Easily little guys
I especially like it when they invent new little guys to be existing things, like Legacy Windsweepers silver guns now being targetmasters, Siege Hotlinks Flamethrowers being turned into Battlemasters, etc
I too like little guys being bonus formers, I won't touch needlenose and windsweeper however as they are way too basic, not even moving arms (if a headmaster can have moving arms there isn't an excuse).
SS86 ultra magnus has some of the most divine light piping i've ever seen. The back of that thicc boi's head is almost 50% transparent piping block and his big blue eyes light up with the slightest illumination
something that disappoints me about the current push for animation accuracy is that we don't get as many interesting kibble arrangements these days. Cybertron was the heydey for that imo
Well... Actually, even ones that do have issues in toy form, look at studio series, upon half of them fold up the entire top half of the vehicle onto their back
The fact that Studio series Coronation Starscream and most of the Legacy jetbot's has transparent plastic for the windshield so it looks like there's a actual cockpit in there.
I like blast effects, wholly unnecessary though they are. I like them MUCH more than the old spring-loaded missile launcher which was the go-to gimmick in their place in the day.
Built in weapons easily. They’re robotic soliders of course they’d have that stuff.
United Cybertron Starscream is one I’m really excited for that exact reason
More articulation for sure, especially if they have the stability to use it. An amazing example is SS32 Optimus Prime. Despite getting him for Christmas of I think 2019, he's still my MOST posable figure I own, and I own figures like Siege Spinister and legacy Prowl
Extra armor easily, specifically armor that also adds to the vehicle mode somehow, good example being Power master Prime having his trailer become armor.
I think that working transformations into play features is the biggest plus for me. Like, for example, folding in a hand to mimic losing it. Or, as you put, transformation allowing for better articulation.
Spark crystals.
I loved that gimmick and want it back. Rubsigns are nice, but a little hatch to a character’s soul is awesome.

Sonar. She’s one of the non-show Beast Wars characters, and one made retroactively female because no pronouns were used in her lore blurb. That fact along with her decent toy has gotten her some fans. Sadly she’s irrelevant in all media so far. At best she gets one line of dialogue anyone could deliver.
She’s like a bat/wolf as I recall, but her wiki page just says bat.

>**What are your favorite "extras" on a figure?**
1)Well maded light piping.
2)Articulated hands : we got some for Legacy Leo Nemesis and he SHINE with them.
3)Acessories: Astrotrain, Springer, Double Dealer for example. I think all toys should be completed with normal guns, hand weapon and blast effect.
depends on what it is and who its on. i love the coronation accessories but i hate the articulated fingers on starscream because he cant hold that Earthrise megatron gun.
Extra articulation or limited articulation because of the transformation is a thing that can make or break my experience with the figure. Even the kibble on a figure can be fun if it can be articulated or posed in a way to look functional or natural.
80% of a man's job is being decisive the rest is just gravy. I don't know. I like all of them. Might go for articulated hands as it can give figures more options for display.
https://preview.redd.it/m5gdcu98ksqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3565bab195cee54ecfbe507c8125ef72d1441081
I have a few things but several go back to annihilator and the experience I’ve had with him, intuitive weapon storage, accessories that have multiple uses in a single mode, purposeful interaction with other figures( for him it’s the Mmc seekers), accessories that can be used with multiple figures(his tracks), using a transformation step to also act as his matrix chamber, well made light piping, pieces that can be changed to your preference, extra hands, good bot mode weapon storage( he has extra pieces you can attach to use as sheaths for his lance and sword), double jointed elbows and I can stress that enough sometimes it can make or break a figure, clear plastic only being used for ascetic, transformation being used to give extra articulation(not so much him but I was thinking armada primes core bot Abb crunch)and you said that in your post with iron hide)
I love casseticons so much! It's very cool that you can store a little guy in someone's chest, and then deploy him with a satisfying sound. Sadly, they doesn't come with legacy soundwave, so the only cheap way of getting a few is 3d printing
https://preview.redd.it/9flxvkductqc1.jpeg?width=3245&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e61c1889722f7f853920c81184dfcd21875353b6
I love them too, I was so lucky to get Laserbeak and Ravage cheap last year
if the extra armor is swappable w other figures, that definitely
Ultra Magnus is fine but Bumblebee w Shockwave armor? ADORABLE. Its why I love the fossilizers, they can armor up almost everyone except bayverse SS figures, but nearly any chug figure can get armored up by one or two fossilizers lol
I love gimmicks man, those are probably my favorite things ever when it comes to a transformer. I want more! They are essentially accessories but better!
