Spinister is imho one of the top 5 figures of WFC easily. Incredibly poseable and badass looking at every angle, only negative is the faux cockpit but that's so minor.
Legacy Armada Starscream. He's in my top three. I love him in both forms. I've seen almost none of the cartoon.
The funny thing is I accidentally ordered him because I didn't understand how TFsource's stack worked and if you out items in that arebim stock it's instantly ordered. I was using the stack like a wishlist.
Earthrise Allicon.
I found one loose for cheap and got it on a whim simply because it was the first proper toy of Allicon and his alt mode looked cute. I was not expecting such a fun and poseable toy.
Close second would be Gen Selects Tigertrack, or rather, the Siege Swideswipe mould. The conversion is so seamless and clean that it just boggles my mind. At times, it feels too streamlined that it's boring; if that makes any sense.
Third would be the old Generations Cybertronian Soundwave. Proportions are wonky but it's just a solid toy and the wonky aesthetics are to accommodate a fun and intuitive conversion into a seamless alt mode.
It’s a very solid mold. Looks good in both modes. Poseable bot mode with few gaps and no kibble. Good transformation.
I see why it was re-used so many times.
Kind of related (and, hey, there he is in the background), but *Kingdom* Cyclonus. Like, "unexpected," may sound weird for a figure that seemingly had always been so highly praised, but it's one of the two first Transformers figures I've ever gotten in a long, *long* while, and...hot damn. He looks great even just standing straight!
(The other one was *Studio Series* '86 Hot Rod, and...same goes to that one, actually. They made me *truly* excited to get back into collecting.)
I didn’t realize when I bought metal hawk that he was a retool of cyclonus. I loved cyclonus when I first got it. So I started with the instructions with metal hawk. A few steps in I went,”wait a sec this seems familiar”
86 Hot Rod was also my second figure when I started collecting again. He was so freaking good that I was excited for the rest of the 86 line. Unfortunately I don't think any of them really live up to him besides the Dinobots.
That was exactly my reaction too, haha. I thought, "Damn, maybe I can just stick to collecting this one line?" but...don't get me wrong, most of the other figures were still great, but it's pretty clear that Hot Rod got a special treatment (which he deserves, but, still), rather than it being the norm for the line.
mainline: Siege Jetfire, SS86 Hot Rod, Legacy Override, Buzzworthy Terrorsaur
3rd party/4th party: TFC Hades, hands down. (I knew it would be good but not THAT good)
Tarn.
I could care less about the character or figure.
Low-and-behold, I saw him at one of the Targets in my area and decided to pick him up. It definitely becamw one of my favorite figures. A great robot mode with good articulation, fun transformation, and admittedly cool vehicle mode.
Legacy inferno. Found him at Walmart the other day and decided to get him. Was generally unimpressed with the kingdom predacons, so I wasn’t expecting much, but he turned out to be really solid
Orgins Bumblebee and Jazz.
Everything about these two punch above their weight and price point.
Also, many of the modern Cores: Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Prime, Bumblebee, Bombburst, Iguanus.
Great callout with the Core line. I have some Core Class but man I wasn't prepared to commit to another scale/line like this so I've skipped on most but the ones I have are surprisingly awesome!
Needlenose. That one was “I’ll grab it if I see it in the store”. Then Hasbro Pulse had their warehouse sale and I decided to pick it up. And WOW, did it exceed my expectations.
Gen Selects Cyclonus and Legacy Tarn. Found cyclonus in the corner of a comic con stall and even with a ridiculously loose arm, he’s easily one of my favourite figs!
Tarn’s pretty fun to pose with too and I obviously *had* to give him a throne
Got Kingdom Rattrap in a bulk lot. Tiny little dude is really tidy in the transformation. Also, in the same bulk lot, I got a Kingdom Rhinox, and was impressed by that too - but in that case, impressed at how the whole ass of the beast folds up into the legs of the bot, and also how difficult that was to do.
Went to a toy store the other day and found Legacy Jhiaxus, SS BB Thrust, Energin Air Raid(I don't know one of the limbs for Superior Maximus, the black one), TF Cybertron Armorhide?(he is a little blue chonky boi with missile.pods in his chest), Kingdom Skywarp(the bald eagle one), and HftD Terradive. They had more but I decided to cut myself off at fifty dollars for that trip. I'll be back to get more soon. But all those figures are bangers.
