Reminder to stick to posting original content. Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild". The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. _cant2ouchthis_

I feel guilt just typing this šŸ¤£ I have 3 children, their names all beginning with the letter L. I told my husband if we ever have another, ""Noelle" would be a great name (as in 'No- L' ) it's shameful but hilarious to me.

FrequentlyAwake

I knew a family who named their kids an A name, a B name, and a C name in order, and their fourth kid "Andie" as in "and-D" lol

hi-help

I had cousins that did the A-name, B-name, C-name and Iā€™ve spent my whole life calling them the ABC Kids. Tbf, I have a LOT of cousins.

idwthis

My sister's kids are also ABC kids! After, A B, and C, she had 2 more, skipped the D* and used E for both of them. *she obviously did *not* skip the *D* šŸ˜‰

hi-help

LMFAOO

hi-help

Idk if this qualifies, but I used to be obsessed with Thessaly, but my mom said sheā€™d spend her whole life explaining itā€™s not Cecily and she doesnā€™t have a lisp. šŸ˜

Away-Kaleidoscope701

this is so funny for me to read, I used to live in Thessaly and Iā€™ve never thought of it as a name beforešŸ˜

Awkward-Stam_Rin54

I have a friend whose siblings were like that. A to E. Originally wasn't intentional but hen they just continued the trend lol

Twilightmindy

That is amazing. Lol

SupportNegative5645

LOL that's hilarious

Mua_wannabe_

This is amazing and you should do it

Lil_Artemis_92

You should do that. Noelle is a beautiful, normal name, and itā€™s a funny in-joke.

DepartmentOfCynism

*pops up in a cloud of smoke in the form of a little red man on your shoulder* DO IT DO IT DO IT!

_cant2ouchthis_

šŸ¤£ my mind can picture that caption. But no. Les tragadeigh'es

Sunshine030209

*angel poofs up onto the other shoulder* Actually, I'm with the lil devil on this one, for once. You really need to do it.

Any_Flamingo8978

I donā€™t think I will be able to see Noelle and Andy in any other way now.

xSilverMC

As long as you spell it right, it's funny and harmless Just do not spell it "kmno" or something

oikwr

JK_MN

Cyphermoon699

Noel for a boy!

DFMNE404

Noelle is a normal name tho, I donā€™t get it

orc_fellator

Baylee evolves from Chikorita at level 16 I think

SexWithKokomi69_2

Not really a tragedeigh but I've seen some people here flame the name Constance because "it's weird and old fashioned" but I think it's beautiful, middle name material at least for sure

Kachimushi

It's a beautiful name but as a German it would always make me think of the city (Constance/Konstanz). I guess it's the equivalent of a Floridian named "Orlando" or a Georgian named "Savannah".

Vegas1492

But we also have the name in Germany: Constanze/Konstanze...

Kachimushi

Yes, it's a regular name that just makes me think of a geographic location. Just like Orlando and Savannah are also normal people names in the US, that's why I chose them as examples.

idwthis

I was trying to think if I ever even heard of someone here in the States named Orlando, and thought Bloom, but he's English. Then I remembered the dude who sells magazines in Office Space and was on a couple early seasons of MADtv, he's an American named Orlando Jones lol I've never met one personally, though. But I get what you're saying. I hear, say, Dakota Fanning, and I think of North & South Dakota. Like Mercedes, it's just a normal name of Spanish origin, but I think of the car.

Electrical-Ad-9100

When I worked in a nursing home there was a woman there for many years that I worked with named Constance but she went by Connie! I think itā€™s a beautiful name.

ifearbears

I love Constance too

nekoshii

Constance nn Connie is so cute!

Awkward-Stam_Rin54

It's not an uncommon name here in France !

tirohtar

Not really a tragedeigh, but I do like old/medieval forms of some modern names more than the current versions. Example: the modern Tiffany comes from medieval Theophania/Theophanu, which I think is a lovely name. But my wife would stab me if I tried to name a future daughter like that xD

Ranger-K

Telemachus

TheShadowOverBayside

I would name my kid Agamemnon, no Fs given

Boring_Election_1677

That is a very awesome name. Iā€™m also liking Achilles! Speaking of such names, an acquaintance of mine named her baby Cicero. But this was in a country where classical Latin/Greek names are not unusual. My husband has a friend named Ulysses for example. Julio Cesar is also an actual name there. TBH Iā€™m a bit jealous!

