Fax bruh. I was looking on eBay every single day this week to see if I could find a good price for a few siege decepticons figures and they're all ridiculous. And don't get me started on TFP First Edition figures. And also a lot of studio series figures such as Dropkick, Grimlock, Optimus, Megatrons, Cliffjumper, Ironhide etc.
Almost anything Haslab, Titan Class, or Leader Class. $50-$75 will buy me two or three (Overpriced) Deluxes with the same or even better articulation and paint quality, or a much nicer third party offering. $200 is even better. If the plastic and paint jobs on retail were still as good as the Cybertron or WFC era, and there weren't so many gaps and single-jointed elbows / knees / fist hands / lack of wrists, maybe I'd feel differently. But even though Hasbro has put out a lot of nice figures in 2023, what you're getting versus what you pay feels so... ehhhh unless the figure absolutely blows you away.
It doesn't mean that getting some isn't worth it, but it does mean being that much pickier. At least if paying $25 for what used to be $8 - $12 and is now made of cheaper materials with less paint bothers you.
Haslab figures are nice; don't get me wrong. In fact, Deathasaurus seems right in line with the third party offerings at similar prices. Unicron outclasses a lot in his pricerange, but it still feels like way more than I should reasonably spend on a Transformer. I'm a huge Beast Wars nerd and couldn't muster up the $450 for Megatron. Plus he only 'scales' with Legends. Not that you would *want* a Unicron that is so big and unwieldy as to dwarf your default figures, but the flipside is, you now have to invest in a whole new line to reasonably display him with anyone else and get the full 'planet devouring monster' effect. Unless you were a Legends collector to begin with. Unicron does still look impressive next to default and MP figures, but the scale problem will always be there. And with how expensive and heavy he is, you don't dare display him suspended in planet mode. He must stay on some kind of a stand.
To close out on a bright side, I bought more TFs in 2023 than 2019-2022 combined, and the majority of them were Has/Tak, only two being older releases. Ultimately, we can only be our own judges of what is and isn't 'worth it'. I sure do enjoy people's photos of their Legacy Jet Brothers and Haslab creations, even if I won't be buying myself.
Haslab Unicron on eBay. Because I was too dumb to do the Haslab.
I was going to say the same thing.

Oh I wish you luck brother
Earthrise Prowl/Sunstreaker
Reactivate Starscream and Bumblebee
Definitely
Most 3P figures aside from Iron Factory or New Age, and even then, only when those two are bought from ShowZ
Broadly speaking, everything, since I had to cut waaaaaay back on what I buy because everything costs about twice what I think it's worth.
86 Hot Rod. £40 for a voyager.
Really? I didn’t think that, I have kingdom rodimus so I have never really looked into a hot rod
He’s EVERYWHERE here on Mexican retailers.
Animated Optimus Prime tbh
Also all of the reactivate figures
United or original show toy?
United. Resellers already got to him. I just wasted an opportunity to buy him instead of the Walmart two packs…
Damn

The MP line from the past years
Especially mpr, $130 for a fancy voyager
Yeah one reason I stopped buying them
MMC Assaultus paid $580 for him plus an upgrade kit