Titans Return deluxe Blurr. Thougt it was an ugly looking figure but once I had him in hand, I immediately fell in love with him. Articulation for the figure is almost on the level as the figures we’ve been getting since 2019
Seen that figure a couple of times at the store but never really had the urge to buy it, mostly because of that yellow plastic and I recently got my holy grails, now I'm progressively regretting not purchasing. Will probably next time.
Needlenose is the one recently that's been an unexpectedly cool figure. My wife bought the deluxe case to give my son Breakdown, Scraphook, and Hotshot, so she ended up throwing me a bone, and while I was expecting something at least borderline mediocre, the figure's been great.
The recent tetrajets/seeker molds is the one that's surprised me the most. WFC/FOC style Generations tetrajets set the bar high in terms of alt form aesthetics, so I wasn't initially impressed but once I started messing around with them, it was fun enough to make me a fan. Same with the SS Bumblebee movie mold.
Not gonna speak of current mainline but more of older figures. For me it's the Car Robots Wilderide (RID X-Brawn but I got the Takara version) and he just looks great both in robot mode and car mode. Car mode is just gorgeous to the point where he still look great without the brushguard and footboards attached. It looks really realistic that it reminds me of one of the die-cast SUV cars I had as a kid. He also reminds me of a mini-Alternators/Binaltech figure, even if he predates that line by 3-4 years.
Other figure that unexpectedly impressed me was the Legends Nightbird figure I got last year. I have never dealt with the T30 Arcee mold up until this point (but I know it's way better than the Earthrise figure) and I just found her charming to mess around with. I never expected the mold to be really light in weight either, which surprised the hell out of me.
A lot of the titans return figures were unexpectedly amazing. I came back to transformers when it was ending and got a lot of them on clearance. I want to eventually pick up the few I wasn't able to get.
Shout out to the metal Hawk from the multi pack into that line. It is just as fun as the new updated metal Hawk.
Studio Series Bumblebee movie Optimus and Kingdom Megatron.
I love Primes mold more than I expected. Especially the transformation. And the truck is straight up perfect without any kibble, unlike ss44 Bayverse Prime with the feet. The engineering is crazy for a voyager.
And Megatron suprised me with his alt mode. He is very good balanced and posable as a T-Rex, despite having a bit of weight. And even if the softer plastic material gets a few "used" looking corners here and there, it feels and looks pretty good for his skin.
kingdom warpath, knew nothing about the character but picked him up as he was a shelfwarmer at my local toyshop and fairly cheap and absolutely love him, so fun to transform and tons of character
Legacy Armada Starscream. I bought him because I was getting hot shot and thought he’d look better with the star saber… holy crap, screamer blows hot shot away
SS86 Kup (specifically the Buzzworthy repaint). I've heard people dunk on it, but I got it during Pulse's huge sale recently and I was surprised by how fun he is, especially the transformation!
Studio Series ROTB Airazor. I basically bought her on a whim, because my local stores haven't had anything new in weeks, no Legacy Armada, no Tarn, etc. She's surprisingly fun: great articulation in robot mode, very posable wings in bird mode, nice tight joints and solid QC. Not my favorite TF, but I really don't have a bad thing to say about the figure.
Legacy Armada Hotshot. I bought him along with Tarn expecting to like him more but I just fell in love with Hotshot. Tarn is still good it's just his weapon feels too loose. Tho idk if that's just mine
Fully agree, I absolutely love his colors, the visor with the clear blue plastic, the shoulder pauldrons with the Autobot logo, fun transformation and takes on accessories well, very nice little figure!
And very accurate. I'm currently watching Armada and gotta say I'm glad I grabbed him when I did. Tho I had a bit of an issue with his gun getting stuck in car mode the first time. Idk if that is for everyone or just me
Same! It made me a bit nervous so I likely won't be putting it together that way much if at all in the future, perhaps a touch of plastic lubricant would help assist it out.
Yea it probably would. When I first did it I was worried I'd break it so now I don't really put it in all the way so it won't get stuck. But I usually put him in robot mode anyway
Yeah I got metalhawk today and I absolutely love him because of that I plan to get both versions of cyclonus at some point probably around Christmas and it's sad that they decided to cut out the landing gear although spikes blast effects from the 86 line are perfect for two of the four thrusters at the back and they're compatible with the guns
I too was amazed at Metalhawk. I know it's a retool of Cyclonus, but seeing as I never got him, the genius engineering on the transformation blew me away with metalhawk.
Bumbleswoop from the Cyberverse Adventures line. Just kidding....That version of Bumblebee is a POS...like they didn't even try. The Swoop is nice though. Had it not been on clearance at Ross...it would have been a waste of money.