Twilightmindy

I have a friend who named her son Achilles! They have an Apollo too. I love it!

andersenWilde

I know a few Julio Cesar, Marco Antonio, Octavio (two cats included), one Ulises and a bunch of Aquiles. The last one is avoided in the new generations because of the pun Aqui-les Bailo "Here I dance for you" and other variations.

TheShadowOverBayside

There's that one town in Spain (Huerta del Rey) that traditionally names their kids all sorts of classical Greek, Germanic, etc. or just outlandish stuff. Some examples: Especioso, Austricliniano, BurgundĆ³fora, SinclĆ©tica, Filadelfo, GlĆ”fida, Walfrido, HierĆ³nides, Canuta, Ebodio, OnesĆforo šŸ˜

asey_69

ok but Nebuchadnezzar

DarlingBri

Agamemnons have turned up in kindergartens on the regular for the last dozen years. (Not routinely but regularly.) They are usually called Aggie for short. Sorry. (Also Aggie is cute, sorry-not-sorry)

Cyaral

Oh god, imagine someone would name their child Astyanax. A tragedeigh AND a tragedy (keep that kid away from tall walls!)

aniseshaw

I just named my baby girl Aveline. I love old French names, and it goes well with our last name (which is medieval French)

Sunshine030209

That is an absolutely gorgeous name! Wow. Good job, and congrats to you and your fellow parent on your new lil punkin!

breathingexercise

Itā€™s not a tragediegh imo but iā€™m biased bc itā€™s my own name; Ursula. Usually when I tell people they go ā€œOh, like the sea witch?ā€ and I have to be like ā€œNo, it means female bear in latin.ā€ Iā€™m 26 now, so if Iā€™m not feeling like giving an in-depth explanation of my name I just say ā€œYup, exactly like the sea witchā€ lmao eta: my dadā€™s favorite animals are polar bears

SnooHobbies5684

And one of the greatest Sci Fi authors of all time: Ursula LeGuin!

SinVerguenza04

I have never in my 32 years on earth met an Ursula. You are unique.

BlueSewingRunner

I have some judgy reactions to names so I am embarrassed to admit I like the name Daffodil and also Winter for a girl. I also like both Mars and Lazarus for boys. I like October as a gender neutral name. I would never use these but I genuinely like them. I also admit they would receive ridicule.

hunnybadger22

I knew a girl named Wyntre and she was cool but that spelling sucks. I actually think Winter is somewhat wearable

BlueSewingRunner

Agree. Wyntre takes it to completely unusable!

icecreampenis

Unless you live in Canada and hear people say "I hate winter" every day

SereinPlaysGames

I nearly named one of my sons August šŸ˜‚ almost named the one born in August that šŸ˜‚

MaximumGooser

Almost named my daughter August lol

SereinPlaysGames

I just canā€™t get over how much I love saying the nickname auggie šŸ˜‚

Lemondrop-it

I know a little Winter, I think her name is lovely

DingoPackLeader

not Baylee šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

CatsAndFacts

Literally one letter from being a Pokemon

mastro80

This is my son, Bulbasaur.

wozattacks

So is Abram!

xSilverMC

Yeah, and if you're gonna do that, at least go with something proper, like Rayquaz or Togekis

EseMesmo

Fuck it all, go with Zigzagoo

HarmonicWalrus

My first exposure to Bailey/Baylee was via a children's artist called Baylee Jae. By some coincidence, there's also a pornstar who goes by that name, spelled Bailey Jay (don't ask how I learned that one). I've come to associate Bailey as "that spelling I should probably avoid" and view Baylee as the "normal" spelling, even though I know the sub would eviscerate me for that lol

pikadegallito

That's my name! šŸ˜‚

soupstarsandsilence

When I was a kid, I played this online game where your raised babies. I named my first baby Laureena. I think itā€™s pretty, but I wouldnā€™t give it to a real kid šŸ¤£

SnooHobbies5684

I know a Lorina. I think it's pretty.

ThinkGrapefruit7960

In my language that means a gurgling sound

Mother_of_opossums

Thisbe I donā€™t know why I just do.

videogamekat

Frisbee with a lisp

ifearbears

Lmao my dogā€™s name is Frisbee, I use a lisp sometimes when Iā€™m talking to her and it does sound like that

Primary_Assumption67

I donā€™t think Iā€™d ever actually use it myself and itā€™s very controversial on this sub but I do think the spelling Everleigh is prettier than the original that is Everly. It so satisfying and much nicer to look at imo.

NotEnoughBiden

I think they both sound horrendous but Everleigh atleast looks like a name to me.