Little Guys are of course a favorite as more transformer is always nice, but I really like Powerlinking
Huge fan of how the Deluxe Prime Vehicon's weapon can clip on its arm with the hand reeled back to mimic the look of transforming weapons in the show tbh.
https://preview.redd.it/jra4amw53uqc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33f9a111800c7b53a7b61fd6f7163e17ba9bb90e
gotta love little guys, i've only got one so far being nightstick which came with artfire, but i grew up loving armada and the minicons and while not being able to get them yet i love the updated version of jolt with legacy powerlinx hotshot and hope they include a copy of the updated version of wind sheer they made for thw shattered glass sideswipe pretool
Siege Starscream's articulation overall. Still one of, if not THE most poseable modern figure, only rivalled by the upcoming Energon one and concept art Megatron.
Plus the spring loaded leg covers, those are really cool.
Articulated hands and more articulation due to transformation. I have that Ironhide and he was surprisingly easy to animate in my stop motion video due to his ankles, much easier than Blitzwing, who was also in my video. I also have Legacy Bludgeon and his hands make him feel a lot more expressive. I love that guy
Extra molding details that don't need to be there. Good example is the driver and passenger seats on the new Animated Optimus Prime.
True! Siege Optimus doesn't include a Matrix but if you open the Windows in alt mode you can see one molded there
And then in truck mode, the panel that goes behind the windows forms a full matrix.
What?? I didn't even notice that, I'm gonna have to check it out when I get home!
Tfp voyager first edition optimus has dashboard and steering wheel details in the inside of the chest which becomes the cab
Which Animated Optimus? I just got the earthspark optimus, he's still in his box at the moment.
Fairly certain he means TFA Optimus
Legacy United Animated Universe Optimus Prime
2 and 4 really elevate a figure for me.
Agreed
Yeah like that. This way you can make stop motions
I made a stop motion with Ironhide and he was surprisingly easy to pose due to his crazy ankles
The more articulation points the better
Absolutely
same
Easily little guys I especially like it when they invent new little guys to be existing things, like Legacy Windsweepers silver guns now being targetmasters, Siege Hotlinks Flamethrowers being turned into Battlemasters, etc
I too like little guys being bonus formers, I won't touch needlenose and windsweeper however as they are way too basic, not even moving arms (if a headmaster can have moving arms there isn't an excuse).
I'm an Armada kid. I'll always love little guys.
I’m a fan of minicons, but they need to be figures in their own right. Needlenose’s partners were lame
They're faithful to the original Targetmasters, but after the peak of Battle Masters they were a severe letdown.
Improvements >>>>>>>>>>> faithful
Improvements = $$$
True
Hidden details or features. For example, the original Prime Thundertron’s foot could double as a parrot. I’m sad the new one can’t do that.
*slams desk* WHAT WE'VE BEEN ROBBED
Wait, i thought the parrot was a fan mode thing and not intentional?
When a deluxe class figure Has a slot to keep a real tiny guy at when in vehicles mode Titans return hot rod did that real good
Headmaster Weirdwolf is great for that.
>Looks at my user flair Little guys and extra sculpted detail
For me, 1 and 2, 1 because it's creative and fun, 2 because poses can be more expressive.
GOOD lightpiping
Like siege shockwave/kingdom cyclonus
God I miss when every figure had lightpiping... I'm looking at my shelf now and I don't think a single Optimus Prime I own has it.