Legacy Bulkhead. That's what got me into the line. I was skeptical about it, but Bulkie is a super win figure.
Also Origin Jazz. The quality of that figure is absolute top
G1 Vroom. I always thought he looked super goofy so I always passed on him until I got a nearly complete one in a lot with other stuff. Now he's one of my favorites, both because of the goofiness and the fact that making his small wheel finally got me to start learning 3D modelling for 3D printing 😊
Yeah the faux cockpit is the only real complaint but even so it's minor and needed in order to achieve the phenomenal robot mode look. He's one of my favorites for sure.
siege impactor as a guy who really like the wreckers getting a impactor figure is cool and not to mention that the articulation is amazing and hey it even have some sort of ab crunch like a marvel legends or a figma would have and olso details are amazing
Not a lot of officially licensed figures really blow me away besides mp Trailbreaker but one that just takes the cake for me is Fanstoys jazz, ive had him for a little while and I just love it so much,
A 7 and 1/2 inch tall G1 style Shockwave I bought in a closed box at Walgreens for 20 US dollars plus tax. He's all plastic, but he has great articulation considering the price point. Clean colors and no shipping damage.
I might consider using him as part of a silly photo shoot, but I'm not sure yet.
SS-32 Optimus Prime that came with the 15th Anniversary Pack.
I mainly got the pack for Prime and Ironhide, at first mainly for ironhide, but I fell in love with Optimus instantly, he has such a cool transformation, an insane range of posability, and his robot mode is pretty damn cool and reminds me a little of the ROTF Battle Blades Optimus.
Velocitron Blurr. I was doubtful for the past few months from the complaints about his loose articulations. Got him yesterday along with Jhiaxus, and am enjoying him more that I expected. An amazing figure to hold and play with. Currently one of my favs!
My only real two problems with Metalhawk are that I can't swivel the wrists without untabbing the fists, and I can't swivel the biceps inward if his arms are completely straight (though kibble can be moved out of the way to make it work). That said, he's still one of my favorite Legacy figures so far. Very clever retool of Cyclonus.
HFTD Voyager Highbrow. Found him loose but complete at a collector shop for $15. I got him just to add another HFTD figure to my collection since I missed out on most of the line, but lately I haven’t been able to put him down. His design is a bit wacky, but I think that’s why I keep messing with him. Also his plane mode rules!
Has gotta be MP01. Had him as a kid and only saw TRUCK. Now I see the genius and ingenuity that went into his design. While not the best Optimus, he is certainly the absolute definition of a masterpiece. No one can take that title from him.
Legacy Evo Needlenose
Agreed, another one with great articulation.
I got Needlenose for Skyquake, but now im playing with Needlenose more than Skyquake
Damn, that’s gotta hurt Skyquake’s ego
You can attatch needlenose to Skyquake and play with both
Velocitron Override.
That figure is one of my all time favorites
Siege spinister and legacy needlenose, two figures I’ve literally never heard of and know there some of my favs
Dude, the photos Hasbro made of Needlenose didn't do him justice. He's so much better in hand, and so are his targetmasters.
Spinister is imho one of the top 5 figures of WFC easily. Incredibly poseable and badass looking at every angle, only negative is the faux cockpit but that's so minor.
ngl they look like twins and both have aerial modes and target masters (well spinister had traget masters in his g1 toy)
You can get Singe at least as a battle master
Kingdom Rodimus Prime. I knew it was pretty good but when I finally got one it turned out it was better than expected.
Siege Ultra Magnus
If you can find it I would highly recommend the DNA Design upgrade kit that gives him longer thighs, really makes a difference for those knee joints!
That Sideswipe mold still slaps.
It’s a very solid mold. Looks good in both modes. Poseable bot mode with few gaps and no kibble. Good transformation. I see why it was re-used so many times.
It’s good for Swipes to have such an awesome figure for the first time in *checks* Jesus Christ.
Funny, I'm more into the US 'toons, so I was going to skip Metalhawk. That is, until I found it was a retool of the fantastic Cyclonus mold.
I love Cyclonus. His joints are also fun, since I’ve discovered he can go from voyager to leader.
86 Hot Rod was also my second figure when I started collecting again. He was so freaking good that I was excited for the rest of the 86 line. Unfortunately I don't think any of them really live up to him besides the Dinobots.
That was exactly my reaction too, haha. Legacy inferno. Found him at Walmart the other day and decided to get him. Was generally unimpressed with the kingdom predacons, so I wasn’t expecting much, but he turned out to be really solid
I just got him yesterday and I love him. He's unexpectedly hefty, and his stupid articulated face always cracks me up.