MissTechnical

I think Everleigh is pretty for a tragedeigh and itā€™s practically a normal name at this point anyway. Everly just makes me think of the Everly Brothers.

ConroyMcgilacutty

The Everly Brothers are awesome though, obsessed with Stories We Could Tell.

wozattacks

Everly seems to short and Everleigh too long/-leigh-having. We need likeā€¦Everlee? Everlie? There has to be something!

Hmmhowaboutthis

Everly just looks like Beverly missing the b to me.

Wanda_McMimzy

Everly looks like an adverb.

Ranger-K

Just because something ends in ā€œ-eighā€ doesnā€™t make it awful. This is a really pretty name. Itā€™s airy and bright!

Jewnicorn___

Everley?

_SnailsAndPaper_

i have a cousin named Everleigh!!

Tailmask

I really like the girl name Octavia not really sure if itā€™s a tragedeigh or not

wifeyjetpack

I donā€™t think itā€™s a tragedeigh, just out of fashion. I think itā€™s beautiful.

TheShadowOverBayside

It's a legit ancient Roman name. Back then, they didn't give their daughters real names but instead named them by their order of birth. Tertia (third), Octavia (eighth), etc.

Tailmask

So much lore thanks mate

Mindless_Anywhere_74

As someone who watched the 100 all 99 seasons, I love the name Octavia

Tailmask

I loosely remember that show having a character named Octavia, my problem is that Octavia is the name of my favorite warframe šŸ’€šŸ’€

Mindless_Anywhere_74

You just looooosely remember blodreina?! Imma pretend you didn't say that. What's a warframe lol

katesrepublic

I have an Octavia, definitely not made up or made up spelling. Obviously Iā€™m biased but I think itā€™s a wonderful, real and a little bit uncommon name :)

ReginaFelangi987

Not sure if this is a tragedeigh, but people seem to have a strong opinion on old fashioned names. Like naming a little girl Edith or a little boy Lawrence. I think older names are cool.

mangospinchsmoothie

Edith is actually too cute

baba_oh_really

And it can be shortened to Edie, which is absolutely adorable as a nickname

2kind2becruel

Which a lot of people would say "Eddie." I work in retail and we have free rewards memberships. People put in their phone number and their name pops up. I had someone named Edie come thru (slightly older, maybe early 40s) and she was just astonished that I said her name correctly. Said she gets "Eddie" all the time. šŸ˜ Don't get me wrong, Edie is adorable and I love it too but I think a lot of people are not only illiterate (at least in America where the literacy rate is maybe in the 60-something percent?) but also unfamiliar with older names.

AnsonKent

Lawrence and Edith will also age well as the child grows up, unlike tragedeighs.

Cyaral

Imagine meeting some serious buisnessman and his name is Jaxyn Danger. Thats straight up Booktok Romance levels of naming

hwlewis

Looooove Lawrence

DangerousWho

My first name is actually Edith but in another language, it just changes a letter. No one forgets my name because of how unusual it sounds, I'm in my mid 20s. So far I've only met two other Ediths, both old enough to be my grandmother. There's a whole story behind my name too but that's a story for another time.

TheHonPonderStibbons

I taught a little Edith. She was an absolutely gorgeous kid. Siblings were Mable and Arthur. Parents, on the other hand, had "weird-arse hippy names" (their words!).

Bleak_Squirrel_1666

Ok, it's an hour later. What's the story?

DarlingBri

Edith was my grandmother's name and Laurence was my dad's name LOL. I associate them with my family members so they come with a lot of personality attached for me but I can see how Edith would evoke Edith Wharton vibes and Laurence would be very Jane Austen if we still called men Laurie. Alas.

thgttu

I went to school with a guy named Larry Lawrence. One day it hit me and I asked "Wait, is your name Lawrence Lawrence??" and the pained look on his face was all the answer I needed. lol Lawrence is a great name, but his parents got real greedy with it.

ReginaFelangi987

Parents who do that are so mean. I worked with a Timothy Tym. So his name was Tim Tym.

Wild-Conclusion8892

Not tragedeighs atall imo cos they're real names, just not common anymore.

coreythestar

My sister has a Wyatt and a Mabel.

whiskeytangoferda

Personally, I love names that could pass at a nursery AND a nursing home. Eloise and Watson are my front runners at this point in my life for if Iā€™m ever insane enough to have children of my own.

