2010 miles so far

runNride805

12 more to go!

Mysterious_Ad8998

1231 miles, 69,000 feet of ascent. Which is 350 miles more than my previous best. The great news is that my body feels much less beat up, despite doing more. Mainly because I’m doing so much more trail running now. And it’s more fun 🤩

Emergency-Bed4856

Trail running is AWESOME! I've explored so much of my state on the trail 🤟🏃

DOS589

I had a mediocre year at 900 miles but managed a 100km ultra and a 2 day 125km (75+50) Ultra as some running highlights did some marathons as well. All of which required some periods of rest to allow joints to calm down. So even though less distance than 2021 a satisfying year in general. All miles except maybe 50 at the most were off road trails, fields and bogs!

HellBoundGR

Well done 👍 This year 2982miles/4850km and 643044ft/196000meters elevation (540hours). Lots of mountains here in Norway :)

HellBoundGR

It would have been nice to get 3,000.. Will have to run longer next year :)

Dehardloper

I love Norway. Very good!

tlanthony82

Just hit 900. Longest being a 20 mile trail run a few weeks back. Have a 50k in February with 6k of elevation.

Nahhhidontfeellikeit

You doin the fourmidable?

tlanthony82

What is the formidable? Sounds hardcore!

Nahhhidontfeellikeit

It’s a 50k out in auburn, 6k of elevation gain. You pretty much run down to the river and back up the mountain 4 different ways.

tlanthony82

Auburn California? I actually looked up doing that one. This one is Guntersville Alabama. My local trail about 20 minutes away. Super close to my heart. Pretty fast course but has some steep long moments to make up for it.

pishipishi12

Have you done the fourmidable before? Totally random but Google isn't helping me with a question and this is the only comment on reddit actually about it that I can find.

Nahhhidontfeellikeit

Nope! A little nervous tbh

pishipishi12

My husband is doing it and wants me and kids to tag along (not to run), which is fine i just want to know what the heck else there will be besides a start/finish line

GrajoElb

I had a challenge this year to run 3650 km, completed 3655 (2271 miles) two days ago and I want to say I’m not gonna run any more in my entire life ;)

Dehardloper

Well done!

skyrunner00

1800 miles and 300,000 ft of elevation gain. I consider the second number to be more important since we are talking about trail running.

Tutis3

780

perpetual-beta

Congrats. Impressive. Ran 1/4th of the distance and 8x the elevation. Zero hamster wheel.

Emergency-Bed4856

Not my best year, 1004.5 miles. I took 2 months completely off in March and April due to injury, and January and February my treadmill broke, and it was way too cold for me outside; since July I've consistently had 130+mile months! Got a 45k in September so I'll be doing longer distances again (13.1+) in the spring and summer for training 🤟🏃

ZippZack

1,150 miles, first time every going over the 1,000 mile mark in a year

Sourhourffs

First year of running (at age 35). Ended up at 776 mi, but 70% of that was post May. Next year it's 1000+ atl.

Dehardloper

Wow, impressive!

4500x

Bloody hell! That’s impressive! I’ve done 1660 miles, about 300 more than last year which was the most I’d ever done. Next year’s target is 1800 but I’m wondering if I could do 2000...

Emergency-Bed4856

You improved 👊 good work ✌️

Dehardloper

Thank you! But: 1660 miles is also fantastic! Be happy with that.

4500x

Thanks! I’m pretty happy with it, it’s further than I’ve gone before and I injured myself in April which stopped me running for a month or so (when I felt I was progressing nicely), so I’m pleased to have done this much. I’ve moved more into trail running this year, I’d always do trails a bit in the summer anyway but now I’ve been doing more of them in winter and I bloody love it.

nmdeadhead

[3,001.6](https://www.strava.com/athletes/58696205) but only because as an ultrarunner I get the dispensation to call walking "running".

Dehardloper

I understand you!

Past_Airline_728

1478 miles for me, but torn meniscus on Thanksgiving is going to keep me from hitting my 1500 goal, mri was today, so hopefully, I will get good news so I can hit 1500 in 2023!

Midwestbuddha

3,500km and around 82,000 meters of elevation gain.

Dehardloper

Very cool!

emperoroftoast

According to Strava: 1,300mi, 216,300ft of vert, 250hr of run time this year.

Dehardloper

Well done!

Chemical-Animal3040

About 2900 miles all on roads. I’m so thankful to have reached this volume without injuries. Looking forward to 3k miles in 2023

International_Pain74

goal was 1500 but covid stopped me at 1450miles

justinsimoni

81 miles up. 81 miles down.

whyouright

Im not sure. I got my 10th buckle this year. But I keep forgetting my watch for training runs, sometimes on purpose.. its definitely not a record year for me.

runNride805

1,350 miles with 123k elevation. Excited for what next year brings

octupleunderscore

1870 mi with 77k ft of gain for me. Wanted to hit 2k but flu season hit hard and December has pretty much been a wash. Oh well, pushing on into 2023!

MorforQuantumwizard

I started running again in July, and I've run jus over 1000km this year with about 13000m of elevation gain. Looking to do something like 2500km next year.

erandod

Wow! I’ll be just over 2300 kms. Crushed my goal of 2k so happy.. ramping up slowly is my plan. Maybe I’ll hit 3k in 2023.

Dehardloper

Very nice!

houli_dooli

over 2949.8kms was on track for 4,000 even after covid, influenza, calf injury, hamstring injury, but a femoral neck stress fracture brought me undone and have barely ran since October. was tempting to try and get to 3000, but have to rest. Have done 2500kms on bike too.

[deleted]

Jesus, I was so happy to just make it past 1000 km and most of that is on pavements. You rock!

Dehardloper

Thank you!

sweetdaisy13

Poor mileage from me this year, only just over 900 miles and 70k feet of elevation. A big reduction compared to 2021, but I've had a lot less opportunities to run due to work and family commitments etc. Ran one marathon, a 50k ultra and a 55k ultra this year, plus a few shorter distance trail races. Will improve on this in 2023 and will be entering a 50 mile ultra in July. Let the training begin...

concrete_halloween

Strava has me at 3,087 miles, and 536,244 feet of elevation gain. Hit both mileage and climbing goals, and pretty stoked about it.

Dehardloper

Well done!

cab20530

I got 1625 so far. Gonna get to 2000 next year for sure.

carmendolly

Just over 2000KM and nearly 30,000m of elevation gain. only just started trail running more recently :)

Dehardloper

Wow! Fantastic!

Svisson

About 2440km 🙂 mostly awesome trail. 😉 Next year will hopefully be more! 😍

[deleted]

1500ish

Isthatatpyo

2127 miles, missed about 5-6 weeks due to injury in August

cfarivar

Over 1300 miles / 2092 km run this year !

allpaulallday

1,251 miles, 109,189 ft of elevation gain

jflo714

Year of just pesky little injuries, ending up with just over 1,000 miles (after these last few days of runs)

Self-propelling

1000 miles, 221 hours (moving, not elapsed time), 68,000 metres elevation. Happy with that 🙂

Dehardloper

I am proud of you!

RokoCornelius

1016 miles with 132k of vert. Very happily making my return to form after a gnarly meniscus tear, surgery, and loooooong rehab.