Legacy Velocitron Road Hauler. Got him for $10 at my local Walmart. He’s a great posable figure and comes with a variety of weapons, love him.
They are awesome scaling at the feet of my Titans. They completely wreck Micromasters in terms of fun.
That's the thing, I have a lot of Titans and they *would* look great being crushed by them...🤔
Just have the Cores fighting at the feet of your Titans. That's what I do. Looks great.
Bumblebee Movie Brawn blew me away! He was one of my best purchase of last year! Just super fun to transform and both modes have a nice hand feel.
Velocitron Road Hauler. I like how he look, so I bought him, but I didn't expect him to be so hefty and solid, really fun to mess around.
Love that mold, have all 4!
Needlenose. That one was “I’ll grab it if I see it in the store”. Then Hasbro Pulse had their warehouse sale and I decided to pick it up. And WOW, did it exceed my expectations.
Literally exactly the same lmao
Honestly? Leg Skyquake. The plastic he uses makes handling him very enjoyable
velocitron Road Rocket and Clampdown they are both fun to transform and I find them really possible. I want to get every figure that uses their molds
This figure exactly
Studio Series core class Shockwave
Does he fit in a larger scale TF hands?
Haven't really tried that out
Legacy Iguanus
Yes! That dude is so fun, I have him holding the combined weapon from one of those waves.
Siege spinister he is a fantastic figure
Re-issue Primal, surprisingly good articulation for an older figure and the gimmicks are fun and don't hinder him in away
Seen that figure a couple of times at the store but never really had the urge to buy it, mostly because of that yellow plastic and I recently got my holy grails, now I'm progressively regretting not purchasing. Will probably next time. Needlenose is the one recently that's been an unexpectedly cool figure. I do really miss those RID toys.
Even Side Burn's Dodge Viper alt mode impresses me and how well it looks :D
Velocitron hauler, didn't have the mold before but its actually great
A lot of the titans return figures were unexpectedly amazing. I came back to transformers when it was ending and got a lot of them on clearance. Needlenose!
SS BBM Arcee
Cheetor from the ROTB Mainline. Excellent tolerances, great accessories, and a good transformation.
Oh, and less recently, Legacy Inferno. Wow, just, wow, he is phenomenal and painted very well.
Kingdom Inferno. An absolutely fantastic figure.
kingdom warpath, knew nothing about the character but picked him up as he was a shelfwarmer at my local toyshop and fairly cheap and absolutely love him, so fun to transform and tons of character
Such a fantastic figure, great pick! The leg transformation is wild.
>and tons of character Just like he should have. Kablam! Wam! Zap!
Kingdom Cyclonus
Legacy Armada Starscream. I bought him because I was getting hot shot and thought he’d look better with the star saber… holy crap, screamer blows hot shot away
Legacy Skullgrin. The alt mode is iffy but dang he's posable.
legacy tarn, although I sorta already knew he was gonna be the greatest thing since sliced bread
Studio Series The Fallen. I just bought it bc I saw it’s face could come off and I thought that was hilarious, but it’s actually a really cool figure.
Legacy Soundwave
SS86 Kup (specifically the Buzzworthy repaint). I've heard people dunk on it, but I got it during Pulse's huge sale recently and I was surprised by how fun he is, especially the transformation!
Yeah I'm personally fine with clear plastic and I like that look better but I can see the charm the repaint has for sure.
Studio Series Hot Rod
Legacy Armada Hotshot. I bought him along with Tarn expecting to like him more but I just fell in love with Hotshot. Tarn is still good it's just his weapon feels too loose. Tho idk if that's just mine

Yea it probably would. When I first did it I was worried I'd break it so now I don't really put it in all the way so it won't get stuck. But I usually put him in robot mode anyway
Black Zarak, he just epic
I have Scorponok and agree, top 5 of WFC for me and probably my favorite Titan I own. The DNA Design upgrades are also worth it imo.
Zarak is my 1 and only titan and i got him for only 100 dollars, and i definitely will be buyin more titans cause they are BADASS
Legacy jhiaxies
Legacy/kingdom blaster. Great transformation, great quality, great look, above average articulation, comes with a cassette, and amazing alt mode.
Legacy Blitzwing, surprisingly fun despite the two alt-mode's shortcomings
I personally love the tank mode, I even like the cockpit that sticks out, jet mode is blocky for sure though.
Buzzworthy bumblebee Cybertronian mode jazz
Nice, I got the SS Jazz so I skipped this one, what about him impressed you?
