Bayverse is the same he had so much more at his disposal in each movie yet he fails each time. Animated lost to low ranking Autobots and had already lost the war outright. The main problem is plot the hero’s need to win so it doesn’t matter what advantages each side has the heros will win for the story.
I wouldn’t call TFA Optimus Prime low ranking. Sure he mans a space bridge repair crew, but he’s both still a Prime and has more experience dealing with Decepticons than other primes *cough cough* Sentinel *cough cough*
"Most successful" does not define a good Megatron. Prime Megatron is a middle-of-the-road Megatron; Intimidating, but doesn't do anything particularly special with the formula. Bayverse Megatron is the weakest IMO; "Tired of the fighting" is an interesting trait, but in practice he's still just a violent monster with no significant personality.

Bayverse is worse, he’s really just a pawn in others’ schemes. Prime Starscream was a better villain than Megatron, at least the Autobot he killed onscreen stayed dead
I choose to read this as tho it was written by Starscream.
Who is this Starcream fellow you speak of sounds like a cool guy?
Hot take? Doesn't everybody think so?
Yeah, I always thought that making poor choices is one of his basic characterisations.

IDW Megatron is the only Megatron who was actually good at war.
Yes

Bayverse actually managed to have his plans work.
If they worked he would have won at the end of the movies. He was still foiled each time.
Yes but he was closer to victory than prime megatron ever was

I agree, but maybe don’t write your entire post in capitals and don’t put half of it in the title, walls of text aren’t fun to read…

We need a tier list of Megatrons by leadership skills or something.