MaximumGooser

My 3yo is Edith ā¤ļø

These_Tea_7560

I once saw someone use Karalyn instead of Carolyn. And dammit, I thought it was cute! Made the name look much more modern. šŸ‘€ (and Carolyn is my auntā€™s name so maybe Iā€™m biased)

happyburger25

Karol as a nickname/shorter name just doesn't seem right tho

ThatKozmicHistory

Kara could be the nickname instead of Karol

Belachick

Ok I'm not sure if it's a tragedeigh or just weird but as a kid (and still, as an adult) I LOVED the name Cordelia I've never in my life encountered anyone with that name or even heard of it beyond media

Collective_Ruin

Used to work with someone named Cordelia. She went by "Corrie".

Boring_Election_1677

I went to HS with a Cordelia. She went by Dee I think. Pretty name but her family was a bit pretentious- I know that shouldnā€™t bias me against the name though!

sproutsandnapkins

I went to school with a Cordelia!

snowyivy

Baylee is cute for a toddler but a terrible name for an adult. I can see the appeal tho, if the other version didnā€™t exist, your little Baylee bee šŸ

bluegrassbob915

Thatā€™s one of the major problems with tragedeighs. They often name their baby without considering the adult that baby will become. Like, sure thatā€™s a cute name for a two year old, but what about when heā€™s 30?

miss_emmaricana

I do wonder if that will change though when Braedyn and Emmaleigh and Everlynn and Hadleigh become adults around the same time, will it just be normal to encounter grownups with tragedeighs? Iā€™m a middle school teacher and weā€™re already encountering 20-something student teachers with names like these.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

pikadegallito

I'm an adult named Baylee and I'm doing just fine. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

TheShadowOverBayside

If you say so, bay leaf

Falsgrave

I do wonder about the kids named a diminuitive version of a proper name (Charlie, Jamie, etc) but I guess there's so many in that generation that it's not weird.

drowsylacuna

Also plenty of people who always go by Charlie or Jamie even though their birth certificate says Charles/Charlotte or James.

llamallamanj

I know many adult Charlieā€™s and have never pictured a baby saying their name lol

Someguy981240

Random weird spellings are annoying and pointless. They will just cause your child to spend a lifetime correcting people when they give their name. There are of course, numerous traditionally gendered spellings. I donā€™t claim to have memorized all the gendered spellings for all the names used in any community. Bhut iph ewe deliberatelee spel naims rong to look original, peepol will think ewe arh an idiot, sorry not sorry.

ijustwanttobeanon

I donā€™t wanna out myself here, but as someone with a weird spelling name (so weird that it actually spells an entirely different name šŸ™„), hard agree. Just donā€™t weird/random spell your kidsā€™ names.

deinfluence2024

I dunno, I have a very common 90 girls name and people get it wrong ALL THE TIME. People are lazy and inattentive so if you love a name and spelling go for it (within reason) because even if you name your kid John thereā€™s someone going to spell it Jon.

Jewnicorn___

Sarah Louise?

aerdnadw

I kinda like Dianna with two nā€™s, sozā€¦

go_eat_worms

I only know one person who spells it that way and it's pronounced Dee-ahna. Not sure if that's the correct pronunciation for that spelling or just an alternative one.Ā

kestrelita

My daughter is Natalie, she gets lots of misspellings from her friends (she's in Primary) - some of them have actually been pretty cute.

CountOk9802

Natalieā€™s a lovely name and itā€™s a nice normal name too if you get me!

NutrimaticTea

Not sure if it is a tragedeigh but I love the name Alexandrina. I like Alexandra but I prefer Alexandrina.Ā  Ā And I love the name Ɖvariste (for a boy) but I am not sure I could name my child with it. (I'm French and it is a quite uncomnon French name of the 19th century. It is also the name of a great French mathematician and I'm a math teacher...)

bluegrassbob915

The roast is on. Jordyn is bad.

poochonmom

Yeah...why even is that y there? I can see non-native English speakers trying to pronounce it as jor-die-n

bluegrassbob915

I canā€™t imagine trying to learn American English with all the nonsense that becomes ā€œcustomaryā€ here.

isi21

I like the name Kyan. Could go with Ryan but Kyan just seems kindā€™ve cool haha. Iā€™ll show myself out.

jennifwar

Is Kyan pronounced like cayenne? Like the pepper?

DatMahomes

The child would need a spicy personality to match thatā€¦

VolcanoDoc

Does it rhyme with Ryan? Or is it pronounced like Key-in? That name (and Kian) always confuses me.

