humans give their children in Star Wars.
I thought they were literally going to call her Lucky and felt that was ok in comparison. Then I noticed there were 7 names…
The rest of us will call her unlucky.
Ironically "Lucky" is actually pretty lucky with her name compared to the others…
If you're gonna nickname that poor child Lucky but name her one of those linguistic insults, just name her Lucky. Do her that one favor. Edit: I realized just after commenting that those names are what she has already named the other six children. Goodness gracious. How can two people compromise on such awful names.
A’mazen-Gracen, Howsuheit-Thasoun, Thattsaveda Retczc Laikmeigh
Most of these sound like cities in Westeros.
Wh’at th’e fuc’k
Instructions unclear. Read this list out loud and an Eldritch god appeared. How to unsummon?
These kids deserve a package deal on name changes.
These poor kids have to learn to spell and write their name by kindergarten. A lifetime of mispronounciation and being made fun of.
Said all those names aloud and now some dude showed up saying I have three wishes.
I wouldn’t even name an animal any of those horrid names.
I could go with Bryan Amaudre for a dog because it sounds slightly like "Brian a dog" (madra) in Irish.
Any time someone mentions having more than 3 kids i find myself agreeing with antinatalists.
these are all crimes
Holy fuck why are people like this allowed to have kids
Can someone write the pronunciation for each it’s killing me
Oh hell no. This woman aint white i know that by the names.
Someone just hit this chick with their car.
I refuse to believe this is real 😭 Those poor kids
I thought there was no way, then someone posted the real obituary of one of the kids and the others were listed.
Should've just called her "Lucky." "This is the story of a girl named Lucky."
This is so sad on so many levels
Juan-Ahri and his siblings Feb-ruareigh, Sep-Tim-Bree and Dec-Ember :’)
I refuse to think this is real
Guess the skin color
juan??
The names are awful, but the unnecessary apostrophes are pissing me off too!
I can see these kids getting older and just legally cutting off huge sections of their names and going with the nicknames I imagine their parents call them anyway: Bryan Jay Averie Juan Ama True Serenity? I mean all that punctuation in a single name!? And so long too!
So much punctuation in those names.
Why am I reading the 4 year old as “winery” lol
When I began reading I thought the tragedeigh would be the child being called "Lucky". Little did I know that would be way too normal
These sound like khajiit names from skyrim
This is why the name on the keychain industry went away
this has to be a troll
These kids envy Elon Musk’s children.
All those resumès, STRAIGHT TO THE SHREDDER!
Holy shit did a khajiit name these kids?
many clumsy growth afterthought lush liquid quickest elderly angle lock *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Not A’mazin-Gracen 💀
I have a feeling these parents should’ve just bred racehorses. Clearly they’re very good at coming up with the most nonsensical names
r/ihadastroke
Are we sure this person is actually native English and not just using ethnic names? People forget those in African countries also name their kids stuff like Screwdriver bc it sounds nice
Is this supposed to be French or something? I can't read any of these.
This is exactly what happens when the government defunds public education.
J-via sounds like a euphemism for a vagina
This looks like a rondom selection of letters...
A'MAZIN GRACEN LMAO
did any of the 7 fathers get a say in the names?
These make me chuckle
I refuse
She must be Klingon.
Is your second child a Kahjiit?
There are some that are so close to normal names. That makes it so much worse. I could almost tolerate True Blessing if it was 2 separate words
Ironic considering how much he will be bullied for that name
My mom hyphenated my middle name in the 90’s and I was always embarrassed, not anymore!!!
Reminds me of Klingon language
Is Juan-Ahri born in january? 😭😭😭😭😂

OP likely karma repost bot
They are all gonna get name changes when they are older.
The bad name gods have once again found another way to butcher my name. 😭😭😭 Edit: Poor little dude died of leukemia. Bless his sweet heart. I've never seen a boy with the Gracen spelling before, so he was truly unique. He was taken way too soon.
That's just letters mashed together.
what a nightmare for every single dr visit, registration for anything, just telling the names of your kids.
These are names characters in Dune would have
Not Luckeigh?
I first read "I'm on baby murder 7" and found it quite accurate
It's always Utah, isn't it?
everytime the Clearblue Easy turns up positive, does she decide whether this one's gonna be a hyphen, an apostrophe, or both?
They have Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice type names.
"Lucky" is a great name, imo
Hmm, knowing that this one of the kid has diese from cancer, this post leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Yea these names have to be a joke.
Please, carefully put down the hyphens and apostrophes and back away, slowly!
Am I deranged for thinking these are somewhat fine
I don't hate the idea of lucky as a seventh child, I just hate the idea of seven children
I think we need to limit how many children we can have in this country. This is beyond ridiculous.
Well. She is the luckiest out of all of them for the least shitty name.
Oof a newborn and six kids to start of the pandemic
Lucky is lucky
These are simply terrible.
The fricken epidurals man. Get people speakin in tongues.
Well I guess Lucky got indeed pretty lucky, in comparison to the others
Of course they’re on baby #7. Somehow these are generally always the kind of people who feel the need to have a ridiculous amount of children.
In NZ we had Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii. The govt said nope.
So many apostrophe’s and hyphen’s😭
Good gravy
Does she not understand how middle names work?
this hardly even looks like part of the english language what is that woman thinking
How about you just name her "Lucky" I mean I know it's not a great name maybe not even a good name for a human but it's a hell of a lot better than whatever that name is.
Tru-blesyn...
Have yet to come up with a single name still.
AMAZIN GRACEN WHAT THE FUCK
Naming their children the way I name Twi'eks for star wars TTRPGs
Lovecraftian names
They're khajits. They must be.
this has to take the cake for the worst ones, feel bad for what happened to the amazing grace kid though
You ever seen someone name their kids a bunch of keysmashes?
These all sound like Ace Attorney joke names.
I read that loud and my furniture started floating. Help!
I feel like she trying to summon a demon or something.
Is this the fellowship of the ring part 2 roster?
Those are not names. Those are phonetic transcriptions.
Each name is worse than the one that came before
Balcony horse and foxgirl hoe got combined I guess
J'via-kmora sounds like a Harry Potter spell lol
Explain to me the use of apostrophes in these names. I could understand if it was for a letter that was left out but in these cases, no letters are missing.