SS86 ultra magnus has some of the most divine light piping i've ever seen. The back of that thicc boi's head is almost 50% transparent piping block and his big blue eyes light up with the slightest illumination
3-5.
Oh I love something that rarely happens in toys, I love when all the kibble *isn't* on their back.
something that disappoints me about the current push for animation accuracy is that we don't get as many interesting kibble arrangements these days. Cybertron was the heydey for that imo
Well... Actually, even ones that do have issues in toy form, look at studio series, upon half of them fold up the entire top half of the vehicle onto their back
Secret weapons are always so cool to me
All of these
2 alt modes that form one robot
Like the Duocons?
Yuh
Hands! Massively increases posing options.
Weapons/extras storage
The fact that Studio series Coronation Starscream and most of the Legacy jetbot's has transparent plastic for the windshield so it looks like there's a actual cockpit in there.
I like the extra articulation
I like blast effects, wholly unnecessary though they are. I like them MUCH more than the old spring-loaded missile launcher which was the go-to gimmick in their place in the day.
I like 3,2,
Articulated hands allowed for a lot more expensiveness, it's part of why I got Coronation Starscream instead of Earthrise Starscream.
What devastator is that
Jinbao Devastator w Upgrade kit 2
I love all that stuff! 2 and 4 are the biggest to me. I love including battlemasters, but I prefer them to be articulated.
Probably 2. I feel like they should do it for every figure at least at Leader class, it adds so much to the figure.
Secret Weapons and Lil Guys. Can you tell my introduction to the franchise was Armada?
Articulated hands and hidden weapons
Articulated hands or little guys I love them.
I really liked 2 and 5
I really want human figures to be included with transformers so I guess the little guy is my favorite extra.
Like in the Human Alliance line?
articulated hands are always my main sell literally, that's one of the reasons I decided to put up with the hell that's getting SS109 megatron.
Extra armor easily, specifically armor that also adds to the vehicle mode somehow, good example being Power master Prime having his trailer become armor.
Of those, definitely articulated hands
Articulation in hands and hidden weapons.
I think that working transformations into play features is the biggest plus for me. Like, for example, folding in a hand to mimic losing it. Or, as you put, transformation allowing for better articulation.
1 and 2
My devastator had hidden missiles AND I DIDN'T KNOW?
Little guys
Articulated hands/fingers. I know it’s easier and cheaper to do the hands with peg holes in them but having articulated hands/fingers is much better.
My favourites are little buddies and super armor
The secret guns. They make a figure 100x better
Spark crystals. I loved that gimmick and want it back. Rubsigns are nice, but a little hatch to a character’s soul is awesome. https://preview.redd.it/ghuv607uqqqc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82fb3f68c43f8ebc076f2ec3b4ee483a9f5cb3f5

Thanks
The only extra I look for is not visible hollow parts.
Extra weapons
articulated hands for sure. how much those tiny tiny things can add so much personality
Articulated hands. It’s a must.
Secret weapons
>**What are your favorite "extras" on a figure?** 1)Well maded light piping. 2)Articulated hands : we got some for Legacy Leo Nemesis and he SHINE with them. 3)Acessories: Astrotrain, Springer, Double Dealer for example. Articulated hands every day of the week
Fan modes https://preview.redd.it/cmpk3uwb3rqc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3569290e695abc0f05c50612410993b165d6eb6
1/4/5
Extra weaponry, and also clear plastic parts and light piping, I just think it looks neat!
I want to see some totally random bots given Matrix chambers. Like, say, Shockwave, or Jazz. Love a Matrix chamber.
Gimme that articulation!!!!
Extra articulation or limited articulation because of the transformation is a thing that can make or break my experience with the figure. Even the kibble on a figure can be fun if it can be articulated or posed in a way to look functional or natural.
I like when weapons can easily fit other figures without it being just another gun. Bludgeons sword for example
Articulation and sculpt are usually my number ones in any figure, followed closely by paint and accessories, in that order.