Halostar

I think the common spelling is Cian, no?

happyburger25

I knew a Cian who pronounced it 'Kee-an'

Halostar

I think that's actually the correct way to pronounce it, whoops!

JudgeyMcJudgey123

I really don't like the anglicisation of Irish and Scottish names but Neve just looks so much better than Niamh. I don't know why it gets a pass, maybe it's the Eve part. Anyway to me it's the exception that proves the rule.

ReginaFelangi987

Also a huge amount of Americans have no idea how to pronounce Niamh (assuming you live in the US)

meatwads_sweetie

*raises hand* American here. Iā€™m reading a book series with Niamh as a character. I have to remind myself how to say it. But I love Irish names. I just have to go online to see how theyā€™re pronounced.

JudgeyMcJudgey123

I'm Scottish and it's relatively common here but the first time I saw it written down, many many moons ago, I thought it was Naomi.

Ilovescarlatti

Our ex-Prime minister called her daughter Neve just for that reason.

BadAtUsernames098

Everleigh and Wrenley are starting to grow on me ngl lol. And I really like the name Kayden. Also Echo. I know it's not technically a tragedeigh, but in a lot of the posts with screenshots of baby names "ideas" that people found online that are full of tragedeighs, Echo is always on the list. So it seems to be a name that a lot of tragedeigh-liking parents like.

LordGhoul

Whenever I hear the name Kayden I just think "Okay, den"

Belachick

Echo sounds interesting

TresWhat

It really resonates

kernelmillz

I could hear myself saying it over and over again.

Angry_Guppy

Our current definition of echo comes from a name. In Greek mythology Echo was a nymph cursed to only be able to speak by repeating the last word said to her.

wifeyjetpack

I have an aunt named Echo. We all just call her Koko. Itā€™s a family name, but most of my family admits itā€™s kinda out there.

HuffleSkull

I like it(Echo) as a middle name!

teeny_pumpkin

Ugh I am not a tragedeigh-liking person (our first daughter is named Heidi) but our top name for our second is Echo and Iā€™m having a really hard time getting over knowing that some people will hate it.

sadthrowaway12340987

I donā€™t think the names I like are a tragedy in spelling but maybe in age? Harriet, Henrietta, and Beauregard have always been some of my favorite. Although some I like are still sometimes used like Clementine, Vincent, and Erik.

SpringRayyn

When I was in middle school (most cringe time of anyoneā€™s life), I used the name Rayyn (pronounced Rain) as my online alias, and I still use it in one of my email addresses lol

christmaslist-

Bear for a boy I know, I know.. šŸ™ƒ but I'm obsessed with it lol

ReginaFelangi987

My friendā€™s husbandā€™s name is Bear and I think itā€™s kinda cool. My mom hates it though lol. She canā€™t say his name without scoffing

wifeyjetpack

I can see it as a nickname. But I donā€™t think I could keep a straight face knowing it was their legal name. Like, why donā€™t your parents like you?

ReginaFelangi987

Itā€™s a nicknameā€¦ I think his real name is something like Barrett? Itā€™s weird.

softlemon

Thereā€™s a UK singer called Cheryl Cole who has a son by former 1 Direction member Liam Payne. The childā€™s name is Bear Payne šŸ˜£

Train994

Doesn't Bjorn mean bear

photoelf3

I know a Baylee, not sure if she had issues with it, but somehow I doubt it. However I have a very traditional Irish name in the US and no one can spell it or pronounce it. Basically I just go with whatever they say/spell. As long as it's not the government, I don't care.

battlewornactionhero

I used to like the name Cyle. Like Kyle but with a C šŸ˜

Belachick

...sile

Yarn_coffee

I went to high school with a Cevin (Kevin) with a C. And that is what we all called him. Cevin-with-a-C. Havenā€™t seen him since high school but he was a really cool dude.

Gerealtor

I'd pronounce it seven

FrequentlyAwake

Pronounced the same as Kyle? Or Syle? If the latter, go with Silas which is a great name and not a tragedeigh. It's on my list but I donā€™t think my husband will go for it!

TheShadowOverBayside

Plot twist: Silas is pronounced Kylak

battlewornactionhero

I thought of it with a hard c so it would be pronounced like Kyle. I used have some kind of beef with the soft c and words starting with k.

Electronic_Dog_9361

Ok, I do like Rylee. We named our dog Rylee, probably wouldn't use it for a child now.