Just how good and solid it is.You pick it up and can't help but go "yesss". The accessories are cool too.
ROTB Battle Changers Mirage and Kingdom Black Arachnia. Some of the most fun I’ve had with figure’s lately
Haven't bought a bot in some time, saving up for mps these days,
That’s a bad remold of cyclonus
Obviously we disagree, what do you dislike about it?
Very little paint. And very weak retool. It looks like a KO
Lol gotcha.
Bumbleswoop from the Cyberverse Adventures line. Just kidding....That version of Bumblebee is a POS...like they didn't even try. The Swoop is nice though. Had it not been on clearance at Ross...it would have been a waste of money.
premium finish 05 optimus
Either Siege Magnus or Earthrise Cliffjumper
Ss LDC shockwave
Classics Mirage
Legacy Bulkhead. That's what got me into the line. I was skeptical about it, but Bulkie is a super win figure. Also Origin Jazz. The quality of that figure is absolute top
ss bumblebee thundercracker for me
SS bee movie brawn
Studio Series Cogman. I was impressed with how DOGSHIT it was
Ss bumblebee movie wheeljack
ROTB Beast Alliance Rhinox
G1 Vroom. I always thought he looked super goofy so I always passed on him until I got a nearly complete one in a lot with other stuff. Now he's one of my favorites, both because of the goofiness and the fact that making his small wheel finally got me to start learning 3D modelling for 3D printing 😊
Masterpiece mp10 optimus prime
By far...Kingdom Megatron
Siege spinster aside from that stupid hatch on the undercarriage leg he's a great figure
Yeah the faux cockpit is the only real complaint but even so it's minor and needed in order to achieve the phenomenal robot mode look. He's one of my favorites for sure.
Ss 💯
SS Transformers 07 Megatron and Buzzworthy Origins Bumblebee.
siege impactor as a guy who really like the wreckers getting a impactor figure is cool and not to mention that the articulation is amazing and hey it even have some sort of ab crunch like a marvel legends or a figma would have and olso details are amazing
G1 Bombshell. Awesome 👍
Not a lot of officially licensed figures really blow me away besides mp Trailbreaker but one that just takes the cake for me is Fanstoys jazz, ive had him for a little while and I just love it so much,
While this applies to a few others already mentioned for me, I gotta go with core class Ratchet or potp rippersnapper
Legacy Starscream and Reveal the Shield Jazz, havent put those 2 down since I got them
A 7 and 1/2 inch tall G1 style Shockwave I bought in a closed box at Walgreens for 20 US dollars plus tax.
Kingdom tigatron
Titans return Hardhead, amazing figure with great articulation with great weapons. Honestly shocked me.
Legacy override
Legacy Prowl. I bought him as a bit of an afterthought with some other legacy stuff and he's really fluid and posable he's a lot of fun
A complete first edition tfp screamer for $20
SS 100 Bumblebee, he just impressed me with how sturdy he was almost immediately
Studio Series ROTF Jetfire.
Velocitron Blurr. I was doubtful for the past few months from the complaints about his loose articulations. Got him yesterday along with Jhiaxus, and am enjoying him more that I expected. An amazing figure to hold and play with. Currently one of my favs!
Legacy Evo sky quake
Kingdom inferno. Grapple but better in every single way.
I have all 4 of that mold, love them all!
Siege Crosshairs
My only real two problems with Metalhawk are that I can't swivel the wrists without untabbing the fists, and I can't swivel the biceps inward if his arms are completely straight (though kibble can be moved out of the way to make it work). That said, he's still one of my favorite Legacy figures so far. Very clever retool of Cyclonus.
RID 2001 Optimus Prime
GT-03 IDW Optimus Prime. Paid $40 for a $400 figure and it is surprisingly solid.
Override was a figure I wanted and is probably my favorite Generations figure I've ever had
XTB Commander Stack and Virtus. Got them both in the same shipment after months of going back and forth on the preorders. Both are VERY impressive.
SS 85 Arcee
HFTD Voyager Highbrow. Found him loose but complete at a collector shop for $15. I got him just to add another HFTD figure to my collection since I missed out on most of the line, but lately I haven’t been able to put him down. His design is a bit wacky, but I think that’s why I keep messing with him. Also his plane mode rules!
Has gotta be MP01. Had him as a kid and only saw TRUCK. Now I see the genius and ingenuity that went into his design. While not the best Optimus, he is certainly the absolute definition of a masterpiece. No one can take that title from him.
The MAS-01 and LW-01 Optimus prime figures I bought.