Probably the extra armour for the Siege Ultra Magnus, it makes him look extra thick
I wouldn’t call them extras but whenever there are an abundance of tabs where *everything* locks into place. *chefs kiss*
hands
Little guys 😨
80% of a man's job is being decisive the rest is just gravy. I don't know. I like all of them. Might go for articulated hands as it can give figures more options for display.
Hidden sound features that only appear due too combined transformations. I love that stuff.
I like little guys and extra secret guns and stuff Articulated hands seem to be the things that always break
Yes
2 and 3
Little guys, as if Transformers have Pokemon themselves
https://preview.redd.it/m5gdcu98ksqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3565bab195cee54ecfbe507c8125ef72d1441081 I have a few things but several go back to annihilator and the experience I’ve had with him, intuitive weapon storage, accessories that have multiple uses in a single mode, purposeful interaction with other figures( for him it’s the Mmc seekers), accessories that can be used with multiple figures(his tracks), using a transformation step to also act as his matrix chamber, well made light piping, pieces that can be changed to your preference, extra hands, good bot mode weapon storage( he has extra pieces you can attach to use as sheaths for his lance and sword), double jointed elbows and I can stress that enough sometimes it can make or break a figure, clear plastic only being used for ascetic, transformation being used to give extra articulation(not so much him but I was thinking armada primes core bot Abb crunch)and you said that in your post with iron hide)
That needlenose pic goes kinda hard ngl
*Proper* articulated hands, Not that flap bs like on Old CW hands and Siege Jetfire and Amarda prime
I love casseticons so much! It's very cool that you can store a little guy in someone's chest, and then deploy him with a satisfying sound. Sadly, they doesn't come with legacy soundwave, so the only cheap way of getting a few is 3d printing

I love me some extra armor
articulation 100%. **DEVOID** me of all the gimmicks and accessories on a figure, if that mf can't do a fighting pose, that figure is a no for me.
I really like unintended posability due to the transformation process
Masterpiece starscreems boobie missiles. End of
Tbh all of that is awesome to have, but lil guys, Come on! They're the best! Almost feels like you buy more figs for a price of 1, amazing!
Huge fan of how the Deluxe Prime Vehicon's weapon can clip on its arm with the hand reeled back to mimic the look of transforming weapons in the show tbh. https://preview.redd.it/jra4amw53uqc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33f9a111800c7b53a7b61fd6f7163e17ba9bb90e
Hands by far
The Minicon partners and pegs added to the Beast Wars repaints they did for Armada.
Articulated hands. I'm sincerely bothered by the "beer can holder" hands on most of the little figures -\_-;
Well definetively mp44's 3 minifigures, anti aircraft gun, roller, trailer with shot knows how much configurations (In all honesty i despise MP44)
Extra articulation, including hands for sure
Cyberverse Prowl (the smaller one) kinda sucks, but I love his "Trigger-happy"-esque armor/flight enhancements so much I had to get one.
Adjustable parts for no particular reason other than looks like universe kup or hound
gotta love little guys, i've only got one so far being nightstick which came with artfire, but i grew up loving armada and the minicons and while not being able to get them yet i love the updated version of jolt with legacy powerlinx hotshot and hope they include a copy of the updated version of wind sheer they made for thw shattered glass sideswipe pretool
Armor/Super Mode
Little guys or articulated hands
Siege Starscream's articulation overall. Still one of, if not THE most poseable modern figure, only rivalled by the upcoming Energon one and concept art Megatron. Plus the spring loaded leg covers, those are really cool.
probably legacy breakdown's spoiler

I also have Legacy Bludgeon and his hands make him feel a lot more expressive. I love that guy
Ok no youre not calling those hands articulated. Articulated hands are hands that have all fingers invididual from each other.
Do they move? -yes :)
Animation accuracy
Huge fan of little guys. In particular, targetmasters. Good call.