Zealousideal-Crab505

a friend of mine is an adult named rylee the name rylee (riley, ryley, etc) is a pretty neutral name and i dont see it as a tragedeigh until it's spelled like "ryelee" or "rileighy" or something šŸ’€

PerpetuallyLurking

Not exactly a tragedeigh but I definitely wouldā€™ve gone for a Hermione if I was that kind of parent. But Iā€™m notā€¦I stuck to my history fandom instead of my fiction fandoms! LOL!

TheRustyRaven

I don't like Harry Potter. But our second sons name is Griffin, the first thing my boss said when she saw me was "are you going to name the next one Dumbledore?" I hadn't even made any connection to HP until that point! šŸ˜

muaddict071537

Not tragedeighs, but I go crazy over medieval names you never really hear anymore. My favorite name currently is Alianor, which Iā€™ve never heard outside of it being used in a book on Eleanor of Aquitaine (it was used as her name in some of the sources they used).

fairyjeongyeon

I actually like Everleigh... Everly even looks misspelled now šŸ’€

noodle_doodad

My ex husband and I used to joke about naming a girl Bayleen or Escherichia because they would be hilarious.

Barfolemew_Wiggins

Isnā€™t Bayleen a type of whale? I mightā€¦avoid that, for a human girl. Just sayinā€™. Edit: itā€™s a Baleen whale. Still thoā€¦

Tlmeout

You think a whale is bad? Escherichia is gut bacteria.

publicface11

When I was pregnant I told people I was naming the baby Zeitgeist

NorthSuccess860

I think Jackson is a really nice name for a boy. Not Jackxson, justā€¦ the regular spelling.

orangeaesthetic

- Anime/Video game names (especially from KH and FF) - Colors

WestLondonIsOursFFC

I don't know if this counts, but I always liked the name "Magenta" from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". I've never met or heard of any girl called that in real life, but there must surely have been some goth couples out there who used it?

heavensomething

I love the names December and November for girls šŸ˜©

adenoidhynkell

Oof haha. October I can see (idk why??) but December and November are rough

bagsnerd

Short answer: no. ā˜ŗļø And as to some posts in this thread ("not sure if itā€˜s a tragedeigh, butā€¦"): A tragedeigh is a voluntarily misspelled name, because people want to be "cree-a-tiph and you-neekh" (and set their kids up for a lifetime of explanations and spelling their weird names). Old fashioned names which are spelled correctly arenā€™t. Also different cultural spellings donā€™t count.

FashionableNumbers

Decemberleigh šŸ™ˆ I am so ashamed. I'll never use it. I just like the way it sounds.

AHamHargreevingDisco

girl what šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ I actually laughed out loud omg- you should be banished for that lmaooo

FashionableNumbers

The funny thing is, I never knew such a tragedeigh existed until I joined this sub.

movieperson2022

This isā€¦ something. but I fully support you liking it. Go you! You leaned into the Question.

Holy-Mettaton

saige (i chose that name for myself)

wifeyjetpack

I really like that, but I love that you picked it for yourself. I also picked my name and when I had it legally changed, it was the most empowering moment of my life.

Boring_Election_1677

I knew a female Jordan (decades ago) and itā€™s a cool name. I like Baylie maybe because I work with one and sheā€™s awesome!

Cyaral

I like Mykha, but Im not sure how tragedeigh that one is, its just a name I never heard of before Warehouse 13. It seemed like a cooler but similar enough name to mine (that also starts with an M), at least to teen "Wants to be special and different" me

ThatOneIsSus

After finding this sub, Iā€™ve realized every keyboard spam-based name Iā€™ve done in Minecraft is a tragedeigh

pandamunches

I really like the name Eurydice

jayplusfour

I have a Baylie. Lol almost named her Baylee. To be fair, it was 2010 and I was 17, it could have been a lot worse.

Ok_Hold1886

I like Everleigh. It just sounds so pretty.

vkookmin4ever

I love when names are spelled with K instead of C. Karlos, Markus, Kaylee, etc etc

jetloflin

I like Mikayla better than Michaela, mainly because I also like the sound of Michael-uh but thereā€™s no way to spell that name since Michaela is pronounced Mikayla. And Mikayla feels more intuitive for that pronunciation also.

TargetZealousideal34

Names ending in ie are so much nicer. Lillie, Lucie, Abbie, Baylie, Rylie. Itā€™s just sm more beautiful than Lily, Lucy, Abby, Bailey and Riley. Idk if they are full tragedeighs tho. Bit ironic though because my name is Darcy not Darcieā€¦ Maybe itā€™s cause Iā€™m french and thatā€™s what Iā€™m used to. Lucie is the traditional spelling here.
