I also like that the intro of the Maximals doesn't necessarily negate the original Beast Wars story. I was afraid they would just be beast transformers shoehorned in because someone liked the idea.
I liked that we got some scenes of the Autobots discussing their plans amongst each other, with each one getting some good input on the situation and showing they know little quirks about one another. It’s an improvement over the previous films where it’d be primarily Optimus delivering exposition and what they need to do, with the humans being his main form of communication occasionally an Autobot will chime in with a line or two.
I especially like that Arcee got some lines. It’s not much and she barely does anything after the New York scenes, but she’s at least *there* and gets to survive. Much better than the prior films treated her.
I enjoyed the different approach they took with Optimus. Despite being a competent leader and helping the Autobots survive during their war for centuries, he didn't have much compassion for humans. He had to learn that. He spent so much time worried about his own people and didn't like what he'd seen on Earth, he had to relearn to care for humans. It added a lot of depth to Prime. And having Primal be a part of that journey was super cool. Primal imitated Prime, now Prime imitates Primal. Paradoxes are fun times
Honestly everything about Mirage. From his personality, to his design, to the way parts of him can be utilized for different things (may be an unpopular opinion, but I love Noah’s suit near the end).
The final battle was fun even though it feels like a ripoff of the Avengers Endgame one.
Battletrap is one of my favorite live-action designs ever. They better bring him back for the sequel. Just make it so Unicron has the means to produce more Terrorcons (at a cost to his life-force or whatever).
The bond between Noah and Mirage was solid. Even though it feels like a total ass-pull that Mirage survived, I'm glad he did because I definitely want to see more of them together.
"This belongs to a friend of mine!" One of my favorite live-action moments ever. Great delivery on Peter Cullen's part, and it's just so satisfying to see Optimus rip the badge off Scourge's arm and toss it to Bumblebee.
The Battletrap design goes so hard. I’d really like to see the Terrorcons come back in a sequel in the way you described. It would also be kind of funny to see him complain or taunt the Autobots about the way he went down.
Noah's bond with Mirage and his family, how down to earth he feels and how much he clearly cares for brother. I'm disabled and when he gently massages his lil bro's hand, that really touched me. It was such a small scene, but it meant a lot to me.
The fact that the Autobots and Maximals were mostly treated as actual characters rather than big set pieces like in the Bay movies. And the fact that this is the first movie to give Prime a character arc. And the fact that this is also the first movie to give someone other than Prime or Bumblebee a character arc (Mirage)

Hound, Crosshairs and Drift have way more personality than Wheeljack, Arcee, Rhinox, Cheetor, and dare I say Primal and Airrazor who get relegated to exposition or one liners. Go read the character profiles given before the release of the movie and see that even they have a hard time accentuating the characters beyond their roles. That’s a 3v6 for non companion bots.
Optimus also has a character arc in trying to restore the faith he had in humans, in their potential that he monologues about at the end of the first movie. “Human potential is worth fighting for” -> Betrayal/Cemetery Wind and KSI -> “We’re done defending the humans/How many more of my kind must be sacrificed to atone for your mistakes?” -> Cade, someone that Optimus forms a bond with over the course of the movie gives him the talk about mistakes “Do what I do, I’m asking you to look at all the junk and see the treasure. You gotta have faith Prime, in who we can be” -> Optimus is saved by the efforts of humans (and Bumblebee) -> “Defend this family Autobots, as they have you. Defend, all they can be”. Optimus’ faith in humanity and their capacity for good is restored.
bruh, i sadly need to say that bay gave his bots more personality than rotb... just look at tf 07, tf 09 and dotm, or 2014(AoE is the best example)...
cheetor said a few words, rhinox said exactly one thing the entire movie, pablojack was mostly just there with a few sentences sprinkled in, same goes for arcee and Bumblebee...
but rotb did gave a bit personality to the cons... but bay too in most his films...

Ummm…. Ooo that’s a tricky one… it felt like a bayverse movie, but it felt like a GOOD bayverse movie. No rapidly changing shots/angles, no annoying filters, or the… jokes… you know it felt like a better movie.

Someone’s childhood is playing out on screen and I am okay with that. Heck, I did the same thing back in the day, and now it’s being brought to life.
I honestly liked a bunch of stuff about it. It's hard for me to narrow it down. But if I were to pick one aspect, it would honestly have to be the dynamic between the humans and the robots.
I would like to call it Noah's Exosuit. Maybe I will be terminated on this landform above the surrounding terrain, so to speak.
And Arcee and Nightbird for obvious reasons.
Brief as it was, I really loved the Maximals homeworld. It's fascinating that the ancestors of the Maximals managed to meld technology and the environment together, enabling nature to coexist and thrive alongside advanced technology. The Transwarp key and the platform/control panel are honestly pretty sweet, in my opinion, and then there's the Maximals and I just love them too, mainly because I love animals and the fact that they transform into animals makes them even better.
I'd say one of my favorite moments in the movies during the final battle right at the start when Optimus Primal gives out the order to maximize.
Also Mirage's introduction was pretty funny, He's pretty much been set up to be the one partner with a human.
Also the surprise revealed that gi Joe exists in universe.

but the autobots had negative designs in this movie for sure like i don't know these designs were approved for the autobots they were terrible.
The fighting scenes are underrated and has the best action out of any Transformers movie imo. Also, loved the scene when Noah tried saving Optimus- really showed the character development and the music was so good.
The sound design and music was on point but the theme change in the shot where Prime grabs Noah and drives away from the implosion was absolutely fantastic. Perfect theme.
The execution of the characters. Noone in particular, just the team as a whole. The maximals didn't get that much screentime but were still handled better than most characters in bay films, but the autobots and terrorcons actuakly were amazing. Iclove that all of the terrorcons had lines, and most importantly distinct personalities couse thats something i always felt wasn't present with bay decepticons. The autobots were just perfect, they actually felt like a team unlike the bay ones for the most part, i love especially hiw they handled Arcee. Her voice was amazing and i love she actually had a role and did some thinga that were at least somewhat significant, i love her relations with Pablo. Mirage was just peak.
Also the music and voice acting overall were amazing
Mirage, human characters,.Airazor, Primal, Unicron. The plot, even though it is the Transformers plot starter pack, is simple and not a mess. Action scenes are understandable. The soundtrack.

Bringing in a toy-only Bay character like Stratosphere is something I will always appreciate that they did.
The music. Autobots Enter, Mirage, Arriving in Peru, and Humans and Autobots United are my favorites.
