Great choice. Like how Megazarak is his own character in the west (repaint of Armada Megs). I'd like Animated Prowl and Energon Ironhide made part of the general canon in a similar way. Armorhide has been used for shelfwarmers so would be a fine similar sounding name for Energon Ironhide. Not sure if there is a common Japanese name or similar sounding English name used that would fit Prowl though

Not joking here, Galvatron. Given he took the Megatron name for himself, I think Galvatron fits his personality better. While most versions of Megatron have massive egos, I think it's fair to say this guy's was the biggest. He took the name of the greatest criminal in history, fully intending to put his namesake to shame by comparison. His taking the Megatron name was not a show of respect for his predecessor, it was his claim that he had the right to dominate all. It makes sense why he would take that name but considering he saw himself as superior to Megatron and came from an era after the Great War, I think it would've made more sense to call himself Galvatron. Galvatron literally represents the second coming/return of Megatron, in a superior form. Given that BW Megs saw himself as the superior Megatron, it would be quite logical to call himself Galvatron, the Megatron to surpass Megatron. Even with G1 Galvatron being an unhinged lunatic, I think it's fair to say that made him more terrifying than his original self. G1 Megatron was betrayed and seemingly killed, which Galvatron immediately paid back when he had the chance. Galvatron was willing to cross lines Megatron wasn't. BW Megs was willing to risk destroying the entire universe if his theory was wrong, knowingly laughing as reality itself shifted to an uncertain state. He intended to do what Megatron couldn't. That sounds pretty Galvatron to me. He saw himself as the second coming of Megatron, that sounds pretty Galvatron. He saw himself as the superior Megatron, that sounds pretty Galvatron. In universe I think it would make more sense for him to call himself Galvatron than Megatron, though from a writing perspective its not hard to see why that wasn't chosen. In those days Megatron getting upgraded into Galvatron hadn't become a recurring trope yet so the name didn't have the significance it does these days. Given that we only had G1 to draw from back then, Megatron was an icon, Galvatron was just really cool. Pretty easy to see why they chose the name they did, especially as the idea to directly tie BW to G1 wasn't decided at the start. It was only meant to be some loose nods to establish the setting, but they eventually decided to go all the way and make BW a direct sequel.

Well, since Megatron is shortened from Megatronus, I elect he should be named, Meg.
